In this case , I would say selling your bitcoin investment when Bitcoin goes up or down totally depends on your investment goal. There are long term investors and there are short term investors. If you are in for short time investment, you can sell when you have gotten some profit added to your initial investment even within a short period of time. But as for the long term investors, they can even hold their investment from season to season and does not care about the bitcoin price fluctuation and might eventually sell with huge profit because of their investment goal.

It will interest you to know that there are bitcoin investors that have held their Bitcoin for so long without selling, that is their Bitcoin portfolio is almost as old as bitcoin itself .They bought bitcoin since Bitcoin was created and till date, they have not sold single bitcoin. This is because ,they have their investment goal different from some other investors, they are so optimistic about Bitcoin and envisage more higher price even in future, and would prefer buying more bitcoin instead of selling.

In crypto, you can either be a trader or a hodler. For you to be a trader, you need a great knowledge about trading. It involves great learning. That is why it isn't idea for a newbie in the space to go into trading. They can just buy and hodl, as that isn't involve much knowledge to do. I like weti you talk. Mostly the time frame you talk. As you talk am we no get the particular time wey we tag as di best time, But investors have time to sell but not the best time. Like you you talk am, if I get bitcoin,, I fit talk say na 2030 I go sell and which means I don set a particular time to sell and when the time comes and the price of bitcoin is higher than the rate I buy am, I go sell am and if the price go down di way I buy am. I no go sell am because if I do, I go lose well well.
And e dey good to set a particular year to sell you coins because nobody go hold their bitcoins forever. Minimum of five years e dey okay but I like to hold am for 7 years plus.

In this forum I have come acrossed some post where informations if selling your coin after 10 years is encouraged, and it is actually a good idea to sale your coins after this period of time,
I personally will leave mine for about 15 years or even 20 because I will make use of it after I retire but for now I am okay and comfortable.
So apart from the fact that you have to wait for 10 years there are also personal considerations as well. Like when you need it the most, plans you have for it, goals etc.
But it is generally a long term investment.

Oh forgive my manners, I thought you have been here for some years probably 2-3 years because I didn't look at your registration date I was just speaking base on your rank.
