I know that there is no rule in crypto that prohibits a project from copying a certain company name like tesla, let's say it is freely used, but that doesn't make the name of the copycat project safe, because it makes people suspicious and assume that the project is trying to profit from it. Tesla Coin Emission Update & Mainnet Launch Announcement

Hello everyone,

As we approach the mainnet launch of Tesla Coin on 10th May 2025 at 15:00 HRS UTC, we’re thrilled to share an important update. After careful consideration, we have slightly modified the Tesla Coin emission model from our previously announced plan.

This update has been made in the spirit of ensuring long-term sustainability of the network and to support Proof of Work mining indefinitely, without centralized control. Since Tesla Coin has no developer allocation, no premine, and no venture backing, it will forever remain a purely miner-owned chain — a rare foundation in today’s ecosystem.

Below are the updated emission model details:

Tesla Coin Emission Model (Updated)
   •   Consensus: Proof of Work (PoW)
   •   Initial Block Reward: 1280 coins/block
   •   Block Time: 12.5 seconds
   •   First Halving: At block 500,000 (~72 days after launch)
   •   Subsequent Halvings: At double the previous block range
   •   Final Reward Floor: 5 coins/block (no halving below this).

🚨 Important Update: Block Rewards Denomination

During mainnet deployment, it was discovered that block rewards contain two extra zeroes compared to our earlier test and announcement figures.

✅ Actual Block Rewards (Mainnet):

* 128,000 TESLA instead of 1,280
* 64,000 TESLA instead of 640
* … and so on, down to a final reward of 500 TESLA instead of 5

📌 Note: This change was accidental, but it has no impact on emission percentages or halving schedule.
The overall emission ratio remains unchanged.


🔍 Benefits of This Change:

* ✅ Gas fees will stay extremely low forever
* ✅ Easier accounting — fewer fractional digits, more people can hold clean, round amounts of TESLA
* ✅ Still fully aligned with the published emission model (just scaled 100x)


This minor change aligns with our ethos: accessible, fair, and miner-driven.
