What will be your advice to someone with an interest in mining in 2025?

What advice can be given to a beginner? For example, Russia ranks 2nd in the world in mining.
Laws have appeared, the market is being formed and there are 2 ways to earn money: legal and illegal.
Legal mining has a very long payback period, and illegal mining has a lot of risks.
Mining has already become a very complex business and there is no place for a beginner without experience in this market.

From your experience and the present landscape of the mining horizon, what will be your genuine advice for someone interested in mining bitcoin, to abandon the interest or to continue?
Also, if you think that they could still benefit well, what tips can you give from the lessons you have learned?

By tips I mean information like, best mining equipment name and model to use, and then other hacks you discovered on your own.

I often get this question from friends who are new to crypto, especially Bitcoin. They usually ask how to get Bitcoin, and one of the things I tell them is by mining. However, when they are interested and want to do it, then I will tell them that for now it is still possible, but I have to ask the capital they want to spend to do mining, so that I can calculate mining income, and can also suggest whether to do solo mining or not. Even so, I will still motivate those who really want to do Bitcoin mining to keep doing it, on the grounds that the value of Bitcoin will grow in the long term.

Mining is not funny anymore, if you want to know how it works get a USB or small home miner and put it to test but if you want to make money from mining I don't want to be included because it's not like in the past anymore.

Today Bitcoin mining sucks so much that it will take a lot of money to start the project and it's no longer something someone can do on their own, electricity bill is now expensive and those miners are still needing high wattage to run.

If I were you I would prefer to buy Bitcoin and keep it, you don't even have to use every penny you plan to spend on Bitcoin mining farm on Bitcoin itself, it's less stressful to hold but running a mining farm comes with a lot of baggages.

Mining Bitcoin is now been left for groups or organisations with power and money, even the governments are more suited for Bitcoin mining now rather than one individual.
