I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching this project and didn’t want my efforts to go to waste. Maybe someone will find this information useful.
Everyone in their chat is hyping it up as a PQC blockchain, meaning their blockchain and cryptography are supposedly immune to the quantum threat. However, that’s not the case. This project was built to incentivize the development of quantum simulation. In other words, the idea is for mining power to be spent simulating solutions to quantum algorithms. It has absolutely nothing to do with quantum resistance.
I’m not saying it’s a scam or a fraud—not at all, the project is actually quite interesting. But when you buy QTC, you need to understand that if (or when) ECC is cracked, you will be hacked too. Given the transitional nature of the project, I honestly still don't understand its long-term function once actual quantum computers finally arrive.
I'm not sure which chat you are referring to but if it is the main Telegram, I haven't seen anyone really hyping this as a PQC blockchain, the only official reference to PQC was from an early team AMA which made clear that (stating the obvious) one day it will need to be PQC. You are right that they are trying to achieve SuperDense Consensus, ie a decentralized network that produces actual quantum fata output each time a block is mined - very cool if the team can pull it off.
Again, I haven't personally seen the Telegram members hyping it as a PQC project at all (genuinely speaking here)
