It is quit unfortunate that in our local societies today,the intake of hard drugs in now common that those who take it no longer hide in taking it.

Come out to the major streets,you will see people taking hard drugs as if it has legally approved by the government.

The law enforcement agencies that is supposed to check mate this people are even taking it more...

This has become a serious problem in our locality..as

1). You see young people continue to go mad everyday in our society.

2).there is an increase in crime.

3). Criminality is on the increase.

4).Lack of good health.

We must come to the reality that no system, enforcement agency or parents can enforce any law they themselves are not willing to obey.
You can not say I forbid meat, and you still use your teeth to share the same meat.

The high intake of hard drugs today in our society is based on these factors.

1. Lack of good parental up-bringing.
2. Yielding to peer pressure due to lack of understanding.
3. Low self-esteem, so trying to belong and be noticed.

So many people due to lack of understanding use this hard drugs to stimulate strength for sex or strength to work beyond normal time without knowing the dangerous after effect.

Unless this situation is changed from the beginning, at some point it will turn into an epidemic. The new generation will continue to think that drug use is completely legal in society. The government has to play a major role in this concern. If no one comes forward to prevent it because it can be a threat to them, if the government makes these laws and takes action against them, the use of drug can be reduced to a large extent. The roads from where drugs are smuggled must be closed. If the government's efforts are honest and the people working surround it and play a good role in controlling it, then it is definitely possible to eradicate drugs. Who working to control drug should be monitored to see if they are also drug addicts or corrupt, otherwise it is not possible to control.

Soon in the near future we will start having a blown rate in people between the age of 25 to 40 suffering from lungs, liver, kidney and heart diseases as a result of intake of hard drugs substances and other dangerous substances to the body that they consume just to have a highnesses feeling. Some do take these drugs to have sex drive that will last them in bed for long.
Not in all bad characters of a youth that will be blaming their parents. There are youths that were groomed in the way of the lord along with their siblings but one chooses to go astray due to social influence of peer groups.

Morality is going into extinction gradually, you see young women are into drugs too, they even market it codedly and sell to others. Most of these young men now take it anywhere and anyhow like In an open space and no fear of being caught by security agencies.

And parents need to do well too, working to give your children the best life is good, but don't forget to always be present in their lives. Children that boards are often prone to drug's, and if care is not taking in years to come young men and women will be walking the streets deranged.

This might sound foolish to some people, but I really think it depends more on the individual that is into drugs. Some of this people have a very good home bringing,  but still end up doing drugs, so you don't blame there parents for their own decisions. On the government part, most will argue that the government is corrupt and don't take care of their citizens; this statement is also true, but sometimes you see people that are well to do, with a very good job and are still into drugs.
So in conclusion,  I think it's an individual thing rather than blaming the government or parents.

The danger of intake of drugs by Nigerian youth can not be overemphasized. The truth is hard drugs is very bad for our health,  but I wonder why most Nigerian youth still engage in it. There are so much danger associated with the intake of hard drugs, and the habit of taking hard drugs is common among the youths, and they are so much addicted to it that they have lost total control of it.

Yes, I do see it somewhat differently, but I do understand your point. Yes, individuals must be able to make their own personal decision, but society also has a significant impact on those decision. People's upbringing in poverty, negative influences, stress, and a lack of opportunities all contribute to the fire. This is a very serious topic that needs a proper sensitization , the government needs to organize a program and tag it the negative effect of drugs on the Youths, there has been drugs from time immemorial and people has been into drugs too but not what it has become today, youths has taken it upon themselves to abuse drugs and this has negative effects on the Youths and has rendered many homeless because they sell their belongings to foot the bills for drugs.

Gen Z doesn't see intake of hard drugs as a crime anymore because the government have failed to carry out their duties properly. What matters is that you should avoid the environment where people take hard drugs to keep you safe from danger.
