Trading have a lot of similarity with gambling with the difference almost insignificant. Your distinction id primarily base on the fact that you see trading as skill whereas gambling as entirely a thing of luck and I want to fault such line of thought because gambling too require skills and those who have the right skills are able to win gambling much more than those who approach it like it were just a thing of luck. On the basis of skill and emotions, trading and gambling are completely similar just that the risk make them a little different as the risk of trading is more controllable than that of gambling.

Trading and gambling are never the same. Many people think of trading as gambling, for example, if someone is ignorant and has no idea about trading. When he trades, it can be called gambling. Otherwise, if someone learns trading completely and trades, whether he loses or wins, it will not be included in gambling, trading is not gambling.

You never need skill to gamble. If you want to gamble on cricket, then if a team is a little bad, then if the team is a little good. Then you will be offered more money than the good team. In that case, you do not need to know much. No skill or experience is ever useful while gambling. But in trading, skill and experience are very important for a trader.

Code:
You have really highlighted a very points and some similarities about trading and gambling well I from my own perspective I think the both are quite the same the both are having higher risk both trading and gambling have high expectations and risk management, both of are also been analyzed or are been study their trade or games before been played, if check deeper emination decisions making are both involved in trading and gambling for example fear and greed or excitement.
Understanding the difference between trading and gambling and be aware of it eminational and psychological this help individuals make informed decisions about the the two

 1. RISK:   the biggest thing wey separate gambling and trading na risk, for the two risk dey sha but with trading you fit control your risk, too many parameters and avenue dey to control your risk, for gambling the chances to control risk dey very slim.

When it comes to risk, I don't see much different between trading and gambling. Both involve risk just as you have said. I'm into sport betting, and nowadays punters can use the cashout bottom to terminate games if the games is going against them. This help to stop the betting, giving you part of your money. To me, this is somehow similar to that of stop loss from trading. Another one is the one game cut bottom, This helps when a single game spoil your accumulated game. So both trading and gambling help in managing risk but just in different way.
I think that there is a difference between trading and gambling because in gambling you have no control over what happens to what you have predicted to happen while in trading it's a different game because you have a control of your trade it's all depends on you if you have a mastery of the forex market because for you to be successful in the forex market you have to have a good practical knowledge of the forex market, so in terms of the risk involved in the two trading is less riskier than gambling because you have control of what really happens to your trade

For those who have not gained enough experience, trading will seem like gambling. Therefore, to become proficient in trading, we need to have a lot of training and sufficient analytical skills. It is important to remember that nothing comes easy, and with a lot of perseverance and patience, any difficult obstacle can be overcome.

Of course there is a difference. Trading is a risk taking where you can make a profit or lose money according to experience but gambling is unpredictable and you can lose your money surely. Gambling is mostly based on luck and even experienced gamblers can lose a lot of money. Experienced traders are more likely to make a profit from trading as they apply their strategies and are ready to buy regularly in every price trend. In the Forex market, any experienced trader can earn a decent amount of money every week based on practical knowledge. Gambling is almost entirely based on luck. Here you may be able to make potential decisions through experience but you have to rely on luck to win. The chances of losing are high.

Anything that will bring you profits will definitely involve in a risk, and is only the trading that have risk management,  gambling you can't minimise risk,  you can lose since is a game of luck you can't predict the outcome sometimes. Trading always give more opportunity of getting profits then doing gambling, because in trading if you have understood the strategy have enough experience about it anytime you stake, the market can probably go to your way and you will definitely get profit. And trading is more better then gambling because in trading you can be perfect on it and be getting profits back to back and your loses won't be much. since you have get enough knowledge and get different strategies you are using to stake. And in gambling he don't depend on who is perfect because all about gambling is lucky and if he favour you don't mean you are perfect on it, you can win today and next day lose back to back so anyone that understands crypto very well he can different the both you can't join them together.

Even though trading and gambling resemble for face that resemblance no pass for face there, u go make very serious mistake to think say trading and gambling na the same thing, and if you enter trading with that gambling mindset wahala go dey. so weting be the difference between the two

 1. RISK:   the biggest thing wey separate gambling and trading na risk, for the two risk dey sha but with trading you fit control your risk, too many parameters and avenue dey to control your risk, for gambling the chances to control risk dey very slim.

 2. RESULT: Another thing wey separate these two na how to achieve the desired result wey be PROFIT, with gambling your chances dey based on luck and odds, and these two dey too random for somebody to base success on them naim make most gamblers na once once them dey cash out something sef before you see that one cash out you don play tire, loose money tire...with trading, results dey random too but e no dey based on luck and odds  the results dey based on information, historical data wey you fit go back to anytime anyday to help you see wetin market don do before so that u go fit Bank on am then trade, for example make we say market dey trend, e go must hit one or two important areas or prices before e reverse  so you fit bank on some of these kinds of information and data to trade, so your success now no dey based on luck and odds again but market behavioural consistency(price action, market structure and order flow).

3. DATA: with gambling your data sources dey limited if at all anyone dey, naim make gamblers results dey based on luck but with things like trading crypto and other asset classes, you get numerous sources of data, for example, you get fundamental data, sentimental data, technical data and even relational data, by the time you don put your head down learn these informations and know wr to find them, your trading go make sense even dey easier with time as you gather experience and growth

TIMING: while gambling na something wey be start now end now, trading na game of patience, you must learn patience to dey able to trade otherwise you go dey loose money like say u dey gamble

Unfortunately plenty people no know these things so them dey use the mindset of gambling to enter trading naim make person go carry money wey be urgent 2k for another thing use am to trade to make quick profit then send back the main money, without experience or anything, just because them see another person dey make money from trading them feel say na based on 2 odds or over 2.5,..those kind things no dey ever work because even  if luck dey important e dey less needed for trading and the market no dey pity person

I no fit talk all the differences here but these ones na the key ones I know say others get too to add, but las las abeg trading and gambling no be the same thing,

True true, we no fit take away the fact say them resemble somehow, especially say dem two get high risk stats and also person fit loose money Wella. You fit do trading say make e be for short time or make e stay long small, the same thing also they for bettings, especially sorts bettings. You fit just play sports betting for a shirt time, you fit also play for a long time like if u bet on certain options wey go need you to wait till the end of the season before you talk of winning or losing. So somehow, we fit still see similarities for the timing.

Na for the data analysis side wey I dey see small difference. The both get data base and analysis wey you fit check, study and bet or trade on, but  you see that sports betting analysis, e no dey trusted at all. You fit check history finish for 10yrs past, yet, them fit enter field play another thing wey go shock you. For trading side too, we know say e dey shake too and e no too dey dey stable, but with better study analysis, market wave, and patience, you fit still get something tangible out.

But any how we take talk am or point out their differences, I still believe say their resemblance and similarities plenty full for basket pass their differences.

On the basis of skill and emotions, trading and gambling are completely similar just that the risk make them a little different as the risk of trading is more controllable than that of gambling.

Trading and gambling has some similarities but that doesn't make them the same. The knowledge that someone need to aquire before they can be considered as a trader is very important, and it requires deep knowledge and understanding to trade and it will be your guidelines through the journey of trading. Traders work very hard to make sure that their efforts never go in Vain, but still they can't prevent themselves from losing totally, but they are strategies that they applied to minimize the losses. but gamblers play on luck, they don't aquire any knowledge before gambling.
I see very little similarity between trading and gambling, and that is the amount of risk. Trading can be profitable by gaining knowledge, skills, market movements and adopting various strategies, but very few people achieve success in trading. Over time, you can achieve success in trading by gaining experience and increasing the amount of knowledge.

It is very difficult to succeed in betting or gambling and it depends on your luck.
For example: Imagine you are betting on a football match, you can never say for sure which team will win, you can only bet on a match based on guesses, it is uncertain. And during the match you can see that you are losing the match, you will not get your money back for this match even if you want to.
So I think there is no much difference between trading and gambling except the amount of risk. It depends entirely on your perspective. Gambling does not require much experience, you can gamble with a little knowledge. Gambling either wins or loses. The outcome of a match is determined in a very short time. Trading and gambling are not easy for beginners.

Trading and gambling has so many similarities morespecially in terms of getting quick profit, this is the core reason while trading is consider as gambling since both traders and gambler's are in for quick profit. The chances of losing one's income in both trading and gambling is high and both is unpredictable because both involves However I will not denied the fact that trading and gambling also have some differences despite the similarities, so the main reason why the term trading is mostly considered as gambling is because both gamblers and traders have the same motive which is to make quick profit.

Gamblers are more likely to lose money because you can only lose the amount of money you bet when you place a bet and there is no chance of getting it back. I am not in favor of comparing gambling with trading for this reason. You said that people who trade want to make quick profits gamblers have the same attitude. It may not be right to compare them with experienced gamblers who have been trading for a long time. In the case of new traders there may be expectations of making more money through trading in a short period of time which you may compare to gambling. Traders can make losses and there is a possibility of getting profits along with the capital after some time. On the contrary gamblers never have the possibility of getting back the money they lose.

For my own opinion I go say Trading na Opposite of thesame COIN. Normal Gambling na bad habit with the expectation say you fit win but you no dey sure of your winning, while Trading na legit gambling wey get strategic measures to take but if e turnout say e no fall for your prediction you fit loose but if e enter for you, that wan mean say you gain...

Like this I no see much difference between the 2, because the 2 of them calculation of strategy and timing follow, just say one give you legit regard while the other na anyhow anyhow regard, that na if you win o

The reason why people think say trading an gambling is same na because the two involved high risk .in gambling and trading person fit just lose all in money at once.Traders and gambler's get the same mission to get quick money ,for this reason wey make people come see the teo as the same thing.

These two things ( gambling and trading) na almost the same thing oo because them get similarities, both gambling and trading involve analysis though the analysis differs somehow because in gambling you go check the statistics of the game you want to play, their present performance and some other things and in trading you will  also need to check the current movement of the market, how the market behaves in an hour or days ago and current position of the market and the two involves putting money to get back money but one thing is certain, profit is not always guarantee.

Trading may be a bit similar with gambling, but the truth is that there is a huge difference between them. Here is how they differ

Trading is strategic and Gambling is based on Luck/chance:

In trading be it Forex, Crypto or Stock, decisions are mostly driven by Market analysis, trends and technical indicator. Even with the risk associated with it the trader always through critical analysis create a suitable methods for managing this risk.

Gambling however is solely based on luck, no amount of analysis can guarantee can guarantee you a win. The odds are rarely in your favor, it is always in the favor of the gambling site or company.

Just see it like this when one invest in a coin based on its popularity and hype, hopping to get the best, without proper research, this can be equated to gambling. But when one takes enough time to analyse the price movement, along side the risks involved and then how to manage this risk then that's trading.

The thing is that the two of them can be the same thing for you or anyone base on the particular approach wey you use follow am up because I believe there are so many gamblers who follow up trading with the sense of gambling and technique that they use in gambling and in the end all results they get from trading are gambling related.

TBH, I don’t blame people when Dey say “trading na gambling” I mean, on the surface it kind of looks that way. Both involve risk, both can give you quick returns or heavy losses, and both involve a whole lot of speculation. But make we talk truth, e no be the same thing at all.

Yes, trading and gambling get similarities. In both, you're basically predicting Watin fit happen next. In trading, you're speculating on whether Bitcoin go go up or down. In gambling, na who go win, or which card go show face. And yes, both of them dey uncertain. But the how dey very different.

Trading no be play. It’s not just an investment, it’s a full time mental work. You’re not just pressing buy and sell anyhow. You're watching charts, using strategy, understanding market structure, reading news, calculating risk... And if you nor get sense, market go humble you quick.

Gambling on the other hand, mostly na vibes and luck. People dey say dem get strategy for casino but deep down, na hope and maybe small understanding. With trading, if you nor get skill and you nor study market well, forget it your wallet go tell you the rest. That’s the big difference: one depends more on skill and calculated decision making, the other na just dice and hope say luck dey your side.

From my own experience, I was actively trading for a while. It was fine at first, but over time I come realize how much energy e dey take. The constant screen time, the emotional up and down of wins and losses, and the mental load of analyzing every move the market makes. It got so tiring, and I had to take a step back.

That’s why I decided to shift my focus to Bitcoin investing and accumulation. I started buying and just holding them with a long term view. This one get peace of mind and still keeps me involved in the space without the daily stress. I’m not saying trading is bad, it’s actually a great skill if you get the time and mental capacity for am. But if you're not prepared mentally, nor even bother. Cus e go mess with your head if you’re not grounded.

My advice? Before going into trading, be honest with yourself. Are you ready to do the work, study the charts, manage losses without breaking down, and stay consistent? If not, maybe it is better to start with investing, learn at your own pace, and try grow from there.

At the end of the day, both trading and gambling carry risk. The key difference na how much control and skill you fit bring into the game. In trading, skill makes a big difference. In gambling, luck does most of the work…

I no fit talk all the differences here but these ones na the key ones I know say others get too to add, but las las abeg trading and gambling no be the same thing,
Trading and Gambling have been pitched side by side by many people for many years, people have their opinion, but those who can back up their claims with constructive facts that trading is gambling doesn't exist because trading and gambling are not the same. Trading has its terms, and so is gambling. The two have their different practices and structure of operation that differentiate them.

You try to do business in trading, a risky type of business, which makes it look like gambling. As risky as it is, there are set out plans like having good strategies, manage your risks correctly and have a good plan to ensure what you know are done right to make profit. But gambling is like that, it is tougher, you must do blind betting based much on guesswork, instinct at play, and senseless risking sometimes to get it done. It is highly luck-based, but trading is not like that. Your efforts and worth in trading will surely be repaid in profits if you know what you are doing, particularly with the security of your account.

Let me enlighten you more especially on this your statement there are so many traders that has not been able to recover the money they have lost during trading likewise gamblers.so the fact that you said there is possibilities of traders getting back whatever money they lost while trading same possibility is also there for gamblers.Trading and gambling are more like game of luck no doubt there may be differences between the two terms but as long as crypto currency is concerned traders are often referred to as gambler since they both have same motive of making quick profit,so it will not be wrong if one decides to use the two terms interchangeably to describe investors that are into bitcoin investment for quick profit.

Op your point may be correct based on how you perceived this two things another point of view will also be correct I speak from little experience I hard, trading risk and lost has no difference from that of gambling, I even see gambling to be more of lesser risk when compared to trading, many traders have put effort and study the candle stick and others guide to trade perfectly but still losing very high, if you use little lot size you make nothing reasonable if you use lot size that is high you still loose in my opinion in risk that appears the same, I can say that they are twin with different name .

Like this I no see much difference between the 2, because the 2 of them calculation of strategy and timing follow, just say one give you legit regard while the other na anyhow anyhow regard, that na if you win o

There's nothing like timing in gamble, and yes, timing the Market is mostly use by traders since trading has to do with short term profit which is why is not advisable for a bitcoin investor to be engaging themselves into timing the Market. However, the difference between trading and  gambling is very clear although the both almost work the same but the only difference between this both is strategy, though this same strategy is also apply in gamble, the reason why gambling strategy is different from that of trading is that no matter the strategy you use in gambling you can not be able to win in a roll rather the strategy can only reduce our chance of losing, but I have seen a lot of people making steady profit from trading through strategy.

But I don't think that their similarity is even up to their differences. What I mean is that I don't think that their similarities is much as the differences. So I don't think that we should consider them the same. They are many characteristics that differentiate trading from gambling. A trader must acquired some knowledge before he can be considered as a professional trader. While a gambler will not go through this processes and he or she can gamble any time he wants. There is hundred percent possibilities of loosing your money in both trading and gambling, but in trading there is 95% possibilities to find an effective/ efficient way to stop yourself from loosing unnecessarily. And it is obvious to anyone that it is very hard or should I said it is impossible to minimize, manage or reduce risk in gambling. In gambling if you win, you will win perfectly and if you lose you will fall flatly, because there is nothing that can be done in that particular moment.
