Of course. Bitcoin is overdue for a dump. The recent "pump" towards $100k is due to hype. Especially after Trump won the 2024 elections. We should expect things to settle within 1-2 years from now. I, for one, am waiting for Bitcoin to go back to $30k to buy some more. I'm sure many bitcoiners here on the forums are also waiting for the same thing.

It's true that the recent surges in the price of Bitcoin are more or less founded on hype, but there's a possibility it would be sustained. If so, it won't just be a mere hype anymore.

If the US will indeed create a Bitcoin strategic reserve, the dump that many are expecting won't happen. Or if the numerous Bitcoin strategic reserve bills filed in many states in the US are signed into law and state treasuries begin purchasing Bitcoin, this might create a global domino effect and we might be bidding goodbye to a 5-digit price for good.

Bitcoin is not a pump and dump cryptocurrency, and it is biggest difference of Bitcoin compares to altcoins.

Bitcoin can surge or plumment but it's not a pump and dump coin, especially in 2024 and 2025 market cycle when its market cap becomes bigger a lot, trading volume becomes higher a lot.

In short term, such rises are from hype, news effects, but in long term, Bitcoin has made many new all time highs, and made many price bands as Never Look Back ones.

Events, policies, adoption things will help Bitcoin value and price growing sustainably with time, and it's what it is.

I will be happy if the dump is happening especially if the price can down below $100k. That will be a big discount for us to buy Bitcoin at lower price so we should prepare our money to buy Bitcoin. But we may see many corrections come this month or next months as that will always happens like that so we must be ready for the coming.

We can sell some Bitcoin after the price reach the new ATH so we will have more money that we can use to buy Bitcoin at a low price. But we should be careful because the down of the price will not be easy to predict and we may difficult to find the lowest price.

The price was actually below 100k a few weeks ago, or was it days back, before climbing back to the $100k level, which we are currently at now? If you missed buying it that time, what makes you think you can also take the opportunity of buying if the price drops down again this time? A price dump is considered an opportunity to buy cheap, but how many people take good advantage of such an opportunity? You might still be waiting for it to go down more while it takes an unexpected turn.

Of course not! I've never said that. What I meant is that Bitcoin is like a rollercoaster ride. Prices can go up and down at any moment. With every bullish period, comes a bearish one. I'm waiting for the temporary "dump" (or bloodbath) to buy more BTC at a discount.

I know many of us are waiting for prices to go back to $30k. Sounds like a dream. But nothing's impossible in crypto land. The excitement will begin once BTC goes all the way to $1m. It will make many of us rich. Who knows what surprises we'll find in the future? Cheesy

Well, is it? Bitcoin had been quite stable since the previous May up until President Trump was elected, which sparked a major spike in Bitcoin's price. Don't get me wrong; I don't disagree with you, but I'm just pointing out that from how I've observed Bitcoin, the past year hasn't had much of a rollercoaster ride; even known analysts and traders were claiming that its volatility has stabilized quite a lot. I don't recall having major volatility nor severe ups and downs that weren't resolved within the next few days.

Nowadays, seeing Bitcoin range from $103,000 to $108,000 isn't a major volatility to me; even if it drops as much as $95,000 or even lower, I wouldn't find it as big of a deal, because just like I mentioned earlier, such drops usually resolve within the upcoming day or two at most.

One reason why I said Bitcoin is overdue for a dump is cause yearly market open just started and last year candle left so many unfilled fvg for me personally I would still like to see more dump if bitcoin price for this month probably this month cancle close we would get a proper PA of how next month is going to be, if we lose $90k then $85k should be printed on the chart
What is PA? I want to see Bitcoin dump, i don't have lot of money to buy at a very high price the only way is for the price to dump more. I wish Bitcoin can get down to 50K$ so i can buy, i missed out already when i was introduced and signed to the forum, i should have learnt by now how to blend my source of income into buying Bitcoin, i just realized today that i missed out on so many things, introduced to Bitcoin and the forum and really want to be part of Bitcoin when we boom again.

Well, it happened as it plunged down from around $105,000 to as low as $98,000. Not as low as $95,000 but huge drop is enough to liquidate almost $250 Billion worth of longs. I hope that most of the traders will realize the importance of stop-losses. Cheesy

What's good though is that after a few hours, it went back up to $101,000 and currently is sitting at that price. Like you, I wouldn't mind dropping to even as low as $90,000 because we are in a bull run, and in a few days, it will just go back up just like what we saw currently.

I want to see Bitcoin dump, i don't have lot of money to buy at a very high price the only way is for the price to dump more. I wish Bitcoin can get down to 50K$ so i can buy,

Did you buy some Bitcoin when the price went down below $100,000? You might not have a lot of money, but that's an opportunity, and you can still make a few bucks if you bought below it, choose to hold it and sell it today or in the following days.

If you want for Bitcoin to dump even more, wait for the bear market to happen. When? Possible next year. We can wish anything just like others here, but can you wait? If yes, then wait for months before it dumps to $50,000 just like you wish. Smiley

I don't understand why people are always wishing for a big decline in the price of Bitcoin so they'll be able to acquire more of it, yes it a big opportunity to buy at a more cheaper price but Instead of waiting for the price to drop, why not just DCA which is another way of maximising profits and recover loses, the market is always fluctuating and sometimes our expectations are cut short, for instance while one might the waiting for Bitcoin to drop below 100k it could go the other way and even get above the current ATH which is about 108k, we're in a bullish season the price is expected to keep going higher than declining and lately Bitcoin doesn't take too long to spike after a correction, it dropped below 100k about yesterday and currently it's back to the 100k mark. Anyways, it's more better to do the DCA and still take advantage of price decrease if it occurs, instead of waiting then it keeps going upwards rather than going down as expected.

I doubt bitcoin will go back to $30k to be honest. Yes, its price will go down in the next few years and it will not set any new ATHs but I do not think we can expect bitcoin to go down that low.

For every new ATH, we can expect bitcoin's lowest price to go higher and higher.

It seems very unlikely at the moment. Not even a huge bloodbath (dip) in market prices will be able to get BTC back to $30k. Those days are over. If you missed the train (like I did), you'll have to wait until the market turns bearish again. The new bottom would probably be between $70k - $80k. Better grab that chance before it's too late.

At least we know Bitcoin will continue to rise in price for the foreseeable future. Assuming demand stays high, of course. With many institutional investors and governments going all in, we can rest assured BTC won't be going anywhere soon. Here's hoping for the best. Smiley
