I was introduced recently to this forum and I must say, it's an incredible place to learn about Bitcoin. I have learned a lot these past few days. If I had joined this group earlier maybe I would have gotten some Bitcoins to my name.
Please, what do you advise I do?. Thank you as I read your responses

It is, since I know this forum I learn a lot.

First of all, bitcoin is high right now in my opinion tho in the long run it could go double but if you want to try to invest in Bitcoin don't go all in at the moment you could try buy as low as 10 USD to try it out and how it feels if you hold it for couple of weeks, I mean are you suitable for the volatility of the crypto or not.

Second when you don't go all in there is still money in the bank you could consider flexible saving in your bank account and continue DCA in the bitcoin. Remember don't go with the meme coin or some shitcoin that all over the internet that can double your money in one night because all of those is kind of gamble imo

You can do other than BTC, but choose one that has a good reputation and has been around for a long time and is in cmc with large capitalization so it's not like new coins that only work to take personal advantage and once everything is done they pull out and sleep soundly.

The method is good and of course it must be felt otherwise OP will not know how difficult it is to get profit from investing in this crypto currency and it is not as easy as turning the palm of your hand.

I suggest you learn more basics about Bitcoin and watch videos on this channel ----> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJWCJCWOxBYSi5DhCieLOLQ. If you don't need that money, investing 12% to 40% in Bitcoin for 12 years might be a good idea and give you an excellent return.
[/quote] Thank you for the video. The video is indeed the greatest Bitcoin explanation I have ever seen. Information well detailed.
My investment plan is a long term plan and I believe I will
be would be able to invest the above percentage and leave it for that period of time
I intend investing during the bear market, when the price has fallen because right now it's high. Will keep myself updated while here.

Finding the right timing to enter the market is quite difficult. If the bear market comes, are you sure your believe in Bitcoin won't waver too? I'm not saying you should fomo and buy right now, but it would wise to have a DCA plan if you want to invest for long-term. While the profits you gain from DCA won't be as big as when you buy at the bottom, it can save some headache IMO. As always, DWYOR.

So I am new here. I would like to get some financial advice from you all regarding investing in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that I have been hearing so much about but still having cold feet to invest in it. I have some funds fixed  in my commercial bank for almost 3 years now that will be due soon. For the past three years, the interest gotten from that fixed money is not much to call that a wise investment decision so I'm thinking of investing in Bitcoin. 12 percent per annum is not that okay for me, just left it there to avoid spending it. Even though, I will just invest a little from that amount to see how it will turn out.

First things first, you should not ask for financial advice on the internet.
Meet some professional financial advisors in real life who know about Bitcoin.
No one is going to take any liabilities if you make a loss out of your investment.
It should depend on you. Do not rush to invest. Learn how Bitcoin behaves.
Check how it fluctuated in the past years. Keep in mind that it can happen again.
Holding Bitcoin is not a smooth ride. You will be tempted to sell, but you should have control over yourself.
Make sure you are ok with all of it. Not everyone makes money from Bitcoin.

DCA is always the best strategy with no hassle, but if the OP is looking for a strategy different from it, then he should wait until the market corrects, as that could happen maybe this year or next year. However, I just hope he won't regret his decision in case it turns out that the market stays bullish for years, but based on its historical trend, it doesn't move like that, so it's still nice to wait for the bear market.

It's great to hear that you're exploring Bitcoin and learning more about it! Investing in cryptocurrency can be a bit daunting, especially when you’re just a newbie, but the truth is that it can also offer opportunities for growth. There are some very important points to consider as you think about investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, because it can be very volatile. Prices can fluctuate significantly within a short period, so it is very essential to be prepared for the possibility of losing some or all of your investment in the process. So, since you're considering investing a little to test the waters, then I think it is a good approach. Put into bitcoin what you will not cry if it gets lost. This way, if the market doesn't go in your favor, it won't have a devastating impact on your finances.
One very important factor to note is that you need to continue learning about Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. Understand how it works, technologies like blockchain, and the factors that can influence its price.
The cryptocurrency market is constantly evolving. So, staying updated on news and market trends that could affect Bitcoin's price.

Ultimately, the decision to invest in Bitcoin should align with your financial goals and risk tolerance. If you're still feeling uncertain, it might be helpful to consult with a financial advisor who understands cryptocurrency.

The problem with waiting for the market to drop as low as possible is hard to spot. Because if ever Bitcoin drops already and this bull run is done, our minds will tell us that there's gotta be more with these drops. And that's another problem for OP and other potential investors to face because they think it's right and they need to wait more until they'll have hard time finding another good spot for buying. But if they follow the pattern, pretty much likely that 2026 is going to be it but we don't know, the market changes and it's always been unpredictable.

A good advice. But with the crazy expected have for the market, 2026 could be bloody and it could also be super green, you never can tell. I am seeing crazy moves in the future and possibly such moves could affect the anticipated 2026 bear market.

In a few years, 12% per annum will barely keep up with inflation. However, it depends on your time frame and tolerance. If your mindset is 4+ years and you can stomach the volatility, I'd pick Bitcoin over anything else, any day of the week.

Bitcoin investment or fixed deposit. This actually an interesting point of decision making
So basically Bitcoin investment is a good and best option for one who is ready to take on a bigger risk
Bitcoin investment should be done when you aware that the money for the investment can be left for over a period of time if that be the case Bitcoin investment is the best option in that case
On the other hand fixed deposit has a guarantee interest rate at the end of the investment period it's advisable to invest in the fixed deposit when dealing with money that can not be taken more risk with
The both investments are fine but when making a decision like this do based on how much risk you can be ready to take with money just so you will be on the safe side

But if he could just watch how the market move in each situation then provably that they would notice how complex those thing they want like waiting for dips to act. We see Bitcoin reached at $93k - $93k but easily recover at current price level which is at $98k+ at the moment.

So with that movements we can figure out that its hard to speculate on potential dips and if they keep waiting then provably that they would miss a lot of thing with Bitcoin. That's why instead of waiting for dips better buy Bitcoin now and just plan their next action since I think this is more better option to do.

You're right not just investing the whole of the money into bitcoin probably when the value start dropping, at this point you start panicking so just do it in such a way that is not going to affect you. However, is obvious that bitcoin investment is highly recommended than any other investment, But that doesn't give a guarantee that we should invest randomly, always think twice before investing.

It is very good for you to learn here, because you can learn many things in this forum, especially related to Bitcoin, and it feels right because I see there are so many experts here who might be ready to discuss and share with each other. Regarding the investment you want in Bitcoin, I think it is very right, and even for now it is still not too late, because we know that over time Bitcoin will increase in value, both because of the many people, institutions, even countries that have and will adopt Bitcoin, and the main factor that I highlight the most is its scarcity. So, it is better for you to use your funds to invest in Bitcoin, but you should still save some for emergency needs.

First of all welcome to this forum it is great that you are learning about Bitcoin and thinking about investing. Before you invest make sure you learn more about how Bitcoin works and what is happening in market and risks of investing in cryptocurrencies. To be safe decide how much money you can afford to lose and do not spend more than that. Also think about spreading your money across different types of investments. Plan to keep your investment for at least 6 12 months and start with small amount to get some experience and feel more confident. And I will recommend DCA strategy which will be very helpful for you. And DCA is Dollar Cost Averaging means you fix a period and after that you invest an amount without caring about the price.

You are in the right place mate, I will advice you try out Bitcoin investment atleast the interest rate per anum will be greater than that of your local bank which is %12. Bitcoin has been doing pretty well ever since or right from the oncept. You can be investing as little as you can and HODL for a longer time frame and trust me, you will later smile. All you just need is to download an electron wallet where you can be storing Bitcoin and also a Bitcoin exchange app that you will be buying Bitcoin and be sending to your wallet. I know it will sound so strange to you but I will advice you spend a little time here to learn more about Bitcoin and it's Operation so that you will learn the risk and security measures to be on a safer side when investing.

First things first, you should not ask for financial advice on the internet.
Meet some professional financial advisors in real life who know about Bitcoin.
What if he wants privacy? Some people only bought bitcoin on low-key and avoid people in their environment to know about it because of the possible physical attack that it can cause.

There is nothing bad about online advice. I do not think there is anything good that the advisors can tell him than to DCA little amount at this time and wait for the bear market to invest more.

The problem with ROI in fixed deposit accounts is not only that the interest is low, but how high inflation has risen and affected the currency you are hodling in your bank account, if you do the math, you might be in deficit rather than profit. Bitcoin is a great choice, but it is up to you to decide if you want to buy bitcoin or not.

That said, for a newbie it might be better to buy bitcoin through dca and not in one lump sum, that way you could mitigate volatility risks and not panic in every correction that happens.

Invest in yourself first before you invest into bitcoin, that’s the safest advice I can give. Educate yourself how bitcoin works in the market, how to acquire and protect your bitcoin, and how to increase your profit potentials with bitcoin. That way, you will be aware first of its risks and rewards before you finally put your funds to buy and hold. Bitcoin is a valuable asset, just learn how to apply risk management on it.

I was introduced recently to this forum and I must say, it's an incredible place to learn about Bitcoin. I have learned a lot these past few days. If I had joined this group earlier maybe I would have gotten some Bitcoins to my name.
Please, what do you advise I do?. Thank you as I read your responses
First of all, you are welcome to the forum as you have said this a good place to learn about bitcoin investment and lot more so you need to be active in the forum. Now about the money you invested in fiat to me I think it will be best if you invest it in bitcoin as fiat can not stand against inflation but bitcoin can. So if you don't want to go in at once is OK, you can start with the dca strategy and focus on continous accumulation until you have enough bitcoin in your portfolio. So savings your money in fiat it value will definitely depreciate as a result of inflation however bitcoin can act as a hedge against inflation.
