I just noticed I've discovered 4 blocks for slush's pool, 3 in the last week. I seem to be speeding up:

Weeks 1-4 = no blocks
Weeks 5-8 = 1 block
Week 9 = 3 blocks

Better watch out! Soon, I'll mine so fast I have to start rehashing the entire blockchain just for something to do!

Also, I'm sure going from CPU mining to GPU had nothing to do with this.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The word "troll" does not mean what you think it means.

On the internet, a troll is a person who posts something inflammatory merely to get a rise out of the audience.

You think a troll means "anyone who disagrees with bobR".

If what you express here is your true personality, and you don't post stupid shit just for kicks, well... I feel sorry for you, and you're not a troll. However, if act the way you act for fun because you enjoy seeing the way people react to your stupidity, then I was correct and you are a troll.

Do you see the difference?

Bobr,

I've just been reading through your post history, and I can count the number of posts that were directly relevant to the topic in question as being about 20 total.  The rest are you either engaging a flame war, continuing one, or simply being rude.  Why are you here?  Do you enjoy hijacking threads?  Is this what makes you happy?  I, for one, do not enjoy spending my online freetime deleting flamebait.

BTW, I've had to spend time reading the histories of others in this thread as well, and you seem to be a common denominator.  If I wrong about this, show me; but until counter evidence is presented I will assume that if it walk like a duck and quacks, that it is a duck.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

This statement is actually true.  Geck's (or anyone's) chances of finding a block are independent of the other miners in slush's pool.

That's why I was so excited. Lil' ol' me found 4 blocks that helped others out. They've been finding blocks that helped me out, so I'm glad I can return the favor.

Of course, due to probability, I'll probably go quite some time before finding another block now.
