1. Even if Satoshi becomes known, it won't turn Bitcoin into a centralized system.
This is not the first time this statement has been made and we have discussed on it before. Guy it will affect bitcoin badly because the government will not allow him to keep bitcoin on that decentralized note. And they will fight him directly and indirectly. Politics will play major rules in bitcoin because those who don't what Elon Musk to pass them in wealth will pressure the government to disorganized bitcoin so those who have invested will lost. I don't think if Satoshi Nakamoto identity is known, bitcoin will still remains the same. Things will definitely change. even if he's forced He can't do anything except there's a consensus. Except you are saying that satoshi has a key to switch decentralization and centralization on or off. Well this is my personal POV. Definitely could be wrong Sticking with this until proven otherwise. Satoshi Nakamoto alone can't fight the cohesive forces in the world. And you can confirm that from this forum. When the government put pressure to ban MIXERS, they did it and mixers now are not in the forum anymore and if the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is found the pressure will be much more than the previous. They will use all the forces combined. And from my own view, Satoshi Nakamoto will never and ever come to identify himself but there are many fake Satoshi Nakamoto in the world. The government can't use money to lure him to come. Because he has the money.

Some legendary members expect everyone to be at high level with them. It is fine for them to understand most newbies were completely ignorant of bitcoin before they located this forum. So, we shouldn't expect them to be at same level of established members. Most times we are lucky to have enlightened newbies and we always see the difference.
That's right, I've noticed since I joined the forum, newbies are often the object of criticism by high-ranking user, this shouldn't be allowed considering this forum was created for discussion purposes, not as a gathering of experts. We should be happy that there are newcomers who are so interested in Bitcoin & are even willing to take the time to write what's on their minds. I ask myself the same thing and still haven't been able to figure out the purpose of the thread. The title is about the anonymity of Satoshi being Bitcoin greatest asset which I think is silly but the body of the post actually do not match with the title of the post. Post like this has no value to the poster or we the readers and it won't get you merit OP.
Read it again carefully, you will definitely get the point that @OP wants to convey. That is the correlation between Satoshi's anonymity and Bitcoin, in essence, when Satoshi's true identity is revealed, Bitcoin community will become weak because we see Satoshi no longer as a nebulous entity, but a figure who could be close to the field of centralization.

Keeping Satoshi's identity a secret helps Bitcoin stay decentralized. Cause If we all knew who Satoshi was, it could change how people see Bitcoin and make it seem less like a community project. They might also face a lot of pressure from governments, which could put Bitcoin at risk. By focusing on the community and the technology, Bitcoin has been able to grow without being tied to one person

Satoshi Nakamoto's anonymity have been Bitcoin's greatest strength and wether it was an intentional move or not, I believe the creator(s) already understands the inexplicable importance of such decision and already knows the extent of failure( damage) the coin will suffer if he decides to unveil himself. With these points of mine, I hope I've succeeded to convince you why Satoshi Nakamoto is very likely to remain anonymous till the end of time.
I don't know whether Satoshi is dead or he intentionally disappeared. The first version seems to be the most logical explanation to his anonymous identity but in the second case, I am sure that it's impossible for an alive person to remain anonymous for such a long time, especially after such a huge success but his disappearance is what makes Bitcoin the number one currency to my mind. His disappearance makes Bitcoin truly decentralized currency and also the massive adoption of Bitcoin worldwide, strengthens its decentralized value further. Anyways, I think we all thank Satoshi for giving us Bitcoin and for ensuring the anonymity of his identity. OP, your stated beneficial factors are well-written.

It is possible because your privacy and anonymity is safe or not safe, all starts with your beginning, not with what you do in the middle or the end of your journey. The communities, Bitcoin communities and non-Bitcoin communities, have failed to find true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto because the founder hid his identity very carefully when he started. I believe that identity of Satoshi Nakamoto will never be known if he won't reappear and announce it, of course with valid evidence. Satoshi was a Tor user.Satoshi might be mentally derranged.I'll probably release Satoshi's PMs and logged IPs addresses in ~8 years. This'd probably be of great historical interest. (Though he always used Tor, as far as I can tell.)

The anonymity of Bitcoin is indeed considered a strength by many because it embodies and possess a decentralized nature to a underdeveloped and undeserved people worldwide. With this decentralization in progress, the cryptospace is thoroughly regulated and edified for safety and I think that's the place where the Bitcoin's strength emerged from. The anonymity of Bitcoin have significantly contributed to Bitcoin's growth and success all along, leading it to shape the financial future and beyond.

It’s the network that’s actually decentralized, Satoshi can suddenly wake up and turn it to a centralized system the network was built that way. But one thing satoshi hidden identity has been able to do is actually safeguard the price impact of bitcoin and possibly the manipulations accustomed with his actions. Take for instance the Altcoins which we have today, the action of their founders are usually what impacts the market or price action of the market. Imagine having Satoshi in a similar situation that CZ was found if his identity was actually revealed, it wouldn’t affect the decentralization nature of bitcoin but this blackish will affect the price because it will cause FUD around the market

A decentralized project and a decentralized blockchain network can not be shutdown, halt or manipulated by a single developer and person. Only Bitcoin is a project that has true decentralization in cryptocurrency industry. Other projects (altcoins) are centralized, and it's not strange if you see an altcoin blockchain is halted by the founder. It happened with Binance Smart Chain, Harmony chain, Solana chain, and with a biggest altcoin Ethereum, the founder and core team members were able to rollback ETH blockchain after the DAO hack. BNB chain halts after $100M exploitation.Binance Hacked for $40M, CEO Backpedals on Recoup Via Block Reorganization. CZ proposed it but he failed to get support from Bitcoiners and he had no power to execute the rollback.

In the past, a lot of research has been done on the identity of the father of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, and even some people were suspiciously claimed that one of them was Satoshi Nakamoto. However, all those doubts were proven wrong. Satoshi Nakamoto is the inventor of Bitcoin. After the invention of Bitcoin in 2009, his existence was not found. He may have died or remained anonymous. However, I do not think that his existence is a threat to Bitcoin. But if we review it personally, then it is certainly not safe for him. Because in the current political situation, if he returns, he will have to be accused of various charges. His personal security would be greatly compromised, which is why I think his anonymity is certainly good initiative for his security.

The curiosity to know the real identity behind the innovation of Bitcoin I think is one of the major reasons that most influential and powerful people across the global community are interested in Bitcoin which have also added value to Bitcoin. It's like a mystery that must be uncovered by these powerful and influential beings but unfortunately for them, it's almost impossible for them to finally get to know the real identity of Satoshi. If Satoshi Nakamoto didn't go anonymous after launching Bitcoin, I'm sure these very influential people would've found a way to engage him so they can always manipulate the Bitcoin market. Satoshi's anonymity is and will continue to be the greatest strength of Bitcoin.

1.Thinking that Bitcoin will suddenly become centralized just because Satoshi's identity was revealed is just plain stupid. Bitcoin will remain as it is, even if Satoshi's identity was revealed.
2.The idea of Satoshi becoming a target by governments seems weird to me. Did Satoshi commit a crime or something? Creating a decentralized cryptocurrency isn't a crime.
3."Cult of personality"? Did Vitalik Buterin turn into some kind of guru for the Ethereum community? Nope. I don't think that there's a "cult of personality" about Satoshi Nakamoto in the Bitcoin community.
4.The governments could attack Bitcoin regardless of Satoshi Nakamoto's identity being revealed or not. This doesn't seem like a serious argument to me.
5.Maybe you are right about "mystery" element around Satoshi, but I don't care that much about the mysteries and legends surrounding Bitcoin and it's creator.

^ Yeah, it's strange to think that Satoshi = BTC and what would happen to it. Or that Satoshi would become a messiah of sorts.
Nothing would happen, except Satoshi being watched from every corner to be asked something related to BTC or crypto in general. Or else.

The only thing on what concerns me is about if Satoshi is known then pretty sure that government will definitely be trying out to approach Satoshi and be that trying to ask out if ever some possible tweaks and modifications that it can do with Bitcoin or even having that possibility that he might be that assasinated on which it could be that starting that downfall of Bitcoin because of what happened? No one really knows after than but pretty much sure that it would really be that a negative thing on which it will really be bringing out that huge impact into the market if this one happens. This is why it is really just that much more better that satoshi have decided to remain anonymous and kept hidden. We dont even know whether he's alive or we dont even know if this one is a group of people or an individual. Lets just be thankful on what it do currently have on which Satoshi is really that still remains a mystery and its better to be that on that way. Its not shocking that they will really be that trying to solve out the mystery but it will be that much more better for the entire Bitcoin community to be on this way or lets just say that those things been mentioned above on OP are definitely accurate when it comes to strengths of BTC.

They tried and they failed so far. After 16 years, I believe that there is no chance for governments and community to find Satoshi Nakamoto, or just find Satoshi Nakamoto identity. Gavin will visit the CIA. They hired and paid Gavin Andresen but if they did not know who is or who are Satoshi Nakamoto after that deal, there is no great chance left for them. If Gavin Andresen doesn't know identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, very few or no other people who can know it. There are Cypherpunks who had discussions and even worked with Satoshi Nakamoto online, but they all don't know Satoshi Nakamoto identity.

Yes, the anonymity of Satoshi is very instrumental to the progress of Bitcoin, the community driven approach to propagation of Bitcoin would've been one-sided since attention would've been centered on him and decentralization wouldn't have been very possible.
Furthermore it would've been a very big threat to his security if he was visible and has that much bitcoins in his disposal, a lot of criminals would've been aiming to kidnap him and have a fair share at his holdings.
It was a good idea to stay anonymous, so the focus remains on the project and not on it's creator.

I wonder what name his kids use at school when the subject of kids dads comes up (maybe parents/teachers meetings). Surely the Nakamoto children don't use Satoshi? Maybe Sam, or Steve, possibly Sheldon?
Since the name covers up the group which is believe to be behind Bitcoin development, it’s not an official name that children needs to answer in school like their surname, and beside someone who is determined to hide their identity even their children won’t be spare with such information they won’t have access to that and won’t even know if their parent are the creator or is the creator of Bitcoin, if Satoshi was a real name it could have been possible to try to link to to everyone who bare that name.

Is it so hard to leave the guy alone, for god's sake? Why are so many people so concerned about where Satoshi is and why is he anonymous? The guy made you something wonderful, just use the system, make transactions or make money or whatever, and enjoy your life, leave the guy alone and let him do whatever he wants to do if he is alive, and if he's not, at least let his soul rest in peace. He made the system decentralized and free, it's not like you need him for anything.
When someone decides to stay private or anonymous, we should respect that if it was done by choice. What's the point of trying to invade someone's privacy or to reveal their identity when they did it on purpose? Those who can't eat, sleep, or live without using satoshi's name to get attention should get a life.

I share the same thought with you on this. Bitcoin is not decentralized simply because Satoshi's identity is anonymous. Whether Satoshi comes out from hiding or not, bitcoin has already been designed to be decentralized, therefore nothing will change about it. 2.The idea of Satoshi becoming a target by governments seems weird to me. Did Satoshi commit a crime or something? Creating a decentralized cryptocurrency isn't a crime.
As at the time Bitcoin was created, the government saw it as a threat. They claimed mining bitcoins consume lots of energy, bitcoin is a currency for criminals and many other claims. Governments banned bitcoin in their countries, i can only imagine what would have happened to the creator of such a threat if they actually knew him then. Glad governments are beginning to realise they've been wrong all along.

This is what I've been trying to preach for years. This was all planned out from day 1, I know this for a fact. I wont say how, but I do. Satoshi knew that having a "central figure head" behind bitcoin would ruin it. This is one of the main reasons bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency coin and likely always will be. It was ESSENTIAL to it becoming what it has today and one of the reason why say my bud Charlie Lee sold his LTC off as he knew the importance of not having so much "skin in the game".

Bitcoin creation was not a coincidence, it was a well thought out project. Before the first code of bitcoin was everly written, Satoshi had planned his anonymity and that is why he hasn't been revealed till now. Assuming he remembered the privacy when he must have been some miles into the bitcoin journey, it would have been difficult for him to seal his path of identity. And that decision of his to remain anonymous is the strongest advantage of bitcoin.
