Mutirão para editar a Wikipedia do Bitcoin

Outro dia estava lendo a Wikipedia do Bitcoin, acredito que dá para melhorar (tanto em edição quanto adição)..

O que você acham de um mutirão para editar a Wikipedia do Bitcoin? Nada melhor que uma equipe de especialistas como vocês Cool

É o primeiro local onde um leigo entra para aprender sobre um determinado assunto.. curiosamente, a página em português completará 14 anos nesta quarta-feira (14)*

Outra curiosidade é que a página em português parece mais "completa" que a inglesa, uma raridade.. pelas minhas pesquisas, a alemã é a mais completa de todas (está disponível em 133 idiomas).

Podemos ir primeiro fazendo um esboço por aqui ou em um google-docs, sei lá.... outra ferramenta colaborativa, não sei o que é melhor. Ou vai direto lá na Wikipedia? Eu nunca mexi com isso apesar de ter criado a conta.

Enfim, super apoio essa ideia, e to dentro... conte comigo.

Uma dúvida... é preciso ter alguma correspondência em conteúdo entre as versões EN e PT?

Apesar de eu evitar pesquisar conteúdos no wikipédia (exceto filmes e séries) devido a sua fama, eu posso topar com a ideia (dependendo da minha disponibilidade de tempo).

Por falar nisso, não sei qual foi a última vez que li algum conteúdo no wikipédia sobre bitcoin, mas pelo que eu vi, parece bem completa e cheio de referências.

Vou tirar um tempo pra ler tudo isso.

Existe também o bitcoin wiki, um wikipedia criado pela comunidade bitcoin, não sei se vem sendo atualizado, até existe uma board exclusiva para tratar desse assunto aqui no forum (não frequento ela), mas pelo que eu li algumas vezes quando precisei, me atendeu bem.

Criarei minha conta no wikipedia e vamos nos comunicando (embora não creio que tenho muita coisa pra contribuir).

Não, mas geralmente as páginas inglesas estão mais completas e servem como guia..

Uma pena que essa página não tem uma versão em português (vi agora que tem outros idiomas, mas o site é todo quebrado).. é um conteúdo um pouco mais técnico, talvez dê para importar alguma coisa dali para a Wikipedia também..

O que eu não gosto desse site é a organização, difícil encontrar o que se está procurando.

Depois vou dar uma olhada nessa aba, parece interessante.. nem sabia que existia Shocked

Quanto ao Wikipedia normal, não me importo de dar uma ajuda. Mas, tendo em conta as experiências que tive em edições, a coisa pode se tornar chata se houver algum user melhor classificado a reverter a informação atualizada.

Estava lendo seu tópico na outra aba.. o que ainda precisa ser feito na versão em inglês?

Eu sinceramente acho difícil encontrar as informações ali, sinto falta de um menu mais organizado, para começar.. imagino que tenha mais coisas a serem feitas além disso.

Retifico o que disse, "a navegação NÃO é fácil". Estava no mobile e não reparei na falta da palavra. Tongue

Tem de ser reorganizado. Para mim o pior é a organização. Mas, fazer menus num sistema Wiki não é fácil, principalmente para quem não é especialista. Eu entendo um pouco, mas não é a minha especialidade.

Então, eu coloco meu nome nessa lista também e acredito que temos usuários PT/BR com reputação suficiente para convencer o Theymos de que somos capazes.

Vontade eu tenho, mas confesso que também não tenho experiência com esse tipo de edição.
Teríamos que ter alguém que realmente entenda da edição no Wiki para não perdermos muito tempo entendendo como é que funciona, porque a pior coisa é realmente fazermos algo, ver que não ficou bom e aí ter que reescrever do jeito correto ou "menos errado".

Fora isso, a gente começa com uma tradução do que tem hoje, tomando o cuidado para adequar certos textos à realidade de Portugal e Brasil, seja substituindo as informações que tem ou então só adicionando as particularidades... como por exemplo nas páginas que fala sobre exchange.

Enfim.... uma coisa acho certa: Precisamos focar esforços na Wikipedia.org ou Bitcoin wiki, não dois não vai rolar.

As more miners join, the rate of block creation increases. == Staking ==

Staking is a concept in the [[Delegated proof of stake]] coins, closely resembling pooled mining of proof of work coins. According to the [[Proof of Stake|proof of share]] principle, instead of computing powers, the partaking users are pooling their ''stakes'', certain amounts of money, blocked on their wallets and delegated to the pool’s staking balance.

The network periodically selects a pre-defined number of top staking pools (usually between 20 and 100), based on their staking balances, and allows them to validate transactions in order to get a reward. The rewards are then shared with the delegators, according to their stakes with the pool.

Although staking doesn’t require lots of computing power as mining, it still needs very stable and fast Internet connection in order to collect, verify and sign all transactions in the queue within a small timespan, which can be as short as one second. If a pool fails to do so, it doesn’t get the reward, and it may be shared with the next pool in order.

A lot of [[altcoin]]s are using staking. Staking is often marketed as a much more efficient alternative. Unfortunately staking has the potential to not be much different than politics. A good example is that it's easy for a big actor to take over the network by simply buying enough coins. This actually happened in 2020 when TRON's Justin Sun took over the Steem "forum" network and then did some things that made some people unhappy.

Basicamente com tags simples compões tudo. Apenas tem de se entender o que representa cada tag, e rapidamente percebe-se o esquema.
Eu tenho algumas noções, mas como não tenho pratica, acaba por ser um pouco demoroso, mas nada que não se consiga fazer.

Que eu saiba é muito dificil conseguir aprovação para editar esse tipo de página do Wikipedia.

Além disso, existe muita gente tentando caçar backlinks nesse tipo de página.

Mas que tipo de informação colocar lá? me parece muito boa essa pagina do wikipedia

Então, eu dei uma pesquisada por aqui e descobri que na verdade existe uma solução....
A Wiki do Bitcoin é baseada no "MediaWiki" e ela possui uma extensão chamada VisualEditor que ajuda à editar o texto com uma interface visual e botõezinhos para fazer as formações como sublinhado, negrito, links, separadores, etc....

Mas... acho que essa extensão não está ativada no wiki do Bitcoin, teria que confirmar isso com o @theymos

Acho que tem também como configurar localmente o MediaWiki para executar no computador, aí edita as páginas localmente e depois sobe pra lá.

Encontrei também uma "sandbox" online do MediaWiki onde poderíamos usar o editor, você pode acessar ela aqui

O trabalho começa com as sintaxe para submenus, sublinks, links de referência, e outros detalhes.

Editar o que existe é mais fácil, porque a extrutura já está lá e é só ajustar.. As, quando é preciso criar páginas novas dá mais trabalho.

Por exemplo, crias uma página sobre uma wallet, depois se queres que essa página fique listada na lista das wallets, tens de ir a página dessa lista e editar. Se depois quiseres que a página da wallet ficar alinha com essa lista, tem ainda de colocar o link para ela.

É essa parte que torna o processo de organização mais demorado. Com prática fica mais ágil.
