i also received the e-mail today and am very happy to have been selected as a tester
in my case, I found the e-mail in my spam folder...
the following steps are also listed in the e-mail:

Test flow:
(1)  We’ll send you some bitcoin so that you can make your test purchase.
(2)  Purchase Satori Coin ‘Chi’.
(3)  When the dummy arrives by DHL, immediately load your bitcoin onto it.
(4)  Redeem the loaded bitcoin out of  ‘Chi’.
(5)  Fill out a feedback survey about your experience.
(6)  Days later, we will send you enough bitcoin to purchase model Satori Coin ‘Gi’.
(7)  Purchase ‘Gi’.
(8 )  When the dummy arrives by DHL, immediately redeem the loaded balance.
(9)  Fill out a feedback survey about your ‘Gi’ experience.

the test sale schedule for the both models:
Chi: Sunday Apr 20th ~ Sunday Apr 27th, 2025 (8 days)

yesterday i received 0.001BTC on my wallet. after registering on the newly revised satoricoin.com site, i was able to order two Satori Chi coins
i was able to use the funds sent to me by satori for the order. during the ordering procedure i had to create a loading key kit, which contains further information (script for loading, customer escrow private key, ...)
my two Chi coins have the serials: 0000006 and 0000007
the shipment is supposed to take place in 4 weeks... the Gi coin test sale will then start on may 4th



the Gi coin consists of a 6-digit and the Chi coin of a 7-digit serial number

The funds for buying test coins came to me yesterday, but when I tried to visit webpage, there was still no webshop to buy test coins (tried to visit website this morning and also few minutes ago). Hope it will be functional next week as I probably not be available tomorrow.

iirc you were supposed to use the funds to buy one coin and then the rest to first fund it, then peel it and redeem it.  I believe this is what they wanted done - I could be wrong though.


I cannot even see the site ordering page    - so my guess is when they become openly available - that will also exclude the US - will be needing to find someone out of the US to order me for me I guess.

for me the 0.001 covered:
- purchase of 2 Chi-coins
- loading of 2 Chi-coins
- shipping costs

(import tax, if any, have to be paid by yourself but will be reimbursed according to their email)

what I'm wondering now ... whitelisted for Chi and Gi, now purchased 2 Chi-coins. money "spent". was it meant to be for 1 Chi-coin now and 1 Gi-coin at the later stage in May? 

the way i read it, you would get 2 disbursements - so if you got enough to buy and load 2 with the first one then they were for the Chi coins - the instructions said about getting a second disbursement later. Would love to buy the #10 once you are done with it!

i have just received a notification that my two chi coins have already been sent and will arrive on 24 april
i'm already looking forward to the design or whether the coins will be sent as blanks (as shown on the homepage)

The process isn't too complicated to follow, instructions are clear enough even for not-native English speakers

I decided to verify how time it was requiring FOR ALL STEPS (including reading the notes and so on). It tooks exactly 11 minutes and 42 seconds.
 
Few things to mention: I wasn't able to cover "dhl insurance" (since the amount in the greenaddress wasn't enough to cover it).
To avoid any mistake, and to provide the most precious feedback possible, I used greenaddress as suggested.
(OT this wallet has been launched by an Italian - Lawrence Nahum - that I had even the chance to meet during Bitcoin Meeting in Milano many years ago...)

I believe the Green app was just suggested as a sweep mechanism.  The only stipulation for the payment wallet was that it be self-custody & not exchange.  Maybe I'm wrong, but you shouldn't have been short on payment amount.
