We just had a look at SoftSwiss gambling reports on crypto gambling and the most common cryptocurrencies used for online gambling with crypto.

We are a bit surprised about the list below. We are not surprised to see BTC in the lead; it's the king of gambling Smiley and the king of everything else as well, hehe. However we were pretty sure we would find Tron or at least Solana in the top 5. I mean, Litecoin has been a very popular currency for gambling in the past, but who bet with it nowadays?

What do you guys think about the list? I mean, SoftSwiss is a very trustworthy source, since they have data from a large number of casinos, but isn't it a bit weird?

Most Popular Cryptocurrencies in iGaming

Bitcoin (73.3%)
Ethereum (9.9%)
Litecoin (6.6%)
Tether (4.6%)
Dogecoin (3.1%)

If you check from the start until now, I wouldn't have much to doubt about Bitcoin making the leaderboard of this very statistical data report by SoftSwiss, we've forgotten how Bitcoin were used when this casino started using or adopting the use cryptos, Bitcoin was indeed the main coin most gamblers admired to use for transactions and placing of bets then to enable earn more Bitcoin  because then wasn't as valuable as it is today, Now because Bitcoin has increased tremendously in price that people now doubt that Bitcoin were/are widely use by many gamblers in this casino platforms, and due to its transaction fees and high value.

But USDT and USDC is something i used to see on the casino sites i'm using. But if this is a survey with an updated data source then yes, the statistics shouldn't be doubted, but the record just like you for i'm inclined with the use of Litecoin as the top 3.
USDC and USDT: USDT is what I even see that people do use once in a while to fund their casino balance, unlike USDC. If there is any among the two that could have made it to the least, it will definitely be USDT, but the Tron network is not trying, which I believe is among the reasons why some people have shifted into using other coins, as shown on that data, if it's accurate.

I didn't expect it to be something else Haha.

It's bitcoin of course is the major cryptocurrency to be used in gambling and also online gambling platforms already existed in the past, and only few options to add only like BTC. Majority of gamblers today are using BTC because it dominates it and it's the most trusted and liquid crypto. Casinos want a coin with high market value, deep liquidity, and stability, BTC has all that. Also, gamblers generally prefer reliability over transaction speed. Even though there are faster chains available (such as Solana or Tron), the security and acceptance of BTC make it the preferred option.

There's just nothing to worry about the this list. The point is that gamblers betting on the crypto casinos are found convenient to gamble with the crypto currency that is less volatile do that when funded their gambling wallets, the probability of their funds devaluing wouldn't be so high when considers their volume of fluctuating performances.
Obviously bitcoin is that one trusted coin to hold on to and not just about it market dominance which we all know that it's followed by Ethereum and as listed above except for Tether that's a stable coin. Although Tether would had been at the top but because of it stability, crypto users hasn't been convenient to store their funds there because it's like to be like still storing your funds in the fiat while the deferent remaining the decentralization
So, I'd personally adopt the list.

Bitcoin on top makes sense but I expected Tron or Solana. Litecoin is surprising but its low fees and fast transactions might still attract gamblers. Tether is useful for avoiding price changes.

I can understand Bitcoin is the most heavily gambled-with crypto but I was thinking that USDT (across all of its networks) would have a much larger share of the pie, at least 10%. It seems that everywhere I'm looking there are plenty of bets made with USDT.

[Although me being a general Tether hater means I don't care much about this, good riddance  Cool]
