For those who just came to the cryptocurrency space 2 to 3 years ago, may not know this project. $AB is an advanced blockchain ecosystem that evolved from the Newton Project, established in 2018. I farmed it back in 2018 when trustwallet was hot, but had forgotten about it until they rebranded, and eventually got listed. The exchange also rewarded long-term people like me Here. I just hope this project will reach the level of BTC, ETH, and others due to its longevity.

With all the years I have been in the crypto world, I haven't seen any crypto project that was rebranded doing well or hitting its previous ATH when it was listed on a centralized exchange or decentralized exchange, so it will be better if you could lower your expectations on this $AB you are thinking will do well so that you will not get disappointed when it fails to perform the way you imagine. If you have been in the crypto world for a very long time, as you claim, you would have known that nothing is comparable to Bitcoin in the crypto world. Wake up from your dream because a token that has failed before can never do well even though it was rebranded because a lot of investors have lost faith in the token, and they will sell off their holdings once the token is listed on a centralized exchange or decentralized exchange to recover their money, which will likely lead to the token to fail again.

Maybe OP thinks that other coins or tokens are built like bitcoin; that could be the reason he believes when a long-forgotten project is rebranded, it will do well and get to the level of bitcoin, but since he didn't know that altcoins and shitcoins mainly depend on the performance of bitcoin to grow, he fails to realize that it is never possible for an altcoin or shitcoin to perform like bitcoin or even come close to bitcoin. It will even be difficult for a project that has been forgotten to do well because investors will not want to invest their money into such a project so that they will not lose their money, so it will be difficult for active trade to happen on a centralized exchange when such a coin or token is listed.

I see two things here. First, it might be a means to come back to the market genuinely and see if they can build their ecosystem well to get a profit for themselves.

We do know that exchangers will really be that delisting out those tokens/coins on which doesnt really that giving any volume or simply doesnt generate income to them on which it would really be that getting delisted once they will really be able to notice it out and most exchangers would really be doing it. For those who have decided on trying out to invest into those coins that had been sitting low for long and believing that there might be some recovery. Actually making out some choice or investment with these projects will really be just that look like a gamble on which you will really be that trying out to believe whether it would be making out some pump or you are really just that wasting up your money with a project on which it doesnt give out any significant price pump. I've heard people say quite a number of times that they don't like exchanges listing this or that, are they not exchanges? See, the more the coins/tokens listed, the more patronage and activities on their website and more money for them. A million people who were loyal to Binance, for instance, had to open accounts with Bybit, Bitget, Mexc etc just because Binance didn't list the crypto project they wanted. And if they are used to the platform, they may even forget Binance or drastically reduce their activity on the platform. So listing more is business to them and it's left to us on the crypto project we want to choose from.

As for the subject matter itself, yes, rebranding and "upgrades" can attract more patronage and the way people view and appreciate the project.

This is the first sensible opinion i have seen under ths thread, the almighty Binance listed $trump when everyone was crying scam at the end of the day, everything is business. So saying one exchange list projects anyhow shouldn't be the case, Bitget list great projects even in listing the exchange will give opportunity for users or coin holders to participate in events, one example is that of Pi where just by trading people get to go share 31400 worth of PI which I enjoyed.  Same with other exchanges like Okx and even Bybit. Yes, rebranding does work, buddy. I’ve seen the AB project before, though I didn’t realize it was rebranded but it seems to have worked for them. In the crypto space, some things work out, while others don’t. I’ve seen projects succeed after rebranding, while others didn’t survive despite it. However there's no room to panic because we've our own rights, knowing exactly what to do inothee to fill out our space should be appropriate. It really sounds laughable hearing such comment from the op because rebranding doesn't changes anything, it might just make the asset to appreciate for a while, after then the declining or stagnation continues, because it's pointless beating a dead horse.

I believe it is possible for a project to revive like the Fenix bird after a good rebranding and a good advertising campaign, but it is not something easy to do and there is not something easy to pull off to begin with.

It is possible for a long forgotten project to do well after a long time. This has once happened to me with an airdropped I received from coinmarketcap some year back. This coin was dumped but I decide to leave it. It was so surprise to check my wallet and see this project has done well. This is why you should not abandon your wallet with some coin no matter what. There are some people who received BTC in those day but we're unable to access their wallet where it was stored till date.

What project was this? But it's true that if there is a rebranding, it's the second chance that will be given by investors to that project and if it didn't do any good. It's best to leave that project and forget about that coin.

On the good side, you'll never know what a project will bring us because if there's some tokens or coins that have a working developers. They can make things unexpectedly good just as what happened to you.

A project that has been around for a long time, then changes its name, needs a lot of promotion and that's impossible. Besides, a project that suddenly disappears and then reappears with a new name must be wrong. There are so many projects that are born with advanced technology, speed, and even well-prepared to be able to reach the BTC or ETH level, but until now none have been able to compete with ETH, let alone bitcoin as the parent of all coins. No matter how the situation of the project might be when there is a prominent team that is ready to take the club to the next level, then I don't see why the project can not do well. The thing that matters is the management, the team of developers that can give the project a good hype and bring more sponsors to give the project a brand new shape, because the moment people see a good hype about the project, for sure people will forget that the project has been having issues. It is possible for a long forgotten project to do well after a long time. This has once happened to me with an airdropped I received from coinmarketcap some year back. This coin was dumped but I decide to leave it. It was so surprise to check my wallet and see this project has done well. This is why you should not abandon your wallet with some coin no matter what. That is not going to be a soft work because this will need continuous marketing for people that have heard about it before to keep getting updates about the project so they don't think that the project comes into scene to scam people. I have not heard of this project before but also I congratulate you on getting some rewards as long time participants in the project. When talking about rebranding, I can’t remember of a project that rebranded and got more successful than before. You should not even hope for what will not come to fruition on this project, none of the coins you’ve listed can this coin of yours come close to in price. Not even ETH, talk more of bitcoin. So if you’re anticipating for such, you should lower your expectations and focus on how to stand at a benefiting end of the project before it gets to fall in price again.

So many changes happen when coins had rebranded to another and I hope you are aware of many of the changes and I hope you aren't affected negatively.

Most newly rebranded projects always changes the old contract address, sometimes the sticker, the price and so but these changes mostly affects the old token holders, I hope you've checked this to avoid been overjoyed, sometimes, it may not be allowable to sell off the old token if you haven't migrated to the new token.

You just have to be monitor this project if these happens in the ecosystem before you could confirm that the value of your token really corresponds to the new price not that, the old tokens value is the reflection of the new price but in reality, it's not allowable.

I believe the key to fantom success for their rebranding to sonic is the massive ongoing airdrop program and people are swarming their airdrop and willing to lock their money in the sonic chain just to get a piece of cake  .

They might do good if they re-brand their project, but the thing is that it should be as close as the last one. It should be a entirely new concept so that investors are going to be made aware of the new one and maybe they will start all over again to invest.

But not sure if this is a good strategy or not, maybe the stigma is going to be their with that project already and investors will not be interested. It's really hard to understand the sentiments of the crypto investors to be honest. There are goo project that lacks supports, and then bad projects that has been heavily invested, just saying.
