On the link it is said that people dragged the man which could mean bad comments about the man from the people. I hope some people are not foolish to listen to the man and bet on Barcelona.

No where in the Bible they says God will tell his men to see which club will qualify or not. Also no where in the Bible that talks about betting. If you do not bet, you will not talk bad of the man.

But I do not expect a Bishop to talk about football because it is linked to betting as betting sites are very common everywhere. It is better to talk about what is useful for the church members and not football.

I wonder why a preacher would try to predict football outcomes and claims that it's from God. And the upsetting part of the whole thing is that people still listened to him and applauded, imagine how they would feel afterwards when they find out that the prophecy was just a joke. This man is a charlatan, because he is mixing religious affairs with gambling predictions. He is wrongly using the religion (considering himself a prophet) to boost his personal reputation as a tipster. Can you see how absurd it is? If we take the history of religions into consideration, we are going to see historical prophets never used their gifts to give accurate results on gambling events to people around.

Rather, they were too busy enlightining people on how to behave and on what to expect from the future, so they could protect themselves against the evil, staying by the side of God, having good practices for their lives. All those who claim to be prophets, while not following the same guidelines of historical prophets are actually false prophets.

Anyway, it's not a surprise for anyone, because it has been always told false prophets would appear in the world. Since the ancient times they have been around, trying to deceive people, subverting the principles and values of God.

But I really find it strange for someone to believe on this especially that no one could predict the possible outcome, also its crazy to think that a preacher would do that and that means that person is active in betting on that sports which is not good to look forward. So better for people to think about what they are going thru and I'd better do my own analysis rather than letting my self getting fooled by those  preacher or fake prophets posting fake prediction.

Social media is on fire as a self acclaimed prophet from Nigeria  Bishop Papa Frank Lloyd of the Light Bearer International Ministries  predicted on the semi finals of the champions League games and according to him he see Barcelona and PSG going to the finals and eventually Barcelona will win it.

That's what happens when people think they can ride with the tide and sweep everyone's focus on whatever they got going on.... Could be their wildest imaginations playing with them, then they drage you into their stupidity.

It's crazy that people believed him -- Oh no that's not all, what's even more crazy is the fact that Barcelona, in their current form, along with his expectations lost the match and were evicted in the semi finals..

He's a bishop and it's clear that he's a man of God based on how people look at him.

A Bishop is a job title, that does not necessarily make him a man of God.

That's different if someone thinks of it as a job, it's not really a job when someone gets into this. But it is a calling. And if that's what you think, that's fine and I respect that.

The way that people look at him is also not really important, otherwise many cults have man men of God.

I can't argue with that. There's really a lot of religions today and they teach what's in the bible and that's good. But if it's about following the teachings and living with it, that's when many can't follow.

That was no prophecy, and that man is nothing but a con artist, period! You know that thing we all normally did when we were much younger? Making predictions about the nearest future -- like what the next 4 hours would look like, from what the reality currently is? That's it.

PSG has been on a dauntless this season and everybody knows that. Arsenal was no match for them and even I predicted the same thing that yielded exactly the same results -- So, does that make me a prophet of the future??  Y'all believe things way too easily. The truth is that most people are always blind when it comes to religion. They listen to what the prophet or priest says and do not question to what extent what they are hearing makes sense or is acceptable. For example, there are churches where the priest tells

his believers that gambling was created by the devil and the believers do not take the time to ask themselves when the devil sat down at a computer to code those games. That is why I am not surprised by this news. In fact, I have been hearing this type of news constantly here in my country.

A man of God shouldn't be focused with these activities but instead does the work of an evangelist  and ministries [2 Timothy 4:5]. And us, being gamblers, we know that others predictions could help our bets but we shouldn't rely on them at most times. Always take care of your money and so as your bets. No one need to blame for this but ourselves if we're the one who placed the bets but we did listened to someone else to bet that money. If we gamble, we have to make sure that there is no other person that's involved on it but us.

I agree with you, a man of God should focus on ministry work than match prediction hence there is connection between gambling and religion. Infact religious people frawn dearly at gamblers. So making pronouncement about the club to win is indirectly associating with the world and may ruin his ministry. The problem is that most of this men are not real men of God but they hide under the shadow of Christianity and tarnish the image of God. As far as I know God is not an author of confusion or God is not a lier so making a false declaration in the name of God is blasphemy. So my opinion is that people should avoid prediction from this men that forced themselves to be pastors and do what pleases you.

Over the years many prophets have failed in their predictions, in sports, politics and many areas of people's private lives. Frankly I don't take the prophesy of these prophets seriously because they're all scams, if it comes to pass then it's just a coincidence and they'll take the glory for it. I hope that people who still believe that a prophet or a mystical power will reveal the outcome of games are deceiving themselves, what they need is luck. Perhaps there are genuine prophets somewhere but the many fake ones will not let us to know them.

Some group of different people decide to wake up one day and start prophecies on the crypto price actions, saying God told them to pass this message to people and that they will be rich if they do.

Another day to remind those who believe and link what their religion teacher proclaims to gambling that they should reduce their expectations. It's not bad to believe in the teaching of your teacher, but there should be a limit to what a religious teacher should share with his followers. If all his predictions ended up the way he predicted them, he could have gained enough new followers to his church, but now all he will end up getting is mockery, which he could have avoided if his mouth was not a loud one.

You know, this incident also reminds me of a pastor that also did this kind of thing years back but it was not for betting but rather the prophecy was that Bitcoin price will surge high, I created a thread about it. Some people are easily deceived by this kind of statement, especially if it came from a pastor that they respect so much, they just feel that everything works by believing meanwhile it doesn't. If I was a member in that church, I would have questioned the pastor why he chooses to deceive people.

I recall that your thread about it correctly Bitcoin and Prophecy And there are many more of such stories on the internet; people don't know the limit to which they can just stop believing and entrusting their all to a state or someone who is also human like that and can make mistakes just like them.

There should be a limit to things; they just don't get it. It's not as if it's bad to talk about all those things like religious leaders, but you don't drop protections as if you hold the power to control the outcome of that event. That's ridiculous to even think of it.

I think you mean to say prediction. This particular story did not surprise me because I have read some things similar to this incident and like you said, there are many stories like that online. I do wonder if truly is God tells them to make those kinds of prophecy or it's just their instinct that tells them to say so, so that if peradventure those false prophecy coincidentally happen, those people that took the prophecy very serious will then reward the pastor. Those pastors failed to understand that their name will be rubbed on the ground if they mislead people with those fake prophecies.

What makes me laugh is that not only do they dare to claim to be "prophets" but they involve themselves in making sports predictions which is not really encouraged in their religious teachings. I mean, I don't really care what they spread, but they have misled the people who trust them by making sports predictions as if to prove that they really have supernatural powers to predict something. When it comes to predicting in an event like a champions League game, there's no edge that a religious person has over the regular person that's just his analysis and then drawing his conclusion from that analysis.

At several times most expecially during continental games, there are usually cases where some prophet assume that they have the ability of making an accurate forecast because of some supposed supernatural power they possess. In reality, those kind of thing doesn't work. Gambling is gambling, if you're not good at making prediction you're not good and there's nothing you can do about it. That you're a prophet doesn't mean you have any edge . A lot of prophet have tried in the past but at the end, all gamblers have just luck or the ability of doing analysis as the only way of winning. If you're using any mythical means or some strange means, it won't work around all.
