Yeah you are right, it is better one invest with money he or she can afford to lose that is using only discretionary income to invest, we all know what discretionary income is if anyone don't discretionary income are income or money that is remaining after deduction of taxes, mortgage, and basic living costs from your monthly or weekly salary the remaining money lift after settling all these is your discretionary income, now if you are using only your Discretionary income to invest it won't affect you it will keep your investment safe but if you are not using only your Discretionary income you will always be tempted to dip hands into your investment to settle some things, some set of people because they want to rush and build up there investment they start investing aggressively and even using money they are suppose to use to pay bills to invest which will later lead them to having financial issues and in other to settle that financial issues they then dip hands into there investment, so if you are going into investment in the crypto space you need to invest using only your Discretionary income or money you can afford to lose.

Though I share the same sentiment as you that at a point loss is inevitable in investing in cryptocurrency, that's why we mostly advice to invest what you can do away with, but all these are mostly related to alt coin and meme coin investment not Bitcoin, because Bitcoin always rallies back regardless of how dip it fell, and as long as you are holding for a very long period of time, you can never be at a loss because it's an asset that appreciate in value overtime, so you are more likely get a very good return on investment if you can hold for like three circles or more, but in the case of alt coin or meme coin, once they drop to a certain level, they are as good as gone, they will rather drop further than recovering back to where they fell from, that's why investment in alt and especially meme coin is like gambling with your hard earned money, so if in any case an investor want to follow that rout, in other to be on the safer side,  it is best to invest only what you can afford to lose, so that if things doesn't works out as planned, he or she wouldn't be troubled or shaken by it.

That being said, I agree that the amount and the stress are correlated, and in my personal experience, I do feel very calm about BTC because of applying the aforementioned rule. Even though I have high anxiety in my life overall.

If you use all money you have for investment, even you say you are affordt to lose all of it, it is still very stressful for you. It's better and less stressful if you never use all money you have for investment.

CZ sold all assests he had for investment in Bitcoin, perhaps 11 years ago. If it made him stressful, I am not surprised as I imagine I will be stressful similarly.

I don't completely agree with that. Even though it can work because when masses are selling, the market will usually crash and you can buy, but that doesn't work all the time and one cannot wait for only such opportunities for them to trade unless they are doing it for the long term and when your plan is long term, you should never wait for a specific moment to buy but you should do it whenever you have funds available.

People usually miss out on profits because they try to time the market perfectly, which is barely possible. Unless you are extremely lucky or have extensive knowledge and analytical skills, you will mostly miss the tops and the bottoms and sell or buy in between, and there is nothing wrong with that because this is a very volatile and unpredictable market we are in.
