My reason for this thread is that I want to clear the air on individual choices based on our investment. I will start by saying we have freedom of choice. That is we can make decisions that will help us positively or negatively. Lately, i have seen several threads in the LB emphasizing the following;

1. Holding Bitcoin is better than trading
2. Investing in Bitcoin is better than altcoins.

The way people express their response on this matter makes it feels like anyone who is trading is stupid or foolish. And anyone who is buying altcoin does not know anything about cryptocurrency. It's so funny because we all are trying to make something good for ourselves thereby we set financial goals and how to achieve it based on the level of risk we want to take. Did we forget that investment is the risk? and by risk, we get to choose our risk tolerance. So if an investor has chosen to trade rather than hold long he understands that this is the risk he wants to take. He knows the consequences of the action if it doesnt go the way he planned it.

I just want us to understand this, especially for those who think they are always right when they create differnt topic on this. Its a choice. My dear brothers check yourself do the one way you fit do, if e go worry you leave am. Any risk we wan to take make we take am, na by choice nobody knows to pass for this cryptocurrency of a thing.

Yes I would have said so because I always believe that everyone has what works for them, if you are a trader and regardless of how long you have been trading, if it doesn't work for you then you should probably give up on it and also if you have lost so much on Crypto-currency investment then you either choose a safer method or you leave it completely.
Never be too stubborn when it has to do with your finances, be willing to learn but never be ready to lose far more than you can afford.

Maybe I have not come across such post discriminating Bitcoin trading instead of Bitcoin investment also as discriminating Altcoins investments instead of Bitcoins.
Rather I have only come across threads that calls for discussions pertaining the risks involved in-between as mentioned and those are discussions intended to alert newbies on the flexibilities and, difficulties surrounding every aspect of our decision making in the crypto market so , we can always build ourselves up with the knowledges ought to enable us achieve our goals without making regrettable decisions as a course of lack of education or Ignorant.

Already we know trading involves technical factors before stepping in to the market if we must aim to make good returns (profits) unlike investment which you only need to have an investment plan such as  accumulating strategies and duration of holding. That seems very friendly compared to trading.
Okay, I recently had a chat with a trading trading friend and I told him about how trading is like gambling but he said to me that such insights are of those who lacks the technical knowledge about how trading works.
He said trading is absolutely far profiting and reliable to gambling when you can locate the positive trading lines. He further talked about how it takes him hours and days to read the trading market movements to foresee better profiting based on timing.
I guess it is not everyone that can confidently make winning of of this but on on investment, it is obvious that such technical factors are not necessary but only requires a mere holding patiently while staying updated to the market news with the aim of selling your Bitcoin at profitable cost.

We also know how the Altcoins has been flooded with Memecoins which obviously are lot of shitcoins which investors can get their funds lost over time also as a course of it highily volatility that can not be compared to the sustainability of Bitcoins volatility.
Although I agree that there are still some good Altcoins to invest on.

I understand your point , yeah being a trader doesn't mean you don't know what you are doing , the reason why folks always emphasize on holding Bitcoin is because is more easier and folks can easily pull it off by following the proper principle.  As a trader you have to be skilled and discipline and understanding how trading works ( like understanding TA of trading) , most folks usually go into trading without having the knowledge on how it works , because they are only in because they think is the fastest way to eradicate poverty, which is funny because with the wrong approach you can also get broke fast through trading.

When it comes to altcoins there are good and bad once at there the painful facts is the bad ones are more common than the good ones, with just a slight mistake you have already position yourself in a bad spot through altcoins holding, that's have to make thorough research before investing in them , but the fact still remains go for what work for you just be careful at there because this space ain't an pretty place you can either get rich or get rekt through this space .

The emphasis on bitcoin hodling investment being better than any other form of cryptocurrency investments or even trading is due to the low risk involved with bitcoin compared to investing in altcoins or when you're trading on any pairs.

It is true that it's a choice to engage in either bitcoin holding, altcoins investment or trading. I have a friend who’s a trader and also involved in shitcoins trading, and I asked him why can’t he just buy Bitcoin and HODL and he told me that sounded too boring for him lol, and that he preferred to simply just stick to trading because he also get to learn a lot from doing so even when he tends to lose sometimes.

Understand that investing in Bitcoin is less riskier and it even got several features or would I say strategies that would help an investor manage volatility, moreover once someone have channeled their attention to investing on Bitcoin then you must have patience else, what's Bitcoin investment without patience? Since it involves long-term then patience among others like discipline and consistency is highly important.
 Someone that's not patient concerning crypto investment should channel their attention to trading shitcoins and alts cause they have short-term goals but then the person should be prepared for the risk that follows suit and risk only what they can afford to lose. Yes people are making money through it but the risk factor is much higher compared to the latter.
 For instance, people benefit from highway robbery and other crimes like fraud and the rest but the risk in them is very high cause if caught the culprits would be put behind bars and for a long period sometimes.
