**WHAT IS FLOPCOIN?**

Flopcoin is a layer 1 no-premine decentralized cryptocurrency launched December 9th, 2024. Flopcoin was forked from Dogecoin and is minable. It uses the scrypt mining algorithm.

The name "Flopcoin" is an homage to the "Floptropica" meme community, also known as "FlopTok". It is meant to be a memecoin similar to Dogecoin. Beyond simply being a store of value or a digital currency, our team hopes to integrate Flopcoin into social media services to allow tipping your favorite creators.
