i think im pretty obsessed and i see why people call it culty.
i watch documentarys on youtube, watch movies when they come on streaming sites. buy books about it, buy bit coin merch , use it as much as i can to buy things, mine it on weak computers just for fun. play mobile games to earn a sat, check out forums, talk to people about it.

Being obsessed with something is not healthy as you might loose control of yourself and head towards the wrong direction, Bitcoin is worth being obsessed with but don't let it affect your mental health. I know really know the type of obsession you are talking about but I know I'm not obsessed with Bitcoin but I talk about it with my fellow Bitcoin investors and we share a few words of encouragement to each. I love Bitcoin especially because of its level of decentralization and its confidence level in the market. Many people see Bitcoin as an easy investment that would make you rich overnight so I don't really go around talking to people about it except my close friends and family, I was almost obsessed with Bitcoin when I was checking out the price almost every minute and it was affecting me so I had to stop and now I only look out for post that are related to Bitcoin in and off the forum.

If you are obsessed to Bitcoin, you can hold them which will give you very good profits after a long time. And if you are lucky and can buy Bitcoin at the right time, then you can also get quick profits. Bitcoin is an asset that the longer you can hold it, the more your profit amount will increase. If you think that you will buy and sell Bitcoin and try to be obsessed to Bitcoin, then this obsessed will make you lose a lot. To be obsessed to Bitcoin, you have to hold Bitcoin for a long time.

Some may be too obsessed with bitcoin that they end up putting theirs and others' lives in danger. This is when it becomes a problem. You might think it is impossible but some may want to steal and threaten others just to get some bitcoins. While I understand the desire to obtain more bitcoins. It is absolutely dangerous for anyone to be at that level of desperation. It could lead to legal consequences and of course you might just harm yourself in the process as well.

Bitcoin For me as a digital currency that is used for investment and trade, I do not want bitcoin to affect my brain until I depressed, Anxiety or overdoing excessive, surely I am not too obsession with Bitcoin, I consider normal, as they feel in general.

In my view Bitcoin is one of the assets like in general, but in digital form, not for excessive obsessed, I understand Bitcoin may be lost suddenly and appear suddenly, so it could be for me.

Knowing more about finances, it's something good as well. I don't understand why you've said that it's not good because bitcoin and finances are correlated to each other.

And so if someone wants to know more about bitcoin and even the technical aspects of it, in general that's good.

The same goes with finances because this is why many people are broke and that's because they're not knowing their finances very well.

Well it's a good obsession tho,
but in my own perspective this is an asset that gives you money and if your not careful takes money too, so I can't say I want to be obsessed with it, it'll certainly give you crazy mood swings for sure,
A period of time you can be obsessed with it then some other time you could be field with fear, greed, anxiety  e.t.c
I bet by that time the obsession will be eliminated lol.
 
But it's a different thing to be obsessed with something and to want to know more about something,
Me on the other hand I also like reading books, watching videos bout it and stuffs like that but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with it, I have the urge to know more about it and you can find it fun it's actually a good thing.
Come to think of it its a good idea to grow obsession for such but because it has to deal with money It shouldn't be too deep brh

I was obsessed with Bitcoin from the start, the obsession is a second level the first one that leads us to this obsession is our inquisition about Bitcoin and how this works, people are making money not by just trading, holding it, they are making money in many different ways from cryptocurrency.

I watched documentaries, read some books about finance and economics, listened to the podcasts, and everything you did except few and we all are obsessed with Bitcoin. But never let your obsession come in the trading session, otherwise you won't be able to sell when it is the time. You will hold onto your Bitcoins and you don't want to sell it, even if you need them the most.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that is gaining the interest of almost the whole world, both institutions and individuals are yearning to own bitcoin.

Yeah the best thing that can happen is for everyone to hold and hold and since Bitcoin is a long time investment so the easiers way to keep your self in business is to continue to buy and hold and try as much as possible to make profit and people are always saying by but people are over looking at the whole thing and are taking it foe a joke there are people that they are regretting now because they don't know the kind of opportunity they still have to buy and holding is also another challenge for people and if there is plans to hold then plans to have emergency funds and a source of income should also be put into consideration.

Firstly, it's becoming less centralized as people like Michael Saylor are buying it up, accumulating it into a single pool.
Secondly, the number of Bitcoins could ultimately exceed 21 million. A central fork is theoretically possible when the community decides the time is right, and I'm sure it will happen, crashing Bitcoin's price.

Bitcoin criticism is natural especially now that it’s matured into something much bigger than a small tech experiment the points you raised are fair but they look different when you zoom in on how the system actually works. Big buyers like Michael Saylor holding a large stash do create concentration but unlike an exchange where coins are custodial and could disappear in hacks or misuse saylor’s coins are still under private keys and traceable on-chain it’s centralization of ownership but not centralization of control because nobody else can move those coins unless he decides to it’s different from exchanges where millions of user deposits are sitting in one basket and subject to operational risk.

As for the 21 million cap that’s almost sacred in bitcoin culture technically yes the code could be changed but it would need near-universal consensus and the community has shown many times it values scarcity above everything the moment a fork tries to inflate supply it loses the one thing that makes bitcoin unique credibility and that’s why such a fork would likely collapse in value forks already happened with btc/bch and later bsv and each time the fork coin became weaker while btc held dominance. So while the idea of forking to increase supply is possible in theory in practice it goes against the very reason people choose bitcoin in the first place forks only survive if they add value without breaking core principles that’s why btc continues to lead and forks that ignore fundamentals fade into irrelevance.

I like Bitcoin and i have my investment but is getting obsessed with it really a good thing? I can see that you are pretty obsessed with Bitcoin but you got to be careful with who you tell about Bitcoin. Before you start going about telling everyone to invest in Bitcoin make sure you are telling them the disadvantages of it, we all know that Bitcoin is volatile natural and people that doesn't understand it think it's a way for them to get rich quick, I don't watch YouTube videos about Bitcoin because I have already done my research and while being obsessed with Bitcoin you should be careful not to expose yourself to scammers or criminals.

To me I won’t use the word obsessed rather I will say am a big fan of it , because I found it interesting learning about and same time investing in it , is not just all about you being obsessed or knowing about it is about you being part of it , by having some of it in you wallet . So as you focus on gaining more knowledge about bitcoin at same time try finding means to accumulate some stash of it .

That’s even more of a burden than the loss itself, having to have advised someone to invest and they get to lost it all after a while. You get the feeling to have lead them wrong even with the fact that, they would have taken decisions that went against any wise counsel.
The path to discovery should be having to introduce them and they get to pick interest of their own accord as well as investing just when they feel they are ready or is wise.

This is a curious thread.
Obsessed means that you can't stop doing something. With Bitcoin what happens to me is that I want to talk about it a lot. If this is considered an obsession then I am obsessed, but normally obsessions have a negative sense, whereas Bitcoin is only positive in my humble opinion.

I don't know if I am the only person who thinks that the term 'obsession' is a very strong word to begin with. Even though I might be a very curious and potential bitcoin investor, hence why I joined this forum, I wouldn't say I am obsessed with bitcoin when according to my understanding one has to actually invest their hard-earned money into buying it, hold it for so long while trying to be extremely careful and secure from hacks and scams and thieves.
