I spent today taking a closer look at GitHub again. My LuckMiner LV08 is currently running v2.11.0. I'll test it for a few days and see if any errors occur.

If anyone wants to test it anyway, they do so at their own risk.

can i use the ota updates to go from mrbonkerz 2.10 version to your 2.11 version or should i flash the factory image?

I was running mrbonkerz v2.10.0-1.9.0, and i simply updated it via OTA. First esp-miner.bin, then www.bin.

Now mrbonkerz also has version v2.11.0.

mrbonkerz version has issues:

Notes:
Known Issue: Device shows "authentication expired" on screen (or cannot connect to Wi-Fi) after update and hard reboot
Workaround 1: Re-enter SSID and password before performing a hard reboot.
Workaround 2: Perform factory reflash to clear NVM
Known Issue: High ASIC Temperature 2 warning on main page
Workaround 1: Lower the Core Voltage/Frequency under Settings
Workaround 2: Increase Fan Speed
Known Issue: Power Fault status under swarm
Workaround: Ignore
The initial firmware flash was performed via a web browser, resulting in a system crash. Functionality was restored only after disassembling the device and directly flashing the firmware using an ESP32 microcontroller.

The fan is indeed running faster and louder than in version 2.10, and I'm currently considering downgrading to version 2.10.

Just purchased a used/nearly new they said LV08 and can only get it hashing at around 900ghs.

Tried flashing from the original firmware to esp miner and get the same results, here are what the logs say. Looks to be a power issue? Only pulling around 30w while hashing also and doesn't really move from that.

Any help appreciated before I return this thing.

I think this is more of a hardware issue rather than clock settings etc as these are set to defaults and I get the same results with both the original firmware and the latest Bitaxe FW of around 900ghs total.

I've done a lot of electrical fault finding over the weekend and all of the voltages are correct and reaching where they should be, the only thing left now is faulty asic chips themselves.

What is the best way of finding the offending chips within the chain using the test points on the board?

I'm going to try reflow all and see if it makes a difference but it would be nice to be able to narrow this down if possible.

Thanks

It seems that the voltages on both of your units are abnormal.

Based on my experience, this could be caused by an issue with the screws between the heatsink and the chip.

You can try checking the chip status at
http://192.168.0.XXX/#/test

to confirm whether the problem comes from the chip itself.

A normal LV08 should detect 9 chips.
If the number detected is not 9, then it’s very likely that the chip is faulty.

I used a translation tool for this message.
I am a user from Taiwan.

Thank you.

I've not had great results with the Bitaxe firmware for the LV08, seems to use more power than the original firmware and the hashrate seems less stable.

I just got another LV08 which seemed very stable around 4.5th to 6th constant, firmware was a newer version of 1.1.0.

Anyway I've made a full backup of this version as I couldn't find anywhere on the internet. I've now flashed this to both my LV08 and seem to be getting better results on hash and less power usage. Using 550/1250

For anyone who may want it. Flash at 0x0.

Version:   1.1.0

Hi, semi newbie here. I have a Lucky Miner LV08 that I picked up and it still has the default factory firmware v1.0. I want to upgrade it to the latest. I have downloaded the following files:

esp-miner-factory-lv08-v2.12.2-2.1.1.bin
esp-miner.bin
www.bin

I plan to use ESPTOOL.

My question is what is the offset addresses for these files and is there an order to flash them, or can I add all three and flash them in one step?

Thank you, I appreciate everyone's efforts in this forum.
