ipl is going to be called off me thinks

last night match betwixt punjab and delhi was originally going to be held in punjab

but due to security risks the venue was changed to dharamshala

and although dhramshala is very far from any pak/india border

the blackout was called when pak started attacking indian cities near the border

the bcci cited that it was lighting technical issue  

but i think it was due to safety reasons

a big glowing ground during dark of night with full of ppl is easy to target

and therefore i think this season ipl might get cancelled  

because pak has already moved their psl to uae

so we can't do that like we did during corona

Clearly it was due to ongoing conflict and nothing wrong with that. Life is more important, guess all matches in North India should be cancelled and reschedule in south. You can't afford to take a risk for cheap thrill and money.

I won't even mind if they shift everything to somewhere else or hit a pause button for a week.

Logically speaking, all part of India's borders are not safe at the moment. Attacks can happen from the East (we know our neighbors there), South as well, though water routes are well guarded but 26/11 did not happen just like that.

At this point of time, games are other stuff need to be put on hold in my opinion, obviously the business-people here dont like that, will Ambani have to bet on non-fixed international matches then?

^^ BCCI got deep pockets so they could go anywhere but imo they paused it out of respect to arm forces and on going situation. Entertainment is not a priority atm for anyone.

Pakistan Army trying hard to hit our military bases but so far virtually no success. I'd say so far they have failed royally to penetrate our AD system so they are going after civilian infrastructure, including religious places and residential areas with swarm of kamikaze Drones and missiles in border states, it's has been happening non stop every night for last 2 days.

Well, it depends on what are you hearing. If you are hearing dogfights between IAF and PAF and casualties then no concrete evidence of loss and its just hearsay and psyops from both sides. There might be some truth to it but it's on going- developing situation and no one has any solid evidence.

But if you are hearing our forces playing with their AD system, which is chinese based then its 100% true. We are going deep inside pakistan at will and hitting their valuable targets like terrorist camps (first strike), airbases and launchpad(recent strike last night- third-). For example we went deep inside lahore and destroyed their AD radars (second strike).

I think they will respect the 1week pause on IPL and they should too, knowing our neighbors childish habits, they tend to attack randomly and then claim they never did that.

Regarding IPL, heard some players already went home. They won't be happy to return on short notice because of jetlag and it's hard to be match ready.

overall i am in profit on it

here's what i do, i make 5-10 teams

different strategies for different teams of course

and i join 2 contests with every team

1 contest is grand league where u get ur buy-in back if ur team played not too badly

and the other contest is u either get nothing or u get 4x

and at the end of the match i mostly break even or little loss or little profit

and maybe 1 day i'll win the grand league

I was only checking that what's this fuss is all about because mere baba aur sasur ji chipke rehte hai roj ushme. One thing is certain it's cheap thrill for sure if you are playing for fun and winning big is bonus.

Honestly it feels like there’s more going on than just a technical issue. Safety obviously seems like a plausible justification for that unexpected darkness. If tensions keep growing I wouldn't be shocked if the IPL does get halted or moved but unlike PSL relocating IPL isn’t that straightforward given the scale. Let’s just hope things calm down since it would be a great disappointment if the season gets cancelled.

I mean schedule is out and KKR vs RCB is indeed the first one. PBKS vs DC is rescheduled on 24th May, and fwiw they have scrapped of earlier incomplete match from IPL website completely, so doubt it's going to be a resume (bad for PBKS cause they had such a good start).

Regarding who's returning, who's not, there are plenty speculations, and nothing concrete so we'll just see on match day itself.
