im using afterburner for tweaking the 280x
coreclock 1200
the other settings are at default
-I 18 in .bat and getting 12.6mh/s

What is thread-concurrency setting for R9 280x

i didn't set that
let the sgminer set it itself
and before run the .bat, make sure you haven't any .bin in your sgminer folder's root (maybe make a folder and put them in it as backup)

It's 8 hours, sure it could be less, but its better than 3 days of LTC and better than 1 block retargeting (KGW) which is open to the KGW exploit.

It's a design feature intended to allow the coin to be insta-mined on release (and thus, technically not "premined") by a large farm in collaboration with the developer.  Initial difficulty is set very low, retarget takes a while, initial batch of coins gets gobbled up in seconds and then trickled out onto markets after the coin has had a chance to get slightly established and listed on an exchange or two.  Then the dev can disappear and go start another coin.

no settings applied. --algorithm and -k set, nothing else. 17.6 is what sgminer showed and 17.6 is what the pool said.

gigabyte r9 270 windforce 2x oc .. best card ever!

I set -X 300 instead -I.. and --tread-concurrency 5120

and follow the example usage
just add these 2 lines to your .bat file (before any settings) :
