Ok...  Just starting this thread as things are getting more interesting with the Sonic eco.  The Shadow protocol with the good ol' ve(3,3) stuff is taking off, getting a bunch of TVL and it's giving out juicy APR's.  And here's the thing, SHADOW's market cap is still below 50m.  I think that's an easy 10x just like what Aerodrome did last year, Base's premier DEX.

Anyway, watch this interview.  It looks like Andre Cronje is planning on launching a perps and spot DEX that could compete with Binance and Coinbase.

This could be huge imho.  And it looks like every fast L1 wants to have a good product via perps DEX just like what Hyperliquid did.  If there's a presale for Cronje's DEX I'd def want in.

Things look like to have bottomed in the Sonic side of things...  The chart doesn't really look pretty but could be the time to pick your spots to buy.

If you guys are into yield farming, there's an EGG/SHADOW pool at Shadow DEX that pays around 200% APY or more depending on volume for the wide mode and double that for narrow mode.  You guys could get around 100 bucks a week LP'ing 500 bucks worth of EGGS and 500 bucks of SHADOW.

The increasing number of solid DEX that are able to provide advantages is certainly good news as a competitor to CEX. However everything about competition like what happened between Hyperliquid some time ago was used as an attack by the people behind CEX. It makes sense because Hyperliquid implements a backstop system, in other words if a trader experiences a loss and no one takes his position, the system Hyperliquid will automatically cover the loss.

Now the problem is whether the Shadow Protocol is able to do the same or much more than Hyperliquid?

Been using Sonic since the mainnet launch, and feel so many improvement happened compared when it was still Fantom. TVL is just surpassing 1 billion, but a bit disappointed with S's performance. It likes token is just so hard in bouncing back, though it has huge TVL.

What do you think about S airdrop? i've collected like a few millions S points, but not sure it worth even more than a hundred bucks.

Also staking shadow is quite risky for me. prefer to passively staking scUSD.

I always have over estimate between  sonic ( fantom ) and cardano  for buy  in low price and hold for long time ( fundamental idea )

Wow, I didn’t realize FTM rebranded to Sonic now, wow. And that ve(3,3) model isn’t like Olympus DAO’s OHM. Olympus locked tokens for staking and bonding, while ve(3,3) adds dynamic APRs and cross-protocol boosts based on revenue and user activity.

^  Ah yeah, it looks like a lot of other guys I've talked to about crypto don't know that Sonic was Fantom before the upgrade.  It's not just a 'rebrand', it's also an actual technical upgrade with major improvements under the hood by Andre Cronje's team.

I think Ethereum should do the same as these new EVM networks like Hyperliquid are eating out of its market share.  And soon, Monad is going online too.  That should be a good airdrop.

Yeah I get it, his last project at then Fantom with Danielle Siesta or whatever his name is left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.  But he did bring Yearn tho, which wasn't extractive and it actually brought some ponzi goodness fun in crypto.    But all in all, he started the whole DeFi thing which brought a lot of these L1's their 'use cases'. 

As for Sonic right now...  It's not really looking good, but not that bad either.  The whole altcoin market is mostly choppy.
