If this campaign has stopped, then OP should do the necessary. He/she should change the campaign from accepting participants to stopped or ended so that people won't get confused. If possible he/she should even lock the thread since the campaign has ended.

I believe OP is intentional about leaving it "OPEN". It gives them more unpaid exposure for their business as users continue to wear campaign paraphernalia and bump this thread. It's a win for them.
