New S21+ 235T, can't get them to hash

I recently bought a few S21+ to go with my existing S21 PROs.

However, for the life of me I cannot get them to start hashing.

The Dashboard is all blank. The settings are aimed at my Pool and it even shows up using IP Name. The fans are on full speed (very loud), no Fault or Normal light on...

I've done soft and hard reset.

Any ideas?

If you can't do that, reflash the firmware.

The logs seem normal; the only weird part that I notice is that it keeps ending on "start to check network" and "kill all hashboard".

Do you have stable internet?
My guess is maybe the pool you were trying to connect to is blocked by your ISP or has a slow server.

Try what philipma1957 suggested above: switch to viabtc pool or try solo pool for testing purposes here: https://solo.ckpool.org/

You mean about the blank dashboard is that it's totally blank, white screen, no text, and no CSS design?
That's the browser issue. Brave browser blocks some script, which is why it turns out blank. Try using another browser like Chrome or Firefox.

I have been using Slush since 2018... with S9s, S17s, and now S21s... I've never had a problem setting up new miners. I set up my S21 Pros about 2 months ago using Slush, and that worked without any issues.

Why would the S21+ units not work with it?

Do I need to switch pools?

use both pools and check back and forth to see if slush fixes it.  also I think slush has a thread on the pool section so let them know.

i have used slush but prefer viabtc.

I dig into their guides, and it seems that they have stratum v1 and v2. Would you mind sharing with us the slushpool stratum link that you use? Maybe the slushpool link you use is currently not supported based on their guide below the stratum v2 doesn't support bitmain stock firmware. So possible, that is the reason why it doesn't work.

I do not think that there is anything left of Slush, it became Braiins everything (pool and firmware), so the problem is indeed with Braiins' pool, i would be very surprised if this happened to OP while using the stock firmware, that would be a huge fuckery by Braiins.

I recently bought a few S21+ to go with my existing S21 PROs.

However, for the life of me I cannot get them to start hashing.

The Dashboard is all blank. The settings are aimed at my Pool and it even shows up using IP Name. The fans are on full speed (very loud), no Fault or Normal light on...

I've done soft and hard reset.

Any ideas?

I contacted the support team of Braiins.They are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. They will contact me once it is fixed.
I recommend you to also write them a message, just to raise the pressure a bit. They also might offer you to contact you once it is fixed. Up until then, their advice is "use another pool"

Whats the reason for kill all hashboard? Can you post the rest of the log?


Regarding Braiins and the connection issues, there seems to be a fix. At the moment they deployed it to the ca server. For now, it works. I am waiting for a response for when it will be fixed on all servers.

Why not share the logs first we can maybe find some other hints why it cause "kill all hashboard" make sure to post the whole logs here.

Try to flash the unit first with the latest firmware from Bitmain if the issue still the same try to switch to other firmware like Braiins or Awesomeminer firmware then monitor the unit if it works normally and don't forget to check the logs.

That's all there is in the history log.
As you can see, the chip check on the hashboards succeeds, but then the "kill all hashboard" entry appears. At first the miner starts hashing, but then, apparently after this "kill all hashboard" entry, the hashrate, uptime, etc. fields just go blank. And no errors are displayed.

And as i said before im using ViaBTC, not Braiins. So its definitely not the pool problem.

That's all there is in the history log.
As you can see, the chip check on the hashboards succeeds, but then the "kill all hashboard" entry appears. At first the miner starts hashing, but then, apparently after this "kill all hashboard" entry, the hashrate, uptime, etc. fields just go blank. And no errors are displayed.

And as i said before im using ViaBTC, not Braiins. So its definitely not the pool problem.

An what firmware are you using on viabtc.com ?
