Hey everyone, I created a new Chrome extension for accessing crypto data more easily through one's web browser. It's free and by default never collects personal data.

I would be happy if you'll download and review the tool. Just follow oen of the links here:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/crypto-badge/iebflfcbcmnipilhipppmfgkljjnjohp

https://www.cryptobadge.info/

Furthermore, if anyone would like to have a technological cooperation I'm open for suggestions. Just e-mail me: sagyeli@gmail.com

***EDIT***

Thanks to @Bitcoinsummoner, here is a screenshot, hopefully explainatory enough, about the extension:

What is the benefit of using this crypto badge? Why do users use these tools to get help using this forum? Can you explain more about these tools?

Here you know the benefits of this tool https://talkimg.com. If you can get help from another user, you must create a usable crypto badge like Talkimg.

I don't plan to use your extension, but i think few people would find your extension handy. Anyway, i have few thoughts and question.
1. What cryptocurrency is supported? Only BTC?
2. Are there any limitation (such as amount of address/TXID can be searched or address without too many transaction)?
3. You claim you don't collect personal data, but chrome store mention this.

I don't think you're lying, so you may want to update description on chrome store.

I stopped using Chrome a long time ago, and anyone who values their privacy should do the same. Firefox is a good alternative, Tor is even better. Globally, a lot of people use Chrome, but this is still a forum where most people should use alternatives.

It looks like your extensions is just using information found on bitinfocharts website, but if you are using other sources please post them here.
If it is true that you are not collecting any personal information from users than you should release this extension as open source and post it on github.

I don't like any more Google Chrome extensions, they cause a lot of slowness and problems and can be unreliable, I recently read a story about a malicious Chrome extension that caused a user named @CryptoNakamao to lose $1 million due to a malicious Chrome extension called Aggr.
https://slowmist.medium.com/unraveling-how-a-malicious-extension-stole-a-million-dollars-e847a83cc50e

So crypto users who use Chrome should be very careful when using any Chrome extension.

Hey ABCBits, thank you for your sincere comments.

1. Currently the extension supports Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin and soon while support Solana as well.
2. Currently not official limitation. The only "limitation" depends on how fast Tatum.io API is able to bring my Azure functions the information.
3. Indeed currently the extension does not collection any personal information, yet in the future I intend allow users to tag address and maybe transactions too and for that it will require the user to identify itself. That future feature will be non mandatory and no personal information will be collected unless the user specifically permits it.

Eli

Thank you dkbit98 for your comment

All the data is for all addresses is drawn directly from each currency's blockchain, currently using Tatum.io as intermediary NodeJs SDK. The extension itself can be reviewed here: https://github.com/elisagy/cryptobadge-chrome-extension

I never knew about this and I was thinking chrome is the fastest browser to use since it processes more faster than any other browser. Though for some while I stop using it over to edge browser, I don't know if this is also sure as well? Since you mention Firefox I wouldn't mind downloading to start using it.
