Bitcoin and time machine

I am sure I am not the first one for whom this thought crystalized so clearly, and I think Michael Saylor did say something along these lines...

If there was a time machine which could take you into the future, but only you and none of the other things including your cash, your gold, your smartphone/computer, and not even Bitcoin. But then you realize that all you have to do is take yourself into the future while your Bitcoin will travel into the future all by itself, and will be there waiting for you.

Just something I felt like sharing with others.

He did not say any of this, I searched on Google and did not find any of his statements related to this, instead whenever he talked about the relation of BTC with time and space, he always meant from the economic perspective. This blog comprised of 10 things that Saylor said about BTC and all of them are weird and illogical but might have deep meanings as well.

We should not relate BTC with future, all he meant was to say, in time and space, economically BTC is going to give us a better future, the statement where he said about transferring into 10,000 days in future, that means, investing now, will bring economically better future 10,000 days after, which are around, 2048 because he made that statement in October 2, 2020.

so remembering your bitcoin seed when you 'travel' to the future(wait around long enough) you too can collect your bitcoin

others trying to bruteforce keys to steal coin, coming across your bitcoin stash keys has odds of a grain of sand amongst all dust in the solar system
however odd of a real estate developer buying the land you dug your capsule under, where they find it and steal your gold. odds are riskier to hide your gold in the ground

We can relate bitcoin in the future as future currency but anything like time machine into the future is some sort of bullsh1t. Michael saylor is quite rich already even his addicted to the bitcoin cryptocurrency he cant do much the impossible youre speaking of.

Time machine is unreal and if ever this is true, obviously everyone wanted to go back at the price it was still low and not much traction.

There is never going to be a time machine that will take you into the future, so except you are an aspiring movie producer planning to drop a master piece with this fictional idea then I will suggest you channel the energy into something else.
Don't create something unrealistic but to me holding Bitcoin right now is the best preparing for a solid future.

Why try to think of something that is impossible to do.
I don't want to focus too much on wishful thinking because in the end in bitcoin we don't really need that but we need our own actions for the future to be better.

No matter how hard we try to think about going back to the past it is difficult and in the end instead of fantasizing about something that is not important it would be better to focus on what we have to do so that the future we dream of can be done well.
That in the end would be a pretty good thing to do and it's definitely worth it because after all preparing for the future in the end definitely makes more sense in this case than thinking about something unnecessary.

I think you are right that it's not just you that think something like this but that's all there is to it and you can never do it in the future. In my opinion, it is impossible to do what you just said unless time travel is really possible but I never heard anything about someone did able to travel into the future but I didn't so it is just what I said earlier that it's all just a what if story.

Actually, thats not true. There absolutely is a "time machine" that takes you into the future, and you are in it right now: its called everyday life. 

You are literally traveling into the future at a constant rate of one second per second.  We are all future travelers by default.

The problem after you travel to the future, you can't find the place where you dig a hole because buildings or any big structure is already built on the place where you put all your gold/jewellery.
Unlike memorizing your seed phrase, just make sure you memorize them after you travel to the future I am sure you can retrieve them immediately.

For me, if there's a time machine, why would I go to the future? For me, I am going back to the past where the BTC price is very cheap, that should be a smart decision, and then I am going to buy at least 100BTC and hold it until this year.

Sorry, but I couldn't find even a similar one on this line.  I don't think that's what someone actually said.

It’s out there, running circles around your clueless self, quietly stacking value while you’re stuck in the past.

So while you’re busy dragging your dead weight forward, Bitcoin’s already miles ahead, waiting for you to catch up. Maybe next time, don’t overthink it so much and just let your money do the heavy lifting.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

1. Your current coins would be protected with OP_CHECKSIG, wrapped in that way or another, under any address type in use. It can be unspendable, when "quantum secure" things will be introduced.
2. The amount of your UTXOs could be around the dust limit, and could be discarded by new versions of "more pruned" nodes, which would be "spam resistant". And then, you would not only need your seed, but also your previous transaction, to spend them in the future.
3. You don't know, how the future would look like. After travelling, you may have no way to go back to the past, and you may be disappointed, if the future will be different, than you imagine (for example: Bitcoin can be illegal, or require restrictive KYC).

Edit: If you travel to the future, your existence may be erased from the present. And then, I'm not sure, in what kind of future you will land, and how you will pass future KYC rules:

Sorry, but I couldn't find even a similar one on this line.  I don't think that's what someone actually said.

I have a vague recollection of MS saying this ^{or similar} and anyway its really
like something he would come up with to explain to everyone who doesnt already
get the concept.

We are still in the "early days" of Bitcoin, even 16 years on from the Genesis block.
Getting into Bitcoin now and HODL'ing will benefit us in the future.

Applying the same analogy to Gold and Silver doesnt work, actually nothing else
works because nothing compares to Bitcoin.

Well, if you just brought up Michael Saylor's quote here, can you give me a reference to it? Because I don't remember when and where he said it.

And if the question comes to time travel, then why would you want to go to the future when if you can go to the past, you can get about ten thousand bitcoins worth $10. Whereas now, if you go to buy a bitcoin, you have to spend about one hundred thousand dollars. So it would be wiser to go to the past instead of going to the future. I think this topic should have been off-topic.

Quite impressive of your taughts here mate. But I wonder why I'll want to go to the future, why not the past? A lot of investors including my self wished we had bought bitcoin much earlier in 2010. I guess I wasn't even aware of such then, just living a random youthful life. I tried getting the post where Micheal saylor had talked about this time machine buh just can't find it. I wish the op would at least drop a link for someone to reference to. But once again, time machines is just a futuristic idea that might not even exist in this world.

It's not an analogy buddy but it's just a supposition and it's just a fantasy in the end because it can be seen from the main word mentioned by the OP in his thread starting with “if” and I think we know if it's not an analogy in the end.

Regardless of whether the OP believes or not then when he says that if there is a time machine indirectly it is a fantasy that obviously can't happen right?
A time machine would only be a fiction that exists in movies or cartoons.

I'm glad I didn't think about that, I prefer to just focus on thinking about the present, and I don't think about machines from the future, if there's one thing I definitely don't waste my time watching, it's videos of people talking about how they can travel through time. That's because there's been a lot of nonsense they've been saying.

for example, if you traveled to the future, but left your bitcoin in the present, you would probably find your other self in the future with bitcoin, and if you could get your present bitcoin in the future, you might not be able to use it because the technology of the future would be different. How would you deal with your future self and the new bitcoin technology? There are so many questions about this time machine thing that it's better not to even think about it too much.

Uniquely, Bitcoin arrives first, which makes Bitcoin have to wait for you in the future.
This is the same as saying that no stupid person is really stupid if he has a brain that is used to think.

2012 until now has arrived in almost the middle of 2025. How many years have it been and how much learning can be used as capital. If you still don't know how the action should be done.
A classic comparison is that people without brains buy gold to get rich. People with brains who are used to thinking buy gold so as not to be poor.
As the years pass, people think that buying gold can make a profit, even though fiat has no price.

So what about Bitcoin. Yes, think for yourself.
