I am planning to organize a group of environment-loving Bitcoiners, and may spend 1 BTC each for buying up the forest. For $10,000, we can acquire 60 to 100 hectares of forest or recently destroyed forest in the Brazilian Amazon. If there are 100 people joining, then we can set up a private wildlife refuge with 6,000 ha. to 10,000 ha. in area. The maintenance can be covered with tourism. 

At the current Amazonian deforestation rate of 2,000,000 hectares / year, we need to be quick.

this is a good idea i can contribute even if i cant come with you all
this will also can save all the endangered spiecies and also to protect and preserve nature

and when the BTC will become that high im planning to establish a shelter for dogs

Well... in countries like Brazil, large chunks of rain forest are owned by private companies or individuals.
