The price of most coins has fallen while the fall is not that huge for coins like bitcoin. About solana, you can buy it at anytime that you want but do not trust in this coin than to be gambling with it. See it as gambling. Make profit and sell is the best. Many of these coins will not that rise if bitcoin increased in price next. Their rise may even be comparable to the how bitcoin rise but their fall will be far more.

Good idea, I will advise you if you're buying for a short term, then take the opportunity of buying at around $120 and sell at your desired rate, but if for long term investment, then consider going below $100.

Some market are crashing while some are pumping, any coin you want to invest in, have to be the one you have n idea of it's recent performance and know how you could track on these from the chart, this will help you to figure the best entry and exit positions you must look in for.

Hard to give financial advise mate, perhaps you can just DYOR and hopefully you will be right on what coins you want to invest. Others might shill some as obviously they could have been holding that coins too.

I don't know why I keep seeing many newbies coming to ask almost similar questions with this. You need to understand that you need to have some knowledge about cryptocurrency for you to know when to buy and when to sell. The market is not funny at all and I've been seeing price of Bitcoin going down and up just like other cryptocurrency projects. Solana is a good project and I would advise you to buy the dip now and don't be greedy looking for the deepest dip so that you can take full advantage of the market.
Some you don't really have comprehensive knowledge about how things works in the market, you need to make sure that you buy now so that you can ride the market price.

The big question is if we have already reached a crypto market cycle high (including Bitcoin, i.e. the ATH of most coins is already in), if we have reached an altcoin cycle high, or if it's only an intermediate correction.

If we have already reached a cycle high in December/January, this means we will probably go downhill for at least 10-11 months from now and most altcoins will fall 90% or more. Even Solana which has already lost almost 60% would lose a lot more.

We could also have already seen the cycle top of most altcoins, like in early 2021, but Bitcoin could still make a bullish move setting a new ATH. This would mean no new ATHs for altcoins, but at least an opportunity to cut losses.

And there's still the possibility that we're seeing only an intermediate correction. Then I think the current levels are quite good to enter.

I think the probability is highest for option 2 (altcoin cycle top but not market/Bitcoin top), followed by option 3 (intermediate correction) and 1 (cycle high) is lowest, albeit I think even this option has at least 20-25% probability. This means buying this dip is risky but could still mean short term profits or at least an opportunity to sell at a similar price. (No investment advice, personal opinion only, and I was both right and wrong many times ).

Bitcoin keep rising above other projects in the market, it's understandable. Buying cheaper will only come in the bear market. Most of us are given the opportunity to buy these altcoins cheaper in the bear market, then we wait patiently for the bull season to arrive. The market is not running, we can buy SOL in any point given time. This is not something we rush because we've seen other of our colleagues rushing into the market, we also know how it ended for them. I'm only here to make good profits and few losses because we're not bots, we would keep possible recording of our activities in the market.

That's one of the hardest things to figure out if you're buying. If you're selling, then anytime you can to cut your losses, one strategy is to buy a portion for every dip and go all out when its going up.
This has been my strategy when buying from the dip; we all want to buy at the floor, but the floor is something that is uncertain when the market keeps dipping.

What you need to know is that Solana has reached its ATH this season and has dip around 40%+. So I can't give any advice but in this condition I prefer to use a scalping strategy to gain profit gradually rather than spending all your money.
The most important thing is that you don't think too much about profits and the lowest or highest prices, but you must have a certain strategy to reduce the risks that can occur.

Bitcoin is more volatile these days and the recent drop down to $76k took the market by surprise. At times like this the altcoins get dumped so for the time being there is no bottom for them. On top of that the altcoins are generally dumping in long term so in a way the real bottom for them is zero.

In any case if you really want to make profit from the altcoin market, my advice is always that instead of focusing on buying some shitcoin hoping it will pump and give you profit, you should look at the entire market and see which shitcoin is actually pumping and then ride that wave "live" to make quick profit and avoid becoming a bag holder watching your capital melt away.

Everything is already fairly significantly down though, what if the bottom is already in & you’re sat waiting for lower & it doesn’t happen. I think this dip is already good enough to justify buying but it’s your call to make.

Let me sound a note of warning to you and I hope you would yield to it.

This is not the time to do the guesswork about buying cryptocurrencies, no one is sure if the bear season has stylishly started or not. But one thing is sure, those altcoins may not hit their ATH this season again, so why risk your money? What if the bear season has started and you buy SOL at $150? How would you feel when people started buying their SOL in 2027 at $30? Wisdom and patience are needed here.

If its really easy to figure out such thing then provably that all of us here are so rich. But that situation is actually hard to spot, also no one here could exactly guess about the possible bottom of the coin you ask.

So best to stop seeking for such crazy recommendation and better yet learn on how you can trade for yourself since for sure that there's nothing easy when dealing with volatile coin out there including Solana. Better take everything easy and don't get hype much on information about you can earn money by trading your crypto since earning profit is not easy as what you think. Better take it slow while its early then try to gain experience and additional learnings so that you can enhance your skills on trading.

The bottom is something that even experts can't figure out; spread your buy on every dip and use the Coingecko tool to track your profit, and you are good to go, but why only Solana? You should not put your eggs in one basket unless you have more grand for other altcoins.

Only if we could know. There's no way to decide what's the lowest it get. Considering the political scenario at the moment, we are still far away from a normalization but that don't necessarily means crypto would go deeper as there are limits how low people would sell for. Hacks and politics whatever be the reasons, this indeed is a correction after spectacular rise in price. It might have came sooner than people thought but its here. The market could boom anytime or like last time, take years to make a positive change and remain sideways till than. The only thing we could do is buy and accumulate coin and decrease our price through Dollar cost averaging.

No one will ever know when the bottom is and when is the peak. Remember that. So, if you are planning to buy, just buy it, and it's much better if you apply DCA.

We can see that almost all or the majority of altcoins, top meme coins are in the red in the market in which is really a good chance for traders or investors to buy at a cheap price, so in such cases those who can't afford the type of people who have extensive knowledge in this crypto industry are easy on their part to accumulate the top altcoins they want to buy in this industry.

But for ordinary people like me, the budget I have is very limited because I am not a rich person, I am not a poor person either, as long as I am at an average level of life in this world. And you know I'm also a family man just like the other here living a simple life only.
