True. Per example my grandparents used to buy Lotto tickets for almost 20 years and they barely won 5-6 times in all those years. However , feels to good to read massive wins like this but like you said above , I'm sure the players had dozens and dozens of lost tickets until he catches this one. I also think that 10$ on lotto is enormous as most of the times the bettor is doing multiple tickets with multiple numbers.

That's a really big crazy luck there, absolutely wow, 😂 I myself being someone who loves to bet on parleys with high odds totally understand what it takes to end up with this type of win, this is actually a one in a life time kind of win where if you are lucky enough to be the winner, then it's worth throwing a big party in celebration because there is the chances the person may never experience this type of winning again.

Trying out to realize about on the winning odds that lottery does have or on whats the chance to hit up those jackpot on which even your life span wont really be giving out that  guarantees that you can be able to hit it up. For sure I think a lot of people would have cashed out much earlier but the fact that he stayed in to win it all is surely a remarkable feat for this man. it turns out that he roughly won a multi-bet with a coefficient of 40,000. For 17 outcomes (as I understood from the first post, that was exactly how many outcomes were in his multi-bet) the average coefficient to get such a multiplier should be 2.14. In fact, it looks quite realistic, at least subjectively it looks more realistic than guessing several outcomes with a coefficient of 10 or higher.
The only thing that confuses me in this story is that bookmakers limit the maximum odds and 40,000 is definitely above the upper limit.

I agree. My first initial thought was to check for a source; I was surprised to find a link, which also had an annoying URL shortener, to a post on Twitter/X.com, which literally shows nothing. There's no proof it actually happened, and to be honest, I do find it hard to believe that A) someone managed to accurately predict more than 10 basketball matches and B) even if the previous statement is true, that the $10 bet turned into approximately $500,000.

I don't know, but it doesn't add up. On top of that, the casino could easily provide accurate proof to convince the public but didn't. So I'm sorry, but I doubt the validity of this story.
