I have two virtual cards Ready and Pavy and I follow the same personal rule for both i.e. I top them up right before making online purchase with amount that does not exceed the required sum by more than 1 USDC. Pavy works well for US online stores, while Ready is good for EU purchases.
For POS payments I prefer to use my physical Wirex card, which I allow myself to top up with larger amount usually around 1,000 EUR.
All of these cards are KYC, and I will always look for one that isn't because I don't want to give out my information and always be afraid that someone will hack it. Of course, virtual crypto cards have their drawbacks, such as the impossibility of withdrawing cash from ATMs (although there is even one that works in some countries) and the possibility that it will stop working at any time.
I've always been lucky to find reliable ones, and as I wrote in a previous post, I don't have more on them than I'm willing to lose.
Yeah, KYC is the drawback of those cards, but unlike you, I haven’t been lucky enough to find any card that doesn’t require KYC procedure to be fully operational. I’d appreciate it if you could share any relevant information with me via PM.
Regarding ATM withdrawals, I do have that option because I also possess Wirex and Ready cards in physical form, but I’ve never used them for this purpose. They serve as some kind of backup for my related virtual cards.
