I also heard that donations/payments in BTC and crypto to Ruble accounts is only available for US accounts currently.
I still haven't verified my phone number to enable the live streaming feature and confirm whether it's limited to the US accounts or not, but as a Filipino user, I had no issue activating the tipping jar option [screenshot].

So apparently you need a rumble account to use it at all.
Yes, this is more suitable for content creators who'd like to make a switch from YouTube or other popular platforms that don't allow them to earn in bitcoin and a few other cryptocurrencies.

But their "Tip Jar" though, it generates a bech32 address that I can't find the correct derivation path. (not 2nd account, not internal chain nor name as passphrase)
...
-edit-
Found it, it's at the same derivation path as the receiving address but it's the 11th address (index 10).
Thank you for finding the solution, but I'm wondering how you were able to generate a separate address for your tip jar?
- I can't figure out how to do it from their wallet (it keeps showing the same address as the main one).

Nothing special,
After I entered my test wallet's dummy "Legal Name" to enable the tip jar, I proceeded with the next steps.
Then the displayed address if I select "(Wallet Name) Tip Jar->Bitcoin" is different from when I select "(Wallet Name)->Bitcoin " as recipient.

For those who installed Rumble wallet, can you say what coins are supported other than Bitcoin?
I see they claim there is USDT and XAUT, but they didn't specify on what blockchain.

So apparently you need a rumble account to use it at all.
I took a 12 word seed that I use for testing and when I entered it it popped a message about no backup found and failed.
Also there is a warning about not entering a seed phrase from another wallet only use one created by Rumble Wallet.
Maybe they are using their own custom recovery method instead of standard that is used for most bitcoin wallets.
I tried downloading the app for testing, but for some reason it didn't work.

I see they claim there is USDT and XAUT, but they didn't specify on what blockchain.
They support multiple networks.
After selecting USDT, you'll be presented with options to select your preferred network. Namely: Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum.

And unlike some custodial wallets or exchange, your address is the same across those networks.

I'm not sure why "Coinbase" specifically? because the Coinbase non-custodial wallet is not really that great to start with and it's mainly focused on alts... but he might be referring to the exchange?
They're developing a self-custodial wallet, so they must be competing with Coinbase Wallet App.
Not because it's good, but because it has their target market.
It's about the mainstream and not us, the minority.

Slightly incorrect. They are competing against Coinbase proper. Average Americans aren't using self-custodial wallets (!!!), they are putting all their coins on the Coinbase site.

It looks like everyone is smelling blood in the US crypto exchange market, and they all want a piece of it. That's why they're willing to jump through all these hoops to create US versions of their sites when their main sites get banned.

I had no luck finding a dedicated Git repository or an official statement for Rumble, but considering that they're building it with the "Tether's WDK", perhaps there's a chance they might release the source code in the future.

Slightly incorrect. They are competing against Coinbase proper. Average Americans aren't using self-custodial wallets (!!!), they are putting all their coins on the Coinbase site.
The tweet (on X) shouldn't specifically mention that they're aiming to be the "most prominent self-custodial wallet" if it's against Coinbase.
They've created a self-custodial wallet to go against another self-custodial wallet, so, Coinbase Exchange userbase no matter how bigger it is than "Base Wallet" isn't their main objective.

Could not get it to work so I didn't look that hard.
So far they didn't release source code and they didn't mention anything about it on their website, so it's safe to assume it's closed source.
I personally prefer to use open source wallets, but I can understand why platforms like Rumble don't release it as open source.
I guess we can just import/export keys and use any other wallet of our choice.

So the wallet has been released earlier today[1][2]. I still have not tried yet, but by looking at the screenshots at the app store, I'm not expecting much, nor do I think it would be popular outside of Rumble's original userbase (content creators/viewers)

This is a major milestone. While Youtube, which practically holds a natural monopoly on videos and streaming, is stagnant, with little change, especially for content creators, platforms like Rumble are innovating by making the environment more user-friendly and eliminating intermediaries. Today, you depend on Youtube to pay you, and that payment can be confiscated, Youtube keeps a large portion of the profits, etc.

It's a shame that Rumble isn't as famous as Youtube, and people only remember alternatives when they are being censored or financially harmed...

The world is gradually moving towards increasingly semi-decentralized or tokenized services. Centralized services like Youtube can be shut down at any moment, all it takes is for a dictatorial country to ban Youtube. We need services and the internet itself to be structured around Bitcoin technology (tokenization, P2P, etc.), and we are gradually moving in that direction as people discover Bitcoin and other decentralized technologies.

It’s not clear to me whether it’s an open source wallet. Tether claims that Rumble wallet is built using their open source toolkit namely WDK, but wallet app itself is tightly integrated into Rumble platform, which is closed source itself. Based on that, it seems unlikely that the wallet can be considered as open source and the reference to WDK is nothing more than epy publicity gimmick. Correct me if I'm wrong on this matter.
