Problem with phoenix wallet

I installed the phoenix wallet on my smartphone and the application was updated. I already used it without any problem but now when I want to open it the screen is all white. Has anyone had this problem?

I've not had such encounter with the phoenix wallet before. I do use it for little transactions and since then the app has been fine. Maybe the update isn't finished or something like your device storage or ram, try cleaning them up. If it still gives the white screen, I'll advice you uninstall and try to reinstall on your device maybe it was a problem with the update.

Are you sure that your internet is properly connected and the wallet have synchronized or still loading. I just opened my Phoenix wallet and everything is working perfectly. I can see my balance and the rest. You should check your internet connection and try again. You can also check if the app need an update so that you can update it.

There are many reasons to why something like that could happen firstly it's very possible that the app has a couple of bugs that is preventing it from loading up. To prevent this you can delete and reinstall the app or alternatively you can clear all user data and cache. Also are you sure your phone specs supports the app like RAM and processors though I doubt that would be the issue but it's worth checking too.

Yes I don't know, it happened after I sent sats to a friend. I checked my phone, everything is normal and I have a good connection. I hope I wrote down my seed somewhere

Yeah, all these might help, but it seems the OP has used/have been using the app before now, but it eventually started acting weird like he said. I'm not really sure of what the problem might be, but i have had experiences with wallet failing to respond, probably because I froze them for too long without allowing them to access the internet for that period.

So to the OP, after updating the app, did you actually froze it(i.e lock the app away from other apps) until you started facing this issue?. You might want to give it more time, or just follow what Mia said.

Well you don't have too much option than to uninstall and reinstall.. I don't  use it but make sure you do the needful before un-installing it .
Also, I hope you've seen the recent news about them terminating their operation with US customers, so if you're in the US you might want to empty your wallet before May 3rd.. My bad i didn't notice the date, it was a stale news.

You hope? Phoenix doesn't require you backup your seeds at first start, but that should be something you would have done long before now. Try and check if you did back up your seed somewhere before you take any of the actions I stated earlier, it would not be a good move if you didn't back up your wallet and end up reinstalling the app...you literally will lose your funds

That was may 3rd 2024. We are in 2025.

Also know that the wallet is available for download through their website. Some people may use Tor or VPN to operate it even from other countries.

The app was no more available on Android and Playstore but it is more like unrestrictable if you know what to do.

Yeah although it's very possible I believe the chances are really thin because you hardly find people using older OS like that. Basically as newer versions of OS become popular they tend to also be better integrated to adapt to softwares meaning if the OS can't at least optimise the software to run on your device then it will not allow you install the app most of the time.
Sometimes on newer OS softwares crash too just that it isn't as frequent as it was back in the days of the older eras of especially android versions and devices.

If you can find the seed phrase, it would be really nice since you can input your seed phrase in other wallets. I think aside this being a device compatibility issue, their wallet might have a bug but by contacting their support team this might be helpful but I advice you find your seed phrase first.

I haven't used this wallet before and this is the first time hearing about them. I did check playstore for customer review and saw a review about the wallet having a bug which was an issue different from yours but it shows there might also be a possibility of a bug affecting yours, although it has more good rating than the poor rating.

Not sure about the IOS but I am android user and app will be updated whether it is supported on the device or to and only show the error or blank screen when we try to open the app that is why turning off the auto updates can be good to especially when we use old devices and there is logical reason for that, crypto users doesn't want to keep crypto in their primary device that connects with various networks, so keeping in a secondary mobile that maybe like 3 or more years old can cause such issues.

Good that you have access to the wallet but make sure you backup your seed phrase. That phone was released 3 years ago and probably it can not update to the latest Android. It would be good if you get a better phone. There are many cheap Android phone with 8 gigabyte RAM now and better processors, running the latest Android. Also phones of nowadays have many years OS upgrades.

First you'd need to check your overall storage and be sure it has nothing to do with storage consumption or low space. If you have enough space then clearing cache and data before uninstalling and reinstalling the app with your seed is a better option.
