I think the complete opposite.  I gamble for fun.  People spend money to go watch a concert why cant i gamble for entertainment.  Whether i spend $200 on a comcert or $200 gambling if they both entertain me then why not?  If you plan to gamble to make money, it will cripple your mental health.  Most gamblers over the long term dont make that much money.  The highs and lows emotionally arent worth it.

Easy to say, but it's hard to do. I've gambled as well and had that kind of thinking, but there are times where I went from gambling from fun to gambling for the sake of profit and of course, I end up losing because I'm always not contented with my profits. That was when I'm still a newbie in gambling.

Gambling for most especially for the average people are an avenue for them to make money and that's how they see it. Can't blame them of course and the only way for them to change it is to let them experience that making profit in gambling isn't as easy as how they think. For most of the time, those rich people who don't even care about losing their money are the ones that have this kind of thinking where they are gambling for fun. Most are gambling for profit.

It all depends on each individual how to deal with gambling because there are several reasons why they gamble, some just fill their free time by enjoying gambling games, including looking for sensations or just for fun, looking for new ways to fight boredom, relieve stress and gambling can lighten the mood, looking for opportunities to beat opponents, socialize or just test our luck with the skills we have.

I'm not sure about this statement, i mean, a poker tournament can be fun and money if the consequence if you get to the end same with sport bets where you will enjoy a match more if money is involved. To see your favorite team win feels good, but win money while they win feels better.

So, gambling can be done for fun and not always for money, if you are chasing the money then go with a high multiplier and go all in, if your bet is lucky then just walk away with the profit.

You need to differentiate between "investment" and "gambling". When you gamble, you are simply risking your money there in the hope that you will win from your game. But you have to understand that here you are playing against the house edge where your chances of winning are not that high. So it is not "investment" as you say, it is basically gambling and there is no guarantee that you can win here. If you feel that your hard earned money should come back to you more than what you gambled, then gambling is not for you and you need to change that mindset.

Sorry but I will have to completely disagree with you, this type of mindset is what lead many people into gambling with money they should have used for something more important. Business is not the same thing as gambling, for in business, you invest in goods and have a good level of guarantee that you will get something back plus profit, where as in gambling, there is no such guarantee.

I can categorically tell you that some people will prefer to spend their money on movies because, in movies, they have guarantee of watching the movie they paid for and enjoying it, but in gambling, there is no guarantee that you will get any monatery reward back in return except having fun and enjoying the game.

From my personal opinion I disagree with your statement.
If you consider gambling as an investment, it is clearly not an investment. Investment is something that is done in the long term or short term and you fully control your assets. While gambling is fully managed by the casino owner and you only come to pay to find pleasure.
Don't think of all of that as the same because it is all very different. If you really want to invest, everyone will prefer to buy BTC and hold it in the long term and the assets are fully controlled by ourselves.

It is not even most gamblers do not make money over long term. It is most gamblers are losing in gambling over long term which is the right sentence to use for it. Most people that got addicted got addicted because they wanted to earn from gambling. There strategy will fail and they will look for another one and so on and they will continue to lose. Most among them will lose and later know that they should change and they will start gambling with small amount of money but around 20% of them will not change and get addicted. Mate no one should be thinking that gambling is a proper investment opportunity. Unless you will be investing in a casino or building one for your own, it is not really an investment. The risks are too high and the chances of winning are too unstable for it to be considered as anything as something I just like to do for fun. Gambling cannot be categorized as buying and selling, they are very different from each other, you buy goods and sell for profit but when you gamble you are risking your money, you don't know if you can win or lose. Why most people that gambles responsibly sees it as fun is because they don't want to take it very serious, considering that loses occures more than wins. If you see gambling as a place to make money it can lead to addiction because you will be continually chasing loses to recover and make profits, it might not happen as you planned. Sorry but your opinion seems to be different from what the op (the post you quoted) is saying, your comment seems to be centered around bankroll management, while the op is talking about not treating gambling as a funfair, or means of having fun as believed it should be treated by alot of other gamblers.

Well, this two are different just incase I understand you correctly, and as a matter of facts, decreasing or increasing one's bet amount based on how big or small one's bankroll is does not directly opens any door to being a successful gambler, this tactics or method only helps a gambler better manage their bankroll.
