Not a bad assumption--and I could've said that 10 years ago, because it was just as true then.
If you are indeed a new member and not some alt account, take heed to what others have written here and figure out the right way(s) to use the trust system and also how valuable freedom of speech is here. That comment xmrhopium made was on the money as far as I'm concerned, and if you're going to whine this much over what somebody says perhaps this isn't the forum for you (because members here can be quite prickly).
