Are Traders supposed to be called investor too?

investor. The miners and Node runners are also investing in Bitcoin by making the

You don't have to say "for me" those who understand bitcoin to the core understand that Miners are investors and not traders. They are categorize as investors. In trading there is short term and long term the same with investment. And as I said these professions as one of the commenters said, have different tools to use. Though there are times some of the tools are related like market analysis of rising and falling. Buy the dip and sell in the bull. In trading the bull is seconds, minutes, hours, days and weeks or months. But in investment the bull is months and years that is one of the biggest different. When they buy bitcoin for long term and then when they sell it, aren't they trading and considered traders? They are selling (that is trading) their bitcoin for fiat. They are holding the coins with the intention of trading it. So yes, they are also traders, but just holding it for longer terms. Once they sell, they will buy again when the price drops. And yes, when you are trading, you are investing. Just look at the definition of investing. It means putting down money with the hope of generating profit. So yes, you are investing money when trading with the hope of gaining some money and hence traders are also investors.

Bitcoin investors are those that buy Bitcoin and hold for a period of time for the sole purpose of making profit. They can decide to hold for a long or short time depending on when the profitability comes and they sell off to take their profits. As an investor of Bitcoin, you can’t be liquidated, your value of Bitcoin will rise and fall depending on the market fluctuations. You can only leave the market manually when you’re no more interested.

A trader analysis the market and wager some money into his trade in the direction he feels the market will go, they could be right or wrong, when they’re wrong, their capital begins to depreciate until they get stopped out or liquidated base on the price they set for it. And when their analysis go right, they’ll be earning profit until it reaches where they set their take profits. The trading market can be operated manually or automatically depending on how you set it.

The most important difference between traders and investors is the length of time they hold their assets in a portfolio, usually traders tend to think about looking for profits in a short time, monitoring the market almost every day to look for buying opportunities with the aim of making profits in a short time, there are several types of traders (scalping, day trade, swing). In contrast to investors who look at the market only occasionally, usually only to see the price development of the coins they hold, investors are more active in fundamentals, more often monitor news and analyze its impact on the market, tend to look for opportunities only to buy in the long term, do not think about selling in a short time even though the coins they hold are accumulating profits, but they have their own targets and usually the target can be several times the current price.

If it is in other concepts aside bitcoin but the traders and investors can be classified as same thing, but in bitcoin they are categorized with anyone going for a long term plan where they buy, hold and sell after a long term are regarded as investors. This is correct. In terms of the terminologies, a bitcoin trader is totally different from a bitcoin investor, a trader is an individual who sinks in his/her funds into a trade for the purpose of engaging in short term buying and selling of digital assets thereby capitalizing on the market trends and fluctuations. When the bitcoin value is on the downside you sink in some funds into the coin either through spots trading or perpetuals trading whereas a bitcoin investor is an individual who invests certain capitals into a coin with the sole purpose of living it to grow over a long period of time. An investor holds a coin for a long term either in lump sum or through the DCA approach, where he puts an initial fund, then commit more funds at intervals allowing him to watch the portfolio's growth with the little funds at his disposal and whether it is worth it. From a layman's perspective, anyone who puts his money into a venture with the aim of making profit is an investor. Such person could be a short, medium or long term investor. If your benchmark for a Bitcoin investor is keeping Bitcoin for a long time then some miners are not investors. I assume that some miners immediately sell the coins they mined. I suppose that there are miners who are short term Bitcoin investors because they don't hodl mined coins for a long time.

Traders don't hold too long, as it only happens when the market suddenly dumps. Unlike investors, whose plan is really to hold after buying. Traders will often make their lives busy maximizing their time just to earn a few bucks every day. While investors make their lives easy and just wait for the perfect time to sell their coins. In general, they are entirely different. That is why people choose to become investors, especially if they don't have enough time to spend in the market and if they can dare to carry the high risk and pressure.

Traders can be also considered as investors because they take the risk in buying bitcoin. To buy is to somehow invest on it, because they also trust the potentials of bitcoin, it's just that the transaction is only made for short term.

However, when we talk about investors, they are mostly those who buy in dips and hold, and continue to accumulate and increase their portfolio through following DCA. They do it for long term, and only decide to sell portion of their coins when the price reaches a new all time high.

I honestly think it depends.

It depends if a person prefers short term or long term trading. I'm more of a long term trading guy and I prefer investing when it is done over a long period of time and the gains are compounded too. Short term trading have its place but inbmy experience, long term is more fitting for the "investment" term while trading is mostly concerned with shorter positions rather than swing ones.

I tend to agree with you, I don't think trading could be called investing, but rather speculating actually I would say, traders don't wait for long term return on investments but on instant profits or very fast ones at least. They don't care of what their orders can imply for the asset when they buy it or sell it masively, if it collapses because of that finally, it's none of their business, they just look for another asset to trade, and they apply the same strategies.

I don't think both of your description are correct. Let me start out by saying that an investor does not only buy Bitcoin on bear season and sell on bull season, rather an investor buys Bitcoin regularly wether bear or bull season with the following strategies DCA,, but the Dip and lump sum and all this has no specific Time. An investor buy and store or stack Bitcoin for long time use, having the purpose of accumulating a certain amount of Bitcoin before a certain period of time. While traders don't think if long time investment but rather they are after the little profit they will get within a short period of Time. So both of them have different sight when it comes to  profit. Eg. (Traders)= "short time profit" (investors)= "long time profit"

Simple is that....Traders are those people who used to make profit via in a short time period through the help of price fluctuations. While investors are those who HODL their Bitcoin for the long term to make a profit like it up to them how long they can hold it. Whether they can hold it for one bull cycle or a long time (5-10years). It depends on them, but to be honest, real investors are those who HODL their Bitcoin for the long term, a minimum of 5 to 10 years, because the more time you HODL, the more profit you will make. Now those who have hodl their for long time they will have more value gain in profit. Despite trading also organizing profit margins, but trading is more risky as compared to investment.

So both have profit margins, but in trading there is high profit along with high loss in short time while investment has zero risk with huge profit.

It's just the difference in terms of how long they hold it. Investors generally keep it for longer terms expecting a high price, so they don't really need to check the market almost every hour. Traders on the other hand, hold them for maybe as short as a few minutes to a few hours, constantly checking the market updates and looking if they can profit or not. It's an immediate profit vs a long-term profit comparison. Doesn't really matter when they buy imo and if you want to characterize it that way, in a sense that's what ALL people do, both investors and traders. They both want/try to buy low and sell high.

I reckon traders CAN be an investor since they might be able to see an asset perform much more in the long run (and it being stagnant at that point anyway, so no point in selling) though.

because it can be considered a solicitation or a form of unauthorized advice, which may violate regulatory rules and securities laws and also it can create a conflict of interest and potentially influence the investor's decisions, which may not be in their best interest..
