I would say that for a beginner in trading, going for prop firm challenge might not be the best option. It would be much better to practice and refine a strategy without risks using a demo account. Start by learning the basics, such as market analysis, risk management, and so on

Exactly, that would be a better start for every newbie unless if they are not new to trading and have experience in trading before hoping this forum to ask for opinion.
Understanding the basics of trading, market analysis, and trading strategies on their own is usually taken time, so most newbies don’t usually focus on these, they instead rely on people that will supply them with signals to trade, and even with that, I think they need the basic knowledge to place the trade and to close the trade when necessary.
Competition of any form shouldn’t be for newbies, they should focus on demo accounts to give them insights on how to apply risk management in trading and how to place and order be it a limit order or market order, and how to apply stop loss and take profit as well; that will be better for them than joining any contest or trading comp.
