Most complete Bitcoin API

I'm doing some research into modelling bitcoin volatility and was wondering if anyone could recommend a more complete API (that includes prices and timestamp) than bitstamp-USDs' API? The number of recorded observations is erratic early on sometimes with 4-5 hour blank windows, this is not ideal for time series data.
