I don't know but for me this is not even debatable, and if there are someone who are in the green as far as their gambling activity, then they could be that 1%. This should only a serious conversation in the case OP or someone he knows is considering to become the house and open their own casino, otherwise this would be a thread about non-existent ways for someone who is a gambler to try to defeat the house in their own territory which statistically difficult in the long term, because of the edge they have gotten in place.

The moment people think about getting involved in gambling to pay bills, they are finished. They will destroy their entire future, they will sell their assets, they will lose family and friends, they will have a lot of debt and in the end they will have an addiction which is a disease that torments the person for many years, something very difficult to cure. Information is power, and the more we all understand this and also are careful about the information we pass across, especially in the gambling space, there will be fewer individuals who are gambling addicts. It would be better too if we can treat it less. But yeah, not more because it's already risky by default. We have different definitions of fun.
