I have heard a lot of complains on how people get scammed and losing their crypto assets, any one who holds BTC is like a friend and a brother/sister to me . i feel so hurt when ever i hear that my brother/sister has been scammed of crypto , especially if its my favorite bitcoin. i got a crush on BTC Wink. we all need to avoid this scammers because they are still out there searching for victims. we should all know that this Crypto scammers love to create a sense of urgency or FOMO (fear of missing out). They may pressure you to invest immediately without giving you time to conduct proper research. we have to be careful and make proper research before making investment. some scammers even go further to send fake BTC. To know if your received BTC is real or fake, Check the transaction hash on the blockchain, if it doesn't exist then it's fake. Make sure the inputs, outputs, and fees are in line with what you'd expect. you can also make blockchain verifications by Using explorers to validate the transaction details Kiss   If you have read this post, stay safe and keep BTC safe, and most importantly " I LOVE YOU" Wink :

Op you're actually right because one sector of the economy that is emerging in our present time is the crypto currency sector owing to the fact that it is one area that has a lot of prospects and growth rates over a given period of time especially Bitcoin so everyone is looking for a way to benefits that Bitcoin offers but of recent times the greatest problem that the crypto community has been experiencing is scam relating crypto currency related activities infact there is no country that has accepted crypto currency that has not experienced a scam related case scam in crypto currency that even if your trying to create awareness about crypto currency online you will be seen as a scammer

But I think this problem is on the rise because of ignorance on the part of people who don't have sufficient information about crypto currency especially Bitcoin before venturing into it so these scammers will leverage on their ignorance and prey on them and make away with their money

Scammers in crypto are at every turn, you have to be extremely careful. They are constantly evolving too, they are always devising new scams, becoming more sophisticated. If something seeks too good then it is likely a scam, there is no such thing as a free lunch guys. Stay vigilant out there, only you can protect your money.

nowadays scammers are increasingly innovative in deceiving their victims, some through phishing, ponzi schemes, and many other ways. as crypto users, we are expected to always be aware of these scammers by always using a secure wallet and never sharing private keys with anyone, then never being tempted by any offers, never clicking on links carelessly, and using secure devices. always be aware of yourself because there are so many bastar** looking for the assets you have.

Wow someone sending your money by giving you a fake transaction ID? I guess a confidence based scam can work in that manner, but there is no end to the number of lies these scammers can put together to create a scam.

So I guess it works like you send the money to the scammer and the scammer show you a fake transaction ID - guess the basic fact that the victim never had any wallet is the first red flag. Teach them that to view the balance we need some sort of a wallet and trades should be done on exchanges and not to random strangers on the internet.

Sending fake transaction IDs or transaction alerts os one method that is very popular among Bitcoin p2p market users, and also some POS terminals and individuals are the targets of the scammers, most people already know about that IDs or transactions alert scams.

Just we wake up to update put anti viruses each day, same we should update our scammer detection search every day since scammers will never give up and are in a constant attempt to get your attention and your money with new formulas so we need to keep upgrading our security also.

Actually, avoiding the scam of a fake transaction MO is easy because whether transactions are valid or not we can see them on the blockchain. Normally, scammers are using photoshopped screenshot or other dodgy wallet applications, therefore verification for everything needs to be conducted. I do agree that FOMO is a great tool for fraudsters, and an uncontrollable rush into investments without thinking is very dangerous. Of course research helps, but even then, experienced users get fooled. Better stick to well known platforms, double check the addresses, and don't take random offers.

Part of investing in Bitcoin is awareness of the existence of scammers and their schemes; its not enough you know how Bitcoin works and how to trade; every day we read about people getting scammed because they fall for phishing links and they download malware on their computers.
We should all be aware of how they work and the latest news about their scheme, and most of all, how to protect our machines and privacy. We not only have scammers but also thugs who will threaten you to send to their wallet or steal your passphrase.
So become an educated investor, because we are our own bank.

I think you are new in the World of cryptocurrency because our assets are very safe because I Know the all scam techniques. Many scammers are using the data and then they want to get our assets. Fool people will be trapped and they will send the BTC to them . So people should be aware of scams because all people are greedy and they want to robber and they want to be rich quickly by doing scams because without scam , progress is very slow in life and they want quick success. You are right because I also heard when many people lost their assets in scams by doing silly mistakes and scammer gave greed to them and they were entrapped in this .You should research by taking action and don't take quick action because at that time you will do bi mistake and then you will regret for that .

But in reality greed of people make people want to try risky thing since they think money is there. That's why they always be a target with those craps its because people always going after for huge returns.

If investors just know how to settle up their expectations and every movement or action do is always backed with research for sure that they would never fall on any schemes made by these scammers. Its just people need to be aware about those scams and knows which of those program is good also which of them is just a total scam. To many cases happen to other people that we can learn from so it will be good to people to learn from other people mistake than experience those worse situation since that is expensive mistake if they get scam.

Be cautious of the links or sites you visit. Because these scammers are just waiting for someone who will fall on their bait. If you think that the offer is too-good-to-be true, then doubt its legitimacy. Because more than likely, they have hidden agenda why such good offer.
Scammers will continue to do their tactic as long as they can extract from their victims. They can operate anonymously, hence, it is easy for them to get away from their victims and not liable for anything. So need to look out for yourself and not just trust strangers over the net.

Ignorance can save you from a lot but in this case ignorance of scammers will put you in a lot of trouble and put you in the way of danger. If you know about scammers and you are very rare aware of the new method and strategies in which they use in stealing bitcoin you would hardly be a victim to them because of your exposure. Exposure will save you from a lot. In this forum, stories are often shared about how people almost lost their bitcoin to scammers or sadly lost their bitcoin to scammers. This kind of stories are not to be ignored and taken for granted but attention to be paid to how this scammers got their advantage and gained the trust of the victims so that we can avoid it if we become the victims or targets tomorrow.

Some scammers even go further to send fake BTC.
I appreciate every effort to fighting against scammers on and off the forum. But let's not confuse newbies, there is no such thing as fake bitcoin. Scammers cannot send you fake bitcoins neither can they reverse Bitcoin payments once the transaction has been confirmed on the Blockchain.

It might be the false rhetoric that these scammers have been using to dupe newbies. So it is better for the naïve to learn about these methods of scams before they start putting their money in. Only the person who knows how the scam operates can identify the scam in the first place.

So yeah, everyone needs a wallet to get these deals and there should be a reputable escrow to mediate the trade if done on OTC. Otherwise there are loads of exchanges out there that can make the process much simpler.

nowadays scammers are increasingly innovative in deceiving their victims, some through phishing, ponzi schemes, and many other ways. as crypto users, we are expected to always be aware of these scammers by always using a secure wallet and never sharing private keys with anyone, then never being tempted by any offers, never clicking on links carelessly, and using secure devices. always be aware of yourself because there are so many bastar** looking for the assets you have.

It hurts indeed, I think everyone needs quick profit too. Sure, many items are created by scammers to look attractive like crypto-based mining applications whether BTC, LTC or Doge for example.

A real incident in the near future. My friend entered and invested in one of the mining platforms because he couldn't stand the highly fluctuating trading and decided to enter and deposit his funds with them.

Initially when a small number was entered around 30 dollars it worked well and finished so he became more confident. Then he took a larger package of around 300 dollars and that was where the disaster began, when entering the fourth stage of withdrawal his account was held and his withdrawal request was pending on the grounds that you had a double IP and then asked to resend another 300 dollars to be activated and after being sent the drama was created again by the mining company with a note that you had to pay a tax of 190 dollars to the local government and your funds would be disbursed immediately. if we calculate only 30$ the capital has just returned from the first 300 dollar capital and until now it is still the same where the mining contract will end in about 15 days.

I am lazy to mention the platform and that is certainly not good.

Most definitely correct and this is happening since crypto has been found and seen as a vital currency needed by every individuals but the question is how do one really get loose from such scammers with their sugar coated strategies to lure investors and scam them of their money. Cause this is the period all of this usually occur without one's notice and ignorance. Bitcoin is at it's peak and sure holding such assets means a whole lot so then it's needful to be very cautious.

it   If you have read this post, stay safe and keep BTC safe, and most importantly " I LOVE YOU" Wink :
it is funny that you end your post with the words I LOVE YOU if you guys are not aware there was once the biggest and most shocking hacking method that was talked about all over the world and it was through email which consisted the words I LOVE YOU and had a 'love letter' attached that when opened by the receiver, would automatically send itself to everyone else in the receiver's email book to further spread the virus, this virus will then destroy the files on the computer of the receiver

keeping yourself safe also includes knowing different methods how one can have access on your files and device because back then people were not careful of suspicious emails because they were not aware that emails could be dangerous well two decades later and we should know better than open some suspicious emails saying we have won something or something similar

Sounds like a classic scam tactic. The fact that they asked for another $300 should be enough to trigger an alarm already. I guess your friend was still new to crypto when that happened. When did this happen btw? Did your friend not look for reviews before he used the website? I wonder how he found the website too. If it's from ads it's not a surprise that you end up with scams. If it's still operating to this day you should probably expose them so that we can report it.

Unfortunately this is true, there are a lot of people who are having hard time differentiating serious and legal stuff with scammers. The main reason for this is that scammers are evolving and they are doing it better and better, which results with them having a better return as well. I have seen too many scams that looked like a real good opportunity to invest, they do not make it obvious these days, thankfully I have been around and seen many examples so I do not fall for it, but I can see people who are falling for those scams and I understand why, because they do a really good job.

In fact, I talked with my friend recently and we joked about a scam, and we said these dudes could have made a real good token, but instead they decided to do a scam project instead, so these scammers had the talent and even funding to make a real project if they wanted to, they are really that good but for some reason they just decided to go with scamming route instead.
