Does anyone have a reliable source for buying Bitmain's BM1370 ASIC?

It could be the BM1370BC or the BM1370AA.

I know that d-central is selling them, but they are expensive and outside Europe. Some offers are on Aliexpress, but they are not cheap and at least one seller I found had negative feedback regarding the authenticity of the chip.

I've used NBTC Store on Aliexpress for spares BM1397 BM1362 and BM1368 generally they've been good, but they don't seem to be listing the BM1370 ASICs at present.

I've also bought from "BOM List" in the past, but they were somewhat less reliable on shipping and it took forever for the parts to arrive. They have the BM1370PA in stock by the look of it but ouch on the price.

BM1370 spares are in short supply at the moment, I guess thats part of the reason they're so expensive.

Zeus mining is well known and well regarded:
https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=3666

How many are you looking for? Might be worth it to buy a dead / has issues S21Pro / XP and take the good ones off the board.

I would need 3. I'll check zeusbtc, thank you, but this chip seems to be out of stock and they offer to deliver a quote instead of publishing the price. Do you know where they ship from?

China / HK but I have had people get parts from them that came from the US. Not sure if it was a 1 time thing or if they have some stuff there and someone shipping.

They show in stock but you need to get a quote:

They do have a MOQ of 5 so even if they are better priced it still might cost you a bit more because you are getting 5 instead of 3.

When something is not in stock they do (or did) show it as out of stock.

Edit to add: They have the text that it might not be in stock for things that have to get a quote, but I have seen it change so there is someone keeping some sort of track of the amount on hand.

Thank you very much Dave, I'll try to get a quote, although I actually would be happy with two. But I would buy one, just as spare if something goes wrong with one of them. I can share the quote here if anyone is interested.

Zeus das not have any obvious way getting a quote. I've triggered them via whatsapp.

I just had a short chat with ZeusBTC via whatsapp and unfortunately they currently do not have these ASIC's in stock!

Now ZeusBTC replied that they have BM1370AA new ones for $ 54 each.

A S21XP looks to be around $8000
There are 325 chips on it so 8000 / 325 = $24.61

In the electronic competent world
Parts are usually 2 x the cost of the unit so 24.61 x 2 so $49.23

So $54 for a legit part is a bit high but not unreasonable.

edit

They do overcharge a bit to ship to USA. But as you said 54 is not a crazy high price until you add in the shipping cost. which does make it costly

Just wondering what the differenc is between the BM1370 and BM1368

They both seem to be used on the S21 series, not sure if there even in the same package and pinout but still wonder what the delta between them is.

Any ideas?

I think the bm1370 if binned and in the xp can do around 13 watts

and I think the bm1368 does around 17 watts.

my 4 xp miners do 12.5 watts if the room is cold.

I would be happy with the price, but I'm unsure with the supplier. I had a short chat on the OSMU on Discord and skot answered:

BM1370AA and BC should be fine. Zeus however is not reputable. I would avoid them.

Thanks, I wonder if they're the same pinout/package, I'll have to get a BM1370 and have a play.

Thanks for your help.

Did he say why?
I have personally and I know 2 other people who have ordered from them with no issue.

Granted, it's a really small sample size and things could have changed since we all bought but I have not heard of any issues.

HOWEVER, I have not looked for any issues with them either. It's one of those things, if you order and get what you ordered you will miss the 50 posts of people with issues since you didn't have a problem.

I don't know why, he didn't go deeper into the topic. Maybe there are other reasons. But if you and others ordered without any problems, I shouldn't worry.
On the other hand I wouldn't know how to trace if they are reliable or not other than asking in this forum or on the bitaxe channels on Discord.

There are some groups breaking down S21 Pros and selling the chips. Plebsource.com is one (https://plebsource.com/products/untitled-mar28_07-49) others if you ask around.

Holy cow, they are asking for 120 USD, which is more than double the price D-Central is selling for. It is not mentioned anywhere but the picture shows three of the BM1370. Is it possible that the price is for three?

When did they start pushing knockoffs?

As I said, I and others have used them albeit years ago, and had zero issues. Last miner that I even worried about fixing was before covid so we are talking 5+ years at this point.
