Even though I like both, sports betting will always be higher than slots as I like to follow and watch competitive sports, and having some money on the line makes the viewing experience slightly better.

I still enjoy slots whenever I have some extra balance or free spins waiting to be redeemed, but I only find slot games entertaining up to a certain point because they're still a casino game and most of them depend a lot on luck to keep your session going.

Dunno how come people enjoy slots. Its a time killer, nothing else. Why are you comparing individual slot games with sports betting, a fair comparison should be each slot game overall with a sport, and casino games with a sportsbook. Some sports have zero traction when it comes to gambling, see athletics for example, even the Olympics itself despite being a world event has almost no gambling activity, all the winter sports barely make a few million in bets despite being watched by millions.

Also, there is another key difference with popularity, you can watch sports without betting, good luck doing that with any casino games, so even if we all go broke sports will still be around, casino no so much.

What is more simple, to select a team who will win, or make a decision how many lines should you play in slots, and understanding why you have earned $0.17 from 7 cherry symbols, and two WIN symbols havent started extra spin, or why 9 melon symbols did not count and give anything (random example) ? Overall, I love gambling, both sports, slots and casino games but the question is which  do I often bet on, I am more regular on casino games and sports betting. I think slots and sports betting have completely different audiences and it seems strange to me to compare these two types of gambling. Betting is mainly a long-term activity, and slots are "pressed the button -> got the result". If in betting players spend hours on analysis, and then wait for the result (sometimes several days), then in slots the player hits the button like a zombie for several hours, receiving the result instantly.
