OP specifically mentioned hackers, so that should be online attackers and not physical attackers like a $5 wrench attack. That being said, it is very, very difficult, and almost impossible for just anyone to get your exact address with only your IP address, so even if you are not using a VPN, you might never suffer a physical attack, but if you are using a VPN and your wallet is online, chances are higher that you might suffer an online attack.

I don’t think you understand the OP, he was also against the use of Vpn. Also, i do agree most antivirus are not strong enough to protect one’s PC from viruses and malware. I just hope newbies won’t fall victim of the misinformation because alot go on YouTube to find solutions and will automatically believe what they come across on there.

I doubt that NordVPN or any other VPN service can keep your wallet safe from getting hacked. A VPN service creates an encrypted connection on your device to a remote VPN server which can be chosen from different countries. While this may give your IP a different location from your original location, it does not guarantee any safety from your wallets getting hacked.

These YouTubers are trying to get monetized, some are paid adverts, not every information should be taken seriously. it can be helpful in a different aspect, but not exactly what is required for that exact complication.

One of the things common with these youtubers are the influential power they try to instigate what they advertise on users, if they don't use such words like that, you may not get attracted to want to give a try, but the truth remains that no any VPN can serves as a security measure to our cryptocurrency, vpn only works for when you're not not willing to let your ip address seen, so its more of useful for privacy purpose but this same privacy does not work with the wallet you make use of, learn more on privacy and recommended wallets for your security below.

Believe anything you see on YouTube at your own risk, it's very laughable to hear them YouTubers say that VPN can protect crypto investors from being hacked by scammers, that is a very big lie and I hope no one falls for that lie, YouTubers are influencers and they can say something to their audience if you pay them for it. It is possible that nordVPN paid them to advertise their products and them YouTubers are doing their job disregarding who it May affect, I know that VPN is only used for privacy, to change your exact location or address, to prevent your location from being tracked.

That's because what they care about is the paycheck, and they never care about spreading false information. Honestly, most of the social media content we see online now is fabrication content unless that were posted by influencers who have the reputation to protect.

No, it is not true. VPN and the security of your wallet have no connection unless the YouTuber was talking about using a VPN  with an SPV wallet. However, this doesn't protect the wallet from getting hacked either.
Meanwhile, antivirus alone is not enough to secure your PC from an attack. You need to set up your PC firewalls, use paid antivirus, and also add Malwarebytes. Never use an outdated app/wallet, never click on unusual prompts, and never install extensions from untrusted sources.

The internet is filled with information that aren't true especially YouTube, most of the videos are created based on search insights and of course when they notice that people seek privacy especially crypto users, they come up with words to tie in their videos towards to users viewing them hence promoting whatever that seem to be talking privacy even though it's not true.

Getting hacked is personal; it does not come from a VPN or other tools. It's our own actions that make us hackable. These misleading marketers need to take their lessons on how to be genuine in their endorsement of these tools. While people call it as a YouTube University but learners who rely a lot on it need to verify the information that they are fed with. Because if not, they'll grow to be misleading information that others who are knowledgeable than they might find it funny when they'd defend themselves from doing so. The best antivirus or protection that we can do for our wallets is to safe browsing and avoid downloading apps that are pirated and unofficial.

A lot of youtube channels promote VPNs even as a tool for privacy but if you look up the same VPN you will notice they are collecting the usage data of their own users and sometimes even more.  Many of them are paid too and all these youtube advertisements are for PAID products.  If you pay using your credit card then where is the privacy.

Who are you going to believe?  Believe who speaks the truth and factual information and take paid partnerships with a grain of salt.  Most of the time they are extremely biased and not in your true interest.

Who cares what Youtubers and Instagram influencers say. They are hookers who get paid to do and say what their clients want them to. A VPN isn't going to keep you safe from viruses and malware. Even anti-virus and anti-malware software can't always protect you. If you don't use common sense and think before you act, nothing and no one can keep your bitcoin safe. These are good wallets to keep your assets if you know how to do everything right, but they don't offer you any privacy like you say. If you want to be sure of your privacy as you use bitcoin, you have to run your own node, and also use tools like mixers. Just using a particular wallet cannot guarantee you privacy, there are other steps to take, do i also need to add that you should not reuse addresses.

Most hacks happen to crypto today is due to phishing, from exchanges to web wallets or even fake apps as well so VPN can't help you on these scenarios, you need knowledge to prevent those hacks to happen.

Feels like a waste considering they can easily sponsor a techtuber or somebody else for much better view numbers. But who am I to judge that.

I dislike misleading statements, although you can say they can technically be true. But it's so uncommon for people to connect VPN with avoiding a $5 wrench attack or something similar. On the other hand, it's not surprising, considering how marketing operates nowadays.

I was once an affiliate offered by 1-3 VPN companies, these companies will usually offer premium subscription of their VPNs for 1-2 years. Any additional cash payment usually depends on reach, like number of subs, views, engagement, etc. And they often give a higher %% commission per referral. Those smaller subs in these vids/channels are probably just offered premium subs while those with a bigger audience get both that and extra pay.
That said, a lot of these VPN promotions videos are often filled with misleading, which makes it hard to trust what’s being said.

It's time people are wise with who they follow and what they agree with. Lies live mostly on social media just for them to make money. If the weak targets fall for it, NordVPN will sell more by being mistaken for an antivirus and for doing its core work (VPN).
