I updated to the latest version of simplex and did a RESTART again, and after the last step I received a response from the bot, so I think it will work now. I didn't receive any notifications yesterday.

I can confirm that everything with bot is fixed and it's working fine for me now.

SimplexChat is making very frequent updates, and I also found that out that things don't always work correctly if I don't update to the latest version.

You don't need to do anything. If you're receiving notifications, you're good... just keep the same contact. New users can use the new address to add the bot.

I rewrote some code so the bot is more stable, so you won't notice any new features but hopefully fewer missed notifications.

I downloaded the app once, but to be honest I didn’t really like the style, and besides, not many people were using it.
That said, I have to admit your bot worked well, but that was months ago and I haven’t used it since.
Telegram’s much better by my standards.
It’s a shame because the app deserves better and is, unfortunately, not very well known.

Unfortunately NO!

I used to use it in the past, but due to "slow sync", "delayed notifications" and the most annoying one "data curruption", I stopped using it. Not once not twice but several times I faced this situation. The backup file wouldn't just work/load, and even if it did, part of it gets corrupted, so sending and receiving gets messed up.

So no, I don't use the bot on SimpleX. Telegram is the only less painful option for me now...

The bot isn't the problem, but simpleX itself was.
