Hello everyone,

I’m struggling with an issue on my Antminer S19, and I’m hoping for your expertise. Despite my troubleshooting, the miner fails to start mining. Here’s a summary of what I’ve done and the main errors I’m encountering.

What I’ve Tried:
Replaced the control board with a new one and updated the firmware.
Restored factory settings and upgraded firmware during troubleshooting.
Tested all three hashboards individually by disconnecting the others. The issue persists no matter which hashboard is connected.
Verified the power supply is stable and providing proper voltage.
Key Errors from Logs:
Open miner sn file / config / sn error appears at startup.
bad chain id = 3 appears repeatedly.
J255: 2 Sweep error and No full chain exist, exit show during chain initialization.
ERROR_SOC_INIT: soc init failed! is followed by hashboard shutdown.
My Assumptions:
The issue might be with the hashboards, specifically:
An EEPROM problem.
A bad ASIC chip causing the J255: 2 error.
Miscommunication between the control board and hashboards.

Chain 0 or the first hashboard shows 0 ASIC, which means there might be a problem with that hashboard.

The two seem fine and detected all ASIC chips, but since you mention you replaced the control board, the hashboard EEPROM might not sync properly with the new control board. You need to replace it with the original EEPROM that works on that hashboard or use Braiins OS as an alternative to bypass the EEPROM check.

However, you still have one hashboard that fails to run.

Would you mind trying to run the unit first with the Braiins OS? If the first hashboard does not work, you will need to replace or repair it. Check this link below on how to repair hashboard.

Did you ever resolve your issue. I am having the exact same issue and same log errors. I had a bad hashboard and replaced it now none work.

Just to update my issue. I resolved it by flashing s21 miner back to 2024 version of bitmain firmware then loading braiins frimware and all is working. The new board is rocking. I will post the new log to see if we can see why braiins worked but bitmain would now work with new board.

Any replacement hashboard won't work with the stock firmware of Bitmain because of incompatibility issues; serial, EEPROM, and mismatch programs won't work. You need hash board code editor to dump the EEPROM from the stock hashboard that came from the same unit and use that data to flash it to replacement hashboard because if you didn't do that the new hashboard will not work to stock Bitmain firmware unless you use modded or different firmware like Braiins.

I don't know why you bought a new hashboard without trying my suggestion first on my previous post? Did you ignore them?
