So, who is still around, more than 10 years after launch?
Anyone from the old days who reponds to this post, I've got plenty of goodies (some high-issuance pepes, some rarer ones, some fun old assets) to give away!
To qualify: you must have previously posted in this thread prior to July 2019 _and_ you must not have posted anything more recently.
Either post your Counterparty address here, or by PM.
I almost qualify... you might not have any takers as this thread is pretty dead as of late. Here's my first post in it: What will happen if someone puts up an illegal asset? Has anybody raised that question yet?
Lets say somone anonymous creates an asset that infringes on some companies copyrights, called "Facebook" or "Nintendo" for example? Or if I create an asset that makes money with illegal activities like DDOS blackmail or sale of drugs. Would a SilkRoad-asset be allowed to exist and is there any way to remove it? What is the official policy of the devs if they have regarding those cases?
Counterparty is an open platform, like Bitcoin itself, and no one (not even a dev) is capable of removing or renaming other users' assets Hi PhantomPhreak, I too am only a month or two into Counterparty and am fascinated by its capabilities and potential. Since SilkRoad was shut down do you fear websites like Counterwallet could potentially be shut down if there was evidence of some sort of nefarious activities (regarding copyright infringement or illegal goods) going on with the assets? I am near certain a few NXT assets have been publicly exposed as more-or-less scams already, though to be fair one guy (NewNxtGames) did offer to repurchase all the assets he sold at their purchase price when his whole idea for making games based on the NXT blockchain fell through. My apologies if you are already well tired of answering this question. I read all the CounterParty Protocol and Wiki articles and will dig into this thread before I ask any potentially silly questions. Here's my main token collection address, as its already public knowledge: 1864jXLSdbZq319oQScCNG1m7nLYbGHuBX Am always happy to pick up a new Rare Pepe. Would send you something old & strange in return. For anyone who might be interested, here's where most of the action is happening when it comes to Counterparty: https://t.me/Counterparty_XCPIts good to see the old devs back at the helm, even if its stirred some controversy... any new attention on this platform is welcomed IMO.

Hi, Do you know Why in the freewallet.io (run in the google chrome web) there is no any assets VISIBLE, just only bitcoin, but no counterparty xcp, nor others assets/token ? I do not know if there is the same issue on the desktop wallet installed on windows or linux, or in the another wallet, like "horizon" which is also proposed at the main counterparty site ( www.counterparty.io). Yes , i know its (maybe) better to use desktop wallet instead of entering seedphrase into a weird website, but im not a millionaire and i just wanna check something, and, since we're talking about it -- i do not know if i'll try install suspiciously heavy file (133 MB .. r-lly?) there will be no the same problem!? So, whats wrong with this - so called - freewallet?? I rememmber the time (about two years ago) everything was fine ...but something has definitely changed (from my point of view).

Nothing's wrong with Freewallet. Its a great wallet. Most of the problems you mention stem from issues of the newest release of Counterparty. They are still being ironed out AFAIK. Give them a few weeks before everything is compatible & in sync.

TBH there's a huge rift happening between two Counterparty dev camps right now. For those who may not know, J-Dog (and a couple of others) maintained Counterparty for years after it was abandoned by the original devs (the ones who started this thread). Now the original devs are back and are kind of performing a hostile takeover of Counterparty. Some of the features they are adding (like atomic swaps) are really cool, but some (Fairmints) seem to be an appeal to degens. Not really happy that the devs muscled out J-Dog. A lot of stuff has broken in the past couple of weeks due to "upgrades" by the original devs that weren't thoroughly tested. Releases just in the last 3 weeks: counterparty-core 10.4.3 counterparty-core 10.4.4 counterparty-core 10.4.5 counterparty-core 10.4.6 counterparty-core 10.4.7 counterparty-core 10.4.8 counterparty-core 10.5 counterparty-core 10.6 counterparty-core 10.6.1 Hopefully things will be ironed out before too long. This kind of discord is terrible for the community.

The web version of that wallet has not been updated in many years. It is unfortunate that the creator does not have the consideration to put notice on the interface.

Okey, i stopped using desktop freewallet over two years ago, when I discovered it was saving plaintext passphrases locally in web data file. I emptied every wallet that touched the software and that is how I discovered zero qty ownership sweeps fails! (fixed now) (i supose somewhere is a confusion , not only on https://www.trustpilot.com/review/freewallet.io , but also at https://coinbureau.com/review/freewallet/ : - they said: Warning ⚠️: The site Freewallet.io is NOT associated with the Freewallet.org wallet being reviewed. Do not trust it! Be sure to find the download links at freewallet.org ) . No comment . Yeah, that's true, its an unfortunate choice of naming. Although it has been brought to his attention multiple times, he has made no public effort to rebrand. There is a telegram room for support, but I would not waste my time/data TBH there IS a huge rift happening between two Counterparty dev camps right now. For those who may not know Villar had become the sole active maintainer, but unfortunately died of COV1D. In the power vaccume, J-Dog paid and ignorantly directed John's brother to push hostile changes on Counterparty for the years since. The original devs are back with a new team and have spent the last last 9+ months bringing Counterparty up to speed. Listen to the multiple interviews that the OP has done with the emblem finance guys: there was too much TECH DEBT!! (No wonder Counterparty had been hemorrhaging projects for years, everything was becoming more convoluted, and less stable!) The testing suite had been broken for 8+? years, so I'm not sure why anyone would pushing for continual upgrades, unless they benefited personally. People who want to complain about recent features and access to them are missing the context and do not understand what is happening on a deeper level. Not really happy that the fans of Jeremy have managed to become institutionalized by cult of the personality. A lot of stuff has been broken FOR YEARS dues to "upgrades" by the hubris of the ill informed. That's contrary to all these actual improvements. They only asked for funds once, and that was to pay a very talented dev to put in the hard hours in a short amount of time. Things are being ironed out. This new professional approach is so much better than the sophomoronic hostility that stunted the protocol for too many years now. I was really growing tired of barking lapdogs who are not properly house trained. As a consequence of Jeremy's behavior, a new telegram room has been established, where the OP is actually admin. He created it after being subjected to unnecessary drama http://t.me/counterpartygeneralfixed it also, while listening to Joe try to explain reality from indoctrination during the last twitter hangout I came up with a term for what we are all in right now: Irony Fractal One of my more favorite works of cryptoart on Counterparty is a glimpse into this paradoxical ruler. Being so clueless as having commissioned this artwork as a statement is a glimpse of the absurd levels of irony we are mired in. It seems he is hopping into his balloon next to float himself into another world where he can continue to make unilateral decisions on behalf of "the community" https://tokenscan.io/asset/WIZARDOFXCPI didn't come here to talk about Jeremy. Yet, I am overjoyed that so many users are now ready to move on without him. Ive been working on getting him fully evicted from my headspace for a while now, and I think I may have him finally uninstalled (unlike freewallet)

Adam & co shouldn't have rushed out a bunch of changes, the problem really is that simple. And all for what? Trying to capitalize on the Ordinals/Runes degen movement? It's just sad. I didn't come here to talk about Jeremy.
Yet that's the only thing you did. I know you've had a hard-on for him for years, don't really care about your personal beef, whatsoever. It clearly affects your every waking movement. Congrats and thanks for your "input".

quite professional of you to use terms like that. But seriously, to write off every actual concern over the years with a simple comment of "personal conflict" is peak ingenuousness.
simply put, he is his own worst enemy. I have no need to point it out further. everyone sees it now, except for the chosen few, like you who will remain willfully ignorant and cannot fathom mustering a decent response to the substance of the discussion.
I did not parody your fanboy response for your approval. I did it for the benefit of the users who are not on telegram to see the IRONYFRACTAL for themselves. He is literally using arguments that are actually previous accusations of his behavior, just parroting words back at people.
Like you, just parroting words lapdogs and socks use.
happy (belated) SOCKTOBER

I'm just talking about with you. I've seen what you do over the years: J-Dog builds something & you criticize it. That's what you do. happy (belated) SOCKTOBER
Yeah I'm a sockpuppet for... who, J-Dog? He's actually busy doing stuff. We're just sitting on the sidelines commentating. He's not perfect. Nobody is. But you're ignoring the massive problems caused by Adam & co's updates in order to continue shitting on him. Your unshakeable mission to exact vengeance on J-Dog has defined you and rendered your opinion hard to take seriously, for years. Have a great day.

In 2014/2015, there were some transactions in my counterwallet I forgot about and am trying to clean up a few accounts. No counterwallet website seems to be working - is this dead money?

This is still the most-used downloadable wallet client: https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/releases/tag/v2.0.1Its a great wallet that supports the latest version of Counterparty by default. AFAIK the web wallet has been down for some time, so IMO this is the next best bet. There are a couple of online wallets as well: https://rarepepewallet.wtf/https://xcp.ninja/

I have an old XCP token from 2017 connected with artworks from that year. It is similar to other vintage stuff on XCP like pepe NFT except its a fungible vault (ABT). I am not aware of any other ABT from 2017 that is backed by art on XCP or ERC-20 as all of them were backed by gold or fiat with limited long term upside. https://www.coingecko.com/en/categories/tokenized-productsI am willing to part with 66 000 tokens, 100% of max supply in exchange for $1m USDT. 2017 Proof: https://forums.counterparty.io/t/ticker-marquimuseum-now-in-float-on-counterparty-platform-pegged-to-xcp-1-1/4396Vault: https://tokenscan.io/asset/MARQUIMUSEUMIt is possible to republish the art catalogue on Ordinals marketplace. I will provide buyer with passphrase to the original issuance wallet ( https://tokenscan.io/address/1365jxJZekwyu5EmB5M6z21UJjH9utAdbh) so that the Ordinals are published using the same wallet for continuity and provenance. I will provide advisory for the buyer if they want to republish including source images. There is some unpublished material aswell that I am employing freelance artists to commercialize which may be of further interest. To my knowledge max file size using Ordinals publishing is 4mb which is why I have not personally bothered with it since the original JPG images are 9000x6000 pixels. contact@marquisemuseum.com for offers, $1m is not set in stone but its in that vicinity in my opinion. ERC-20 vault and NFTs were appraised to $2m in 2021: https://docdro.id/d42ND6gPlease view my previous post in waves announcement thread if you are interested in acquiring the ERC-20 ($1m) or Waves versions ($36 000). The ethereum vault already is integrated since 2021 with swappable Opensea NFTs.
