I guess if the market becomes fully dominated by crypto, with Bitcoin leading the way, then there’s a possibility it could happen. Right now, it seems impossible given the current state of the market, but things can change over time.

This is only possible if XRP will reduce their circulating supply to adjust their price on this level. This target price will bring XRP marketcap greater than Bitcoin.

Reduce the supply so that the marketcap will becomes like shirt coins marketcap. The marketcap will fall to less than $8 million if no one sold yet. More people will be encouraged to sell at the very high price which would lead to the collapse of the coin.

are you out of your mind? for xrp to be $18,000, it needs to be about 8,000 times more valuable than its current price. its current market cap is around $130 billion, do you realize how much its value would have to be if you multiplied that by 8,000?

this has nothing to do with the development of cryptocurrencies or xrp's expectations. this is impossible. the value i just mentioned is equivalent to 10 times the entire world economy.

the only way this could happen is if the us dollar and other fiat currencies lost an extreme amount of value, and people started using only crypto. but in such a scenario, $18,000 wouldn’t mean what it does now, it would just be a number.

Which is not possible. Fiat are losing value gradually and not to a larger extent like this. It is not even fiat, but United States dollars. Inflation in United States since a decade ago has not been more than 3.0.

If you see the total supply that XRP has in my opinion it is very unlikely to reach that price, what is the maximum number of Marketca [that must be held by XRP to achieve that much amount? Today looks very illogical, let alone take steps that way in my opinion the technology offered to the global financial system will not only be XRP and there must be competitors who will divide the position with XRP as a global financial system in conducting transactions, this cannot be logic in the form of one formula.

I assume that it is very difficult even though it is not impossible if it monopolizes the transaction.

Anyone could predict that and drop the figures base on what they believe to be reached by XRP, but if you find their basis on why they say that you will find out that this is just another nonsense claims.

They are just using the growth of Bitcoin and think about XRP would go the same. 

People need to look on how it can gain such huge demands also volumes so that this coin would pump like that. I guess they are just hyping people since maybe they have long position placed and maybe want to trick people out there so that they can hit their selling targets.

Even @Japinat thinks that's crazy; he is just sharing the article for us to discuss the possibility, Just because you shared it doesn't mean you agree on it, and checking the article, the prediction is not guaranteed but dwells on speculation. XRP believers will be happy if their beloved coin reaches $30; that's already a huge achievement for its developers.

However, regarding XRP’s adoption and its goal of becoming the cash flow value pipeline of the world, RippleNet and XRP are nowhere close to the projections made in the white paper. The probability of XRP being worth $18,036 by 2030 is infinitesimally small.

The whole crypto marketcap today is less than $3T, I doubt the world even have $104T lol

That's a stupidest analysis i have ever seen about XRP.

XRP has not yet surpassed bitcoin's marketcap, which needs 15x increase from XRP's current price. Meanwhile, it needs around 124x increase to reach gold marketcap. I can't even believe that analysis is talking about each XRP possible to worth 18k.

Crazy predictions went wild at $18K, is this because Trump said it would be the country's reserve strategy?

I don't believe this even if it's 20 years in the future, some might say “we don't know the future” but this is just too much.

I will be saving this here. Of course we are in a speculative market at the same time we are in a more realistic market. So our speculation has to be realistic and not something we speak out of imaginations and wishes. XRP at $18k is very realistic depending on the time frame. Is it possible this year i dont think so, in five years to 10 years it is somehow possible.

if they were priced at $18,000 each, that would be  a market cap of 1800, Quadrillion,
over 1000 times all the assets on planet earth.

Aside the fact how that doesn't make any sense in any way, Cointelegraph has lost all credibility ages ago. And this is just one example of their horrible click bait journalism. Giving a megaphone to some internet crypto influencers trying to pump their bags seems to be journalism now.

I wouldn't count out banks using XRP, but that's only because i wouldn't count out collapse of USA itself with current administration either. Banks using XRP just isn't a good idea in any way, but not good ideas seems to be a trend over there. Imho it would be just another stick taken away from the united states of jenga game.

it's possible if there's hyper inflation, but seeing current price and current market cap like mentioned, just feels like impossible thing to achieve for XRP, money need to come from somewhere.
the calculation itself just doesn't feel like its right, also unlike bitcoin which has strong capital inflow from institutional investor, XRP is just like secondary alternative asset for most of big players who try to diversify their portfolio.
imho, even XPR hasn't touched ATH yet reaching $4 is already difficult for XRP. there's also no strong use case for public, mostly XRP got its use case by working with something like western union for remittance.
it's just not good enough to achieve that price, if it's $10 it's more realistic within few years.

If you want to gamble with that, you can hold 1000 XRP and leave that in your private wallet and not think much about that.

You will see what happen later in the next 10 years. If XRP price really increase and hit $18,000, you will be one of the richest people. You don't have to bother think if the price can not hit that price because you don't mind with anything that will happen. .

We just trying to hold 1000 XRP we can afford to see what will happen in the future. Even if we think that is not possible, we don't know what will happen later.
