You shouldn't use money for your basic needs to buy bitcoin and start starving yourself or endanger your health.
It's sad that there are others do this. Personally, I've sacrificed some things that I need and want just to buy Bitcoin before. It's worth it in my end but I haven't come to that thought that I'll sacrifice something to eat and food for the table of my family just to buy Bitcoin. Maybe for some other things that are fine to delay with and the budget for that can be used temporarily for buying bitcoin. The basic needs are important but we have to assess if we are fine doing so. Because if it's too much, the blame could be into Bitcoin when we try to sacrifice and yet we compromise the other things we need just for the sake of it. That will make look like Bitcoin is an evil if that happens per se.

Every Bitcoin user should have their own strategy, whether newbies or experienced users. Without proper planning and risk management, no one should invest in Bitcoin. Those are new to Bitcoin investment; they have to learn about Bitcoin and how it does work. It's not like you invest and get profits after a few hours. I always encourage accumulating Bitcoin from your savings; just consider you are saving it for your future.

DCA would better strategy for newbies, but it should depend on your financial stability. If your income is higher, then the plan would be different. Everything actually depends on our regular income. We shouldn't think that we will live from Bitcoin profits right after investment. Rather, we have to know the risk of the investment, and it could dump time. During that time you must need to survive without any panics. So DCA, and from savings, you must need to make your strategy.

Normally. As an investor, planning is very important; one must use part of their money to invest in bitcoin. Using all the money you earned is not advisable because that will result in a loss after holding for some period of time since you invested all the money you earned. That is why it is better to invest part of the money you earn in bitcoin and use the rest to meet your needs so that you will HODL the bitcoin for a long time.

Sure, investors must think carefully before investing. Though it is a wise decision to invest money for the future because there is no assurance that our source of income will last forever, it is only a matter of time. However, if someone invests all of their funds in Bitcoin, they will lose the money since they will not have enough money to deal with emergencies. If they fail to save money to meet other needs, they will have to spend some of the Bitcoin they hold.

Quote
Over aggressive buying means buying bitcoin with money that is not your discretionary income. Only invest with the amount of money that you can afford to lose.

What are your thoughts on this

When you said aggressive buying of bitcoin, I thought you would understand much better for beginners to understand. However, what I understand by aggressive buying of bitcoin is when someone continues pressuring themself just because they want to buy bitcoin. They are pressuring themself; they want to invest by any means, which makes it compulsory for them, which is not right.

I agree with you, over aggressive buying is when someone push themselves to buy Bitcoin to be able to be part of the journey with others, even if they do not have the money to do so, and they do it with too much force, perhaps selling property that does not belong to them.

This is not the definition of aggressive buying. Strategy is buying aggressively, but it doesn't mean that they are starving to buy it. Aggressive buying of bitcoin is encouraged for those who can afford it. There are people who has alot of money but they are reluctant to buy bitcoin or they procrastinate when it comes to bitcoin investment. Those guys are not aggressive in buying bitcoin. For someone to buy aggressively, they have money to invest. I advise you to revisit your concept of aggressive buying of bitcoin. You buy aggressively when you envisage that there is greater opportunities ahead.
The OP is mentioning that it's irresponsible to purchase Bitcoin when your available income doesn't allow it, hence the reason why the OP claims it as "aggresive" buying. I don't believe it's the wrong term, perhaps there better choices, but what's being mentioned here is basic advice. You shouldn't rush and put all eggs in one basket by going all-in on Bitcoin just because you consider it'll alter your financial situation. The OP is focusing on a completely different target group than you are.

I think you should understand the topic. I didn't just say aggressively, I wrote over-aggressively and I believe that means when you are buying more than the capacity of your discretionary income. Aggressive buying is encouraged because it makes you accumulate bitcoin in a fast pace and you don't do it outside your discretionary income.

This is to all newbies who wants to start their bitcoin long-term investment. It's good that you figure out how much you can use from your extra cash to invest in bitcoin from your income. This will enable you buy whenever you have received your income using DCA strategy. You shouldn't use money for your basic needs to buy bitcoin and start starving yourself or endanger your health. If you do that, you are only punishing yourself and gambling with your health because you will finally sell the bitcoin that you bought when you can no longer cope with the punishment.
Most newbies investing in bitcoin don’t really know what it’s all about, some of them see people investing in bitcoin, and. They decide to jump into bitcoin investment also. People that really understand bitcoin investment knows the kind of money which is suppose to be invested in bitcoin, the money which is meant for daily needs shouldn’t be invested in bitcoin, if you decide to invest that kind of money into bitcoin, then with time you won’t have choice than to sell the bitcoin, and it might be at loss.

Just because you see people investing in bitcoin, that doesn’t mean you should also be in rush to invest in bitcoin, if you don’t have much money to invest, then just invest the little you having, and make sure you keeping some money for your daily needs, you are not suppose to invest the money you will be needing for your daily activities.

Newbie or not, it’s always smart not to go all-in.

Yes, Bitcoin is a great investment but it still comes with risk. That’s why the golden rule still applies: only invest what you can afford to lose.

Don’t just buy blindly. A lot of newbies get caught up in the FOMO during a bull run. Sure, they pick the right crypto but because they don’t fully understand how the market works, they panic when FUD hits.

It’s a classic cycle: FOMO in, FUD out.

There is no point trying to prove overly enthusiastic about bitcoin when you're endangering yourself, in as much as people still have the FOMO It's also important to consider the risk in investing in bitcoin and make your investment from your discretionary funds. Besides newbies still have a lot to deal with especially in controlling their emotions, the DCA strategy is my favorite because it allows you to make small investment which looks insignificant but in the long run it will amount to a significant value if you keep accumulating without making withdrawals or selling off your investment.  One of the mistakes most newbies make is trying to rush themselves into the market and when price changes direction downward, they tend to panic and sell because their start up is a lump sum and they are experiencing loss at that time.

Using money meant for one's basic needs doesn't mean one's endangering one's wealth. Nah, it doesn't equate that. What it simply could mean would be that one would cut down on one's extravagance. But of course, that's how people get to save up money. If we don't control our level of extravagance, we're bound to spend to meant up with our insatiable nature as humans. So, I don't see it as tampering with one's health; except one had a health challenge already.

Investment in Bitcoin is the safest of all in this industry. The shortcomings are only if one were buying on FOMO and that would mean buying on high. Even buying on high doesn't mean loss when price dips. It only means that such an investor who bought that high would've to wait some more time to recoup their invested capital and then their profit.

Only invest with the amount of money that you can afford to lose.
I agree with this "Only invest with the amount of money that you can afford to lose."

That suggestion will not just for newbie but for those who want to invest in Bitcoin. You need to determine how much money you can use while you should not use the money for buying your basic needs to buy Bitcoin.

It is why we must calculate and know all basic needs we have so we know how much money we have. From that calculation, we can think how much free money we can use to invest in Bitcoin. Best of all, we will not get in a trouble because we can allocate the money in the right things.

If everything is set, you can start buying Bitcoin. With the DCA method, you will constantly accumulate Bitcoin until the time to sell your Bitcoin come.

Using money meant for basic need to invest in to bitcoin can be described as gambling because definitely such person will out his bitcoin in a short while because he/she wasn't investing from their discretionary income, outside investing from your discretionary income can be very risky because sure person will sell out too soon and can even sell lost because he sold when he wasn't expected to sell.
Before some one will go into investing in bitcoin knowing that bitcoin investment is not like other investment where people buy and sell,

Growth is not meant to be forced but is meant to be gradually done, so since there will be a problem of need if there is no money, the person should not use all they have because is better managing if there is small but impossible managing if there is non available unless the person is that fortunate to have gotten a help within that time of unbearable condition, sometimes people invest that because they don't have any current work for the money or that if something should happen is going to be a long time but unfortunately things can change without their knowing so is better ready than predicting.

But sometimes you might still prefer to go all-in on Bitcoin rather than buying some meme coins that do not have any growth potentials. Sometimes, it is better to put head in one bowl, where there's more assurance than putting your head on two or more baskets. Bitcoin is still experiencing that volatility in price in the market but not as worse in terms of dipping and shortfalls like those meme coins which can rise and fall significantly under seconds or minutes.

So, while we advise the newbies to not invest their entire capitals to bitcoin, we also advise them to not invest in other meme coins aimlessly or without enough knowledge of its growth potential as an alternative, it is better they save the rest of their funds into their savings or better still invest in other platforms like buying stocks or real estate since these options are more guaranteed. Then gradually, such newbies can grow up their portfolios slowly but steadily.

Bitcoin investment should be done with ease by using only your discretionary income to invest gradually, that will relieve you from financial stress, and enable you to control your emotions when there is a dip in price to achieve your long-term goal. If you prevent yourself from living a normal life, and go to a lower standard of life, you can die before your time.

Over aggressive buying means buying bitcoin with money that is not your discretionary income. Only invest with the amount of money that you can afford to lose.

What are your thoughts on this

So you mean like buying bitcoin using all of your cash or income generated? Well if that's the case then I guess you are provably face hardships with that matter and any financial issues will came will make our investment fail since there's good chance for us to sell our holdings.

But if the situation is you are aggressive upon buying since you have lots of funds to use I guess there's no problem on engaging with it on competitive manner. But also we must put in our minds that we are not dealing with anything like thinking about we are in competition since no one rush us to buy Bitcoin. So think about using the funds you are capable to let go since as long as you are accumulating for long term I guess we are fine with it.

My understanding of aggressive buying is when somebody wants to buy a volatile asset or something that the price can change at anytime and they want to risk their money to buy at once, not considering whether the price is too high. Aggressive buying should be for short term and the buyer is willing to sell at a short time for quick profits. What you are talking about should be bankroll management for newbies who don't have adequate knowledge about Bitcoin investment. I agree with you that buying Bitcoin should be from your discretionary funds because it is an asset that is best to hold on the long term, selling it prematurely can be a loss. The best strategy for Bitcoin investment is DCA method, especially for fixed income earners, have a budget and buy from the allocation into your discretionary funds.

Op is still right with his explanation of aggressive buying. Buying aggressively simply means buying more coins for more future profit without minding the risk involved. It doesn't matter whether you intend to hold for short term or long term, what matters is accumulating more coins as soon as possible.

Aggressive buying, investment or whatever we call it is not a bad approach to accumulate bitcoin as long as you know what you are doing and comfortable with the risk involved. It becomes bad when you do it and it affects your lifestyle. Aggressive buying is only suitable for people who have enough money and not people struggling to meet up.

Yea, buying aggressively is not entirely bad. Anyone who can buy bitcoins aggressively obviously can afford it. It is only a matter of concern for newbies becomes we all assume they are new to the system, they have zero experience and may not really have that capacity to handle their emotions if the price of bitcoin begins to dip. That is why I agree with op that newbies should start small, at least to test what they are investing in before going all in massively.

Well, this may not be applicable to all newbies. Some newbies are really risks takers even more than some experienced investors we have. Some of them have spent months studying how Bitcoin works and how to manage risks. If these kinds of newbies decide to buy aggressively, hodl for a very long period of time and face other aspects of their lives without thinking much about their investments, trust me, they are good to go.

Investment goals differ, same also the strategy used to achieve that goal. All newbies are not thesame in terms of reasoning.

If the income is only to fulfill the basic needs of life then do not invest first then this can be a financial pressure because it is too imposing from your inability to do so.

Investing must be calm and calculated and in long-term planning.

If your income is still stuck then you need to improve your skills to be able to earn additional income which allows you to invest gradually and not disturb your basic basic salary.
Invest small first, if you already have more income then investing at an aggressive level will not be a problem.

As a newbie to Bitcoin, if you don't have solid knowledge about Bitcoin investment you shouldn't invest in bitcoin aggressively because you need to understand how the market move and the strategy that will be good for your investment. However DCA method is kind of the easy way to invest on Bitcoin without any much stree because you use from your discretionary income to invest on it.

This is not only for newbies, but for the rest of the bitcoin investors out there. Don’t be greedy and aggressive, it will only lead to bigger losses in the end. Just invest on a small amount, until you keep DCAing regularly and see your investment grows in time.

Invest not because you believe that bitcoin is a get-rich-quick, but invest because you know the potentials of bitcoin in the long term. Buy and hold patiently, until you get amazed how far you have save bitcoin in your portfolio.

What are your thoughts on this

You’re right and bitcoin should only be invested into with the money we would not touch after investing in it. Many make mistakes to use money used for other purposes to invest in bitcoin hoping that within a short designated time, they will make the money back and pay their debts. Unfortunately, the market does not work in that manner and requires that you invest for a long time before you can make significant amount of profit from your investment. A lot may push you to want to buy bitcoin when the price is low but when you’re unable to do that, you should not borrow money to invest. Opportunities in investment in bitcoin never cease to exist, so you can take your time and invest another time when you’re financially capable and using your discretionary income.

What are your thoughts on this

Discretionary funds is always the idea but, I don’t see anything much in buying aggressively. I don’t think people would be that dumb to buy Bitcoin with money that is meant for their health or even feeding to buy Bitcoin. You need to be healthy to enjoy your investment and if you don’t have food to it, what’s the point in investing.

However, having your invest with money you can’t afford to loose if seen as aggressive form to investment or it isn’t your spare cash, I believe you are still good. In the worst case scenario, you could still cash it out in it’s equivalent but then, you wouldn’t lose your money.
