I mean can the wallet simply change the address at the request of the owner with verification like the seed phase, of course? Then on the blockchain the new address will not show where the bitcoin came from and the old wallet will just show $0 balance without showing where the coins where sent to?
No there is no way that you can make a transaction without registering it on Blockchain and that's the beauty, every transaction is recorded on blockchain and one with basic knowledge can easily know this wallet send funds to which wallet but if you want to remain anonymous and don't want anyone to know to which wallet you are sending funds then you can use any obfuscating tool which will use coinjoin to mix your coins and the source will be hidden.

This is the only way to do this IMO.

So I've been doing a lot of reading on bitcoin privacy a lot lately, and I've got a question. I'm not sure if this is the right board for this, but I feel it is.

So let's assume an address has been made public and everybody knows who that address belongs to, can the owner decide to change that address and move his coins to another address without it showing on the bitcoin blockchain?
I mean can the wallet simply change the address at the request of the owner with verification like the seed phase, of course? Then on the blockchain the new address will not show where the bitcoin came from and the old wallet will just show $0 balance without showing where the coins where sent to?

You can use a mixer for that or send your funds to an exchange with no KYC. But unfortunately only funds will be moved and the initial address will never disappear. Moreover anyone will be able to see on the blockchain which addresses have send funds to this address and also to which adress funds have been sent. So if you don't want to leave traces on the blockchain you must be careful. Or you should use anonymous cryptos like Monero instead.

Read less and learn by practice. Download a wallet, buy bitcoin and start practicing what you are asking. That is the easiest way to learn.

So let's assume an address has been made public and everybody knows who that address belongs to, can the owner decide to change that address and move his coins to another address without it showing on the bitcoin blockchain?

"Changing the address and moving the coin to another address". The bitcoin is in the bitcoin network and displayed or shown in your wallet. So, bitcoin is not stored in the address. The address is just a means of transportation of bitcoin.

For your question, the Blockchain is transparent. If you want additional security, you make additional efforts for that.

For changing the wallet address, you can just use a SHW wallet like Electrum and select the change address option. However, this does not guarantee privacy though, because there's no way a Bitcoin is moved to another wallet address through the on-chain method that it won't show on the blockchain.
If you need total privacy, that prevents the connection between the old and new wallet where the BTC is moved to you'll need to use a privacy wallet or tumbler.

i get your point, what you are trying to say is that if you have two bitcoin address and one is known by many, and you received bitcoin to wallet A and you want send your coin from wallet A to wallet B without without trace on the blockchain that will it be possible right ? well there is no transaction made in the blockchain technology that is not store in the blockchain or public ledger. the only way you transaction can remain unidentified is by using mixer service. although i have not made any transaction using mixer but from discovery mixer is the only way to make a transaction untraceable.
Even with a mixer, your transaction can only not be traced back to where it came from, but the coins will be visible for public view on the blockchain. The OP question is just kind of complicated if you ask me, as if he is asking two different questions which require the use of coin control if he wants to spend bitcoin from one wallet which shares the same key with the existing one without spending from the other one and also emptying the old wallet without where the coin went to being traced. Both actions need to be carried out, and privacy maintained like the OP wants. He will need privacy tools to get that done, but they will be visible on the blockchain.

No, you can't do that. In the first place, there's nobody you can make a request to. If you custody your Bitcoin which was deposited to a certain address, nobody else but you who have complete control of your funds.

If you wish, you can mix your coins via a mixer or coinjoin, or you can trade them with privacy coins like Monero and swap them back to Bitcoin using an address you alone know.

But make no mistake, every time a transaction happens on the Bitcoin network, the blockchain indicates where the money is coming from and where it's going to. It can't just make funds disappear from an address without indicating where it's sent. If you really want this specific feature, you might consider moving to Monero or other privacy coins.

Yes, it can be done with a wallet that fully supports the silent payment technique. That means the wallet must be able to generate the silent payment address, send funds to that address, perform the privacy preserving scanning to detect incoming payments and finally receive funds from the silent address it originally generated. Sure, it must be able to spend from this address too. AFAIK, no wallet currently offers all of these features in one package. However, silent payments are virtually on everyone's lips, so I hope sooner or later someone will develop such wallet.
