In crypto, there are a lot of things you can do to make money. You should be the one to choose which one you can be able to take the risk in, and then you venture into that thing. Just the way you said it, trading is not for everybody, and the same as investment, many people cannot invest in bitcoin because not everyone can leave their money for a long time, while some of those people can learn trading and make money from trading, and also some people can’t take the risk in trading, so they will choose to invest in rather.
The two are just choices, it is either investment or trading; it all depends on your own decision; those who choose to trade for an income see it as the best option that will benefit them, just as those who choose to invest for a living do. Furthermore, you are correct that many people lack the patience to watch their money for a long time; instead, they prefer trading because they want quick money to solve any problems they are experiencing at the time.
In my point of view, trading or investing is not bad because the risk is involved in anything you do, but trading can be very dangerous. There's one of my coursemates, and his men used to play with him because he's into trading; whenever they see him, they'll be like, "Signal never comes." It seems that you must be alerted by your mentors that this is the perfect moment when to buy, but investment does not have such a thing; once you have the money, you're free to invest, but not until you see any kind of sign.
